- Welcome aboard! Carla and I thoroughly enjoyed the ride! Spectacular action and amazing scenery way down under in Queenstown, New Zealand. It snowed the day before, so strong currents and big waves of milky, ice water drenched us repeatedly! Join us as we plow through rocking-chair rapids and jet through very, shallow straights, and hull spin/bow dip drenchings!

On Bottom R side of your screen be sure to USE the (settings gear) to set quality to at least 360p (phone) and 1080p (Blur-Ray ) on bigger screens. Also TURN ON (CC) closed caption (if you want the information on the The Jet boat and River History including mining and Jet-Boat Dynamics. (ULTRAWIDE POV)
Unlike most onboard POV Videos I set my GoPro to a full Panoramic Wide/Tall Mode to capture a much wider and taller view of the full surroundings. Then processed it down to fit the 1080P screen! The finished video is an Ultra Wide and High View that is slightly compressed into full Blu-Ray 1080P quality! You will notice that it still shows what is in the boat, but also shows MUCH MORE of the SURROUNDINGS. Compare it to other formats, (even most 4k,) The difference is significant!
(SLOWED MOTION)
I also slowed the video at some intense points to allow our minds to process and fully appreciate the detailed reality we are seeing, (Like traveling very, very fast in about 3 inches of water!) As stated above, I also encourage seeing the (PHOTO) with stop motion, (USING PAUSE AND STOP). And (THIS CAN BE DONE ON ANY (P) progressive frame rate video, like 1080p, but not 1080i .
But I also left it full speed on the return pass.

how do they keep people off the River when they running because the guy has to know hes not gonna meet someone
Did this one in 2018 and used the Go Pro as per this video - excellent experience! They keep in touch with the other boats via 2 way radio and have designated spots to stop to allow other boats to pass.
