iOS 18 feels like it’s going to be more of an AI focused update rather than a major redesign which, in my opinion, is needed more than AI at this time.

Redesign is purely cosmetic, whereas AI would allow for a much smarter Siri and OS in general, which if you ask me is way more useful.
@@rodhashemi AI is also purely cosmetic.. it’s become a business trend at this point. A redesign however would give us better navigation and layout. Look at the messy control centre for example. If anything Apple needs to focus more on battery and performance, rather than the trendy AI..

@@smartalic5 Performance is fine though, IOS is already extremely fast. What’s not fine, however, is how behind Siri is in terms of her capabilities and overall intelligence, and AI would finally address this.
I would like Apple to redesign all the icons on the iPhone. We had the same icons for a couple of years it is time for an update. Apple maps should be updated similar to Waze.
I wish they would come out with a pencil that works on iPhones.

What i would like to see is notifications should pop up from the dynamic island. its just annoying at this point that the notifications on the iPhone just drop down. At least with iPhones that have dynamic island should have this feature where notifications expand from the dynamic island

I currently have some pretty old apple devices, I still have a IPad 6th gen and I’m actually happy they are no longer supporting it. I noticed a pretty big change in speed when I updated it to IPad OS 17. I turned off auto updated because I’m not updating the software on this other than for security updated. I still have an Apple Watch SE First gen that works great and I’m nervous to even update this to the next OS. When do you feel like we should stop doing the updates?

New AI kind of Siri,

zollotech? what is the safer way to update my version OS for my iphone 15promax? through PC (like what app?) or through the phone alone ?
Always do a backup before any update, local backup is fine, I just usually do iCloud and have never had a problem. Then run the iOS update on phone.

What about if you don’t want any of these new AI features on your phone, personally i have never talked to a single person who has said hey I wish my iPhone had AI, i just feel like the majority of people are not asking for any of these things

If iOS 18's only new feature will be consistent system-wide "go back" gesture, I'll be the happiest man alive for the rest of my life. The way it's handled in iOS at moment is the biggest UX f-up since the term UX was thought of.

Hello zollo i have had a problem since upgrading my iphone 12 to ios 17.4..my phone is showing its charging but the percentage its not increasing until i restart an iphone its when it charges normally..any help

It depends on how much are you willing to spend. The iPhone 13 Pro Max definitely has the better value right now. However, if you have the chance, get the 15 series because of usb c.
Go with the 15plus for the battery life & price. It’s one of the best “ value “ IPHONES that you can currently purchase.
As an Android user I think it’s about time for Apple to start including split screen considering it’s going to have more RAM.
Better battery performance is hugely needed. On iPhone 15 Pro is an urgent must.

Apple need fix the problem with misscalling from the last call list. Its so easy to make a call by misstake, the phone is so fast.
The easiest way is swipe to call and the problem is solved. ( swipe to clear is there )And also an option to get to home screen after ending a call.

I’d like to see Notes tables have basic functions included.
The one thing I really want to see for iPad is that apps have the ability to change the pencil from markup mode to pointer mode right in the app. At least every Apple app should have that as standard. You don’t always want the pencil to be in markup by default, and some apps don’t even have the option of pointer mode.

I have iPhone but I’m still going back to android this fall, when pixel 9 comes out.

Upgraded my 13 mini with a third party higher capacity battery that works like a champ with much longer duration. Of course the iOS won’t recognize battery health or cycle count because it isn’t an original component. I highly doubt Apple will EVER change that.
As a voiceover user, I do hope for more features on the new iOS but there is one feature that I am hoping to see for the Messages app.
That is the ability to schedule when a message can be sent for iMessage users, for example to choose when a message Can be sent at a certain day and time. It could be done on android using Google‘s version of Messages, and Gmail.
How about we have all the new features that work properly right when iOS 18 is released and not have to wait until just as iOS 19 is release Siri continues requests has never worked on my iPhone 15 prob

As a VoiceOver user, I would like there to be all versions of each of the Vocalizer and TTS voices (pre and post-iOS16) available for download. Perhaps, they could call the older versions of what used to be the enhanced voices "Extreme" or "Ultra", as they are usually bigger than the current versions of such voices as: Tom, Samantha, Ava and others from the before days. I have heard that some people don't like the newer versions of most of the voices and in some cases, I kinda agree that they aren't as good as they were. However, I can't see why it couldn't be possible to make both the newer and older versions of all of the voices available, including Fred.
What AI are we talking about? Where's the pause for video recording? Where is the shutter release by voice command? Where is the clipboard manager? Where is the display of the remaining time until the alarm goes off? Where are the keyboard settings, including adding a row of numbers and a comma at the first level?

IOS 18 will be implemented mostly for the IPHONE 16 lineup more than anything else. Hopefully, there won’t be many bugs that come along with the features that mainly benefit the 16 series.

I would like my home screen to not have anything on it. Like android phones I don’t mind a few icons at the bottom when you think about it. What’s the sense of having a wallpaper when it’s all covered up with apps. I don’t think Apple do it, but that doesn’t surprise me.
If AI is to be implemented, Apple needs to introduce a separate timetable to the way software updates are currently introduced. It will be interesting to see how, Apple manages the introduction of AI concurrently with software updates, if not.

I would love to have the ability to share files back and forth with my Desktop which is a WINDOWs pc. Right now if someone sends me a file in a text message I have to save it locally then email it to myself. Pain the the butt!!
AirDrop on windows would be great or any other computer
Airdrop direct to Windows operating system would be best, but I use OneDrive between IOS and Windows at this point. It is one way to share Office applications between platforms.

I’m straight up bored of iPhone software now I want to customise the control center, I want to customise my phone more than what’s available but that will never happen. 🤨🤨
I know it’s probably the easiest thing for Apple to do, but I really wish they would start updating their apps like Apple Music and Notes with regular updates instead of pushing system updates I mean they do it with their Eye work suite of apps why can’t they with other ones.

If people stop buying $7000 hearing aids and buy $200 headphones that are just as good, and more useful. Apple will definitely become a monopoly. Yeah sometimes Apple is a pain in the ass. But a mature adult with a slightly higher room temp IQ can say they do some pretty badass things time to time.

I would rather them get it right than add a bunch of features that don't half work. These systems are getting a lot more bugs in recent years. There is no reason iPads can't run MacOS. They have the same chips in them. They don't want us to buy an iPad or a Mac. They want to sell us BOTH a iPad AND a Mac
