I loved watching Nestea. I don't think he was the best player ever, but when he was on top, I feel like he was further ahead of everyone else than any other players ever will be. It might have been relatively brief compared to guys like Maru today, but during his reign he was so far ahead of everyone else playing.

When Naniwa faced him, Protoss was the strong race against Zerg. Colossi had higher damage to light units so they could sweep once and kill half of a Zerg's army. Void Rays had extremely high damage to armored units, so they could destroy infestors and roaches.

There's a reason NesTea's one of the top 3 best performing players of SC2, he's fallen off the front scene lately since he lost to MVP in Blizzcon finals but there's no way in he,ll he's not top 10 player in the world. Naniwa sure as hell isn't. MC, Parting, Seed are on Nestea's level.
what are you talking about lol........ void ray's only nerf was losing the speed upgrade and the way the damage charge worked which was actually even considered a buff by most people, and collosi damage was never changed ever since the beginning of beta
There's homes that don't have one? Sounds risky. I mean, I don't know how NesTea feels about it, but when someone's that powerful it's better to not take the gamble.
i dont know what youre talking about, void rays still do more damage to armored and massive units, infestors have been armored all the time, and collosi and void rays were never nerfed from the point where naniwa defeated him, collosi especially have not been nerfed a single time
Maybe he's become better as well? No doubt the skill cap in BW was (is) incredibly high, but that doesn't mean you win 3 GSLs by accident in SC2, lol. In fact, there are two things you can deduce from NesTea becoming so successful: A) the game's priorities and skill requirements have shifted (if it were just easier, a single player couldn't stay on top for a long time), B) he has improved a lot. None of this is bad. Should I not worship Roger Federer because he used to be bad or sucks at Rugby?

Both were nerfed. Void Rays lost damage to armored, and Colossi lost damage to light. They still do bonus to both, but not as much.
