- Join us as we explore Gravesend in Kent and discover some of the local history including the story of Pocahnotas and gaze acroos the river Thames to Tilbury.
Beginning our evening at Gravesend riverside we explore an abandoned fort now set amongst parkland before we take a walk along the river to the pier.
Here we gaze across the River Thames to Tilbury where we will be departing on our Disney Magic At Sea cruise in September.
Keeping on a Disney theme we head to the final resting place of Princess Pocahontas and see the statue erected in her memory.
Join is in todays vlog for all of that and more as we spend an amazing evening in Gravesend!

I wonder if I'll ever stop being jealous of all the great places you have to explore. We have lots of nice beaches here - which is great if you just want to go to the beach. And while I love watching waves, I'd much rather an area to explore - esp. if it's got history. I've watched a few Disney Magic cruise videos this week and am so excited for you (and for us getting to share your trip :-)). Jason is such a good tour guide. I did like the top Josh was wearing - I thought it must be a new one.
Probably not .. wait till you see some of the incredible places we will be visiting on our road trip 😍

That look on Jason's face at the end he didn't look to thrilled, was so funny when josh said "he thinks it'd make him smart." I don't think that's why they named it that. That's a nice view from up there with the waves. What did u mean by where Pocahontas was last at? Also does that mean the animated only had something true in it? You two look like you had a great day learning things also does that mean the ships there? And I have a book where it talks about her.
I’ve read quite a few British colonial ship manifests and they leave from gravesend to America.
Well I’ve lived here 40 years and this town was happening at one time but Debenhams has gone, so has Marks and Spencer, BHS, Our Price and even Chiesmans. Also half the pubs have gone. If you want a charity shop, a mobile phone shop, a pound shop or a hairdresser then we’ve got you covered. Everything good has gone. Thanks to Bluewater. Even the cinema burnt down. Shame as this town was buzzing once.
