Are you an accessibility user? Which iOS 18 feature are you looking forward to the most?
Also, Iâm hoping that will make my iPad seventh generation perform my better with the scrolling texture when I swipe a lot very fast on my iPad with voiceover because with 17 updates is very laggy and buggy and keeps pushing me up to the beginning and then sometimes if I swipe the opposite trying to go up, it will push me down
Thanks for the awesome report for voiceover
Eye tracking and vocal shortcuts for sure!
@@Hanatsuki27 to be honest, Stephanie and thatâs actually not a bad idea but for me, I am most looking forward to new voices with voiceover with iPadOS and iOS 18.0
Hi Brandon, what is your best guess as to when the next iWatch Ultra will be released?
Motion sickness feature is a MUST for me
Hope it helps me
Hell yes
Same, dont know if it will work. But just hoping
Same
Yea, now you can use your phone more easily while driving. How nice!!!?
The eyes tracking feature is next level.
Right!? It's been done before on devices but I'm sure this will far exceed what we've seen in the past
Samsung has done that already
â @@chydi10and it was horrible. Thatâs why they removed it.

Finally, one of the most genuine IOS 18 leaks, rather than just a views magnet, im here for it
Apple loves "leaking" their Accessibly features đ
Edit: for those who don't get sarcasm/didn't watch the first 2 seconds of the video - this is clearly not a "leak" as Apple announced these
itâs not even a leak really lol most of this stuff was quietly announced by apple themselves - happens every May
@@mvterivlistic didn't know that before watching the video

That would be dope
There is a Garageband workaround to set custom ringtones.
@@ItsShaggy3 garageband is too difficult for me

Search up on how to do it. It's actually possible. Even I've replaced the discord incoming call as my main ringtone

Apple is soon getting back to its rightful place. At the top of the food chain
It never left, thats why it is getting sue for monopolistic practices.đ
@@workhard2belazyâreeee, you canât be too good in a free market, itâs monopolistic!â
Apple's R&D team is nailing it!
Yaa, how to make people poor by not giving anything đ€Łđ€Ł
They are? This update seems boring. Yay....more accessibility features..
Boring
If music haptics functions as a âvibratorâ it would be great as a stimming tool for us awtis!
I thought you were going somewhere else with this comment, ngl
I love that you did a video covering all of the new accessibility features that will be coming in iOS eighteen! I am blind, and I use VoiceOver on my iPhone, as well as the Braille Screen Input keyboard to type text on my phone. I'm very excited to see how Apple will improve the editing experience using BSI. Oh, and I'm excited to see what new VoiceOver voices will be available in iOS eighteen :)
The eye tracking is going to be so useful when you want to use your device while eating and youâre using both hands to eat!
It's basically air commands from early Samsung features, but I'm glad to see Apple innovating, especially with circle to search on Android.
Or just take a break and enjoy your food
I'm by no means an Android person but I did have a Galaxy S4 many years ago and they tried to do this back then - the tech sucked though, I'm sure it's going to be a lot better now
@@DavanteWilson-dc4wiyea Samsung did it years ago but where is it now? It sucked ass back then and was a battery hog. Itâs very typical of Samsung to release half baked features only to claim that they did it first. To me it doesnât matter who does it first. It matters to me how they do it. Appleâs implementations generally tend to be more thought out or unique.
Brandon: Eye Tracking
Me: Oh Iâm using that!
Brandon: Itâs not meant for you!
Me: The Grinch is back and heâs meaner than ever!

I know. Very strange wording on that section. ANYONE can use accessibility features. If you work daily making accessibility features, you know, they are designed for anyone who wants to enhance their experience or benefit from them. You certainly do not need a disability in order to be allowed to use them.
@@RodneyGracia I was just making a joke mate, what Brandon was actually saying was the features are first and foremost designed to be used by those who need them and not to expect them to work perfectly if those who donât âneedâ them use them. He was saying temper your expectations. đđ»
@@InimitaPaul I understand that mate.
Im hoping for the motion sickness one I could really use that
Well itâs coming so prepare to use it soon!
Awesome, I have a severe traumatic Brain Injury and have difficulty doing speech to text because of my Brain Injury cannot pronounce words correctly most of the time and I feel I need something that learns my speech to be able to do this.
And smarter being able to read the text would also help very much but sometimes I donât understand what itâs saying and I have to try my best to read the words .
Still alive trying to live life to the max when I still can .
i hope you get better, howd it happen?

Vocal Shortcuts is going to be my most used feature.
I believe already exists, was not already an option in the Shortcuts app?
@@NicolasCenzanoSilvait is, I have a few jokey ones set up but this sounds like itâll be easier to set up.
Iirc itâs kind of a pain now
Iâm always impressed with companies making ordinary life accessible for everyone. Iâm all for everyone feeling a part of a whole.
Brandon!!! Finally new iPad has the battery health feature!!! Iâve just noticed it
Iâm usually a lurker on here, but I subscribe to long time ago.
Huge respects for going over the Accessibility features for some of us who actually use them.
Thank you and keep it up.
I love the Alex voice! But I'm still looking forward to exploring the new voices iOS 18 will bring.
Voiceover exclusively
iPhone 12 mini
Especially on macos, apple has a lot to answer with horrible bugs like safari does not respond when browsing the web that has been there for many years now. If they don't correct existing bugs I'll be calling out for marketing shit for public eyes. The ability to customize keyboard shortcuts is most welcome on mac though criminally late and we're yet to see the screen recognition introduced in ios 14 or so ported to mac.
Acapela voices, like those on my Victor Reader Trek talking GPS/book player, are missing. I wonder if those are some of the new voices!
Eye tracking letting you swipe will be amazing for reading, or scrolling through TikTok or other short form videos(reels, YT Shorts, etcâŠ)
I switched from android to apple a few years ago with the 13 pro and had been loving it!
As someone with a disability, the brand is well known for its accessibility features, which also intringued me and solidified my phone choice.
I am very excited for these new features!

@@Lonwolf. Not really, my previous phone was a Samsung Galaxy S8+ ;). I don't upgrade my phone every year.
Hey Brandon, do you think eventually we can get sound haptic outside of music, maybe for streaming services like netflix and hulu movies ?
Eye tracking is lit def using it
Soooo they are making it easier to use your phone while driving. Nice
Awesome Video! I will definitely look into those features once iOS 18 is available to the public in September!
The eye feature won't be a great feature for u considering ur eye đđđ
Music haptics will be awesome.
I can imagine that new taptic music feature draining your battery so quick
Is the vibration music thing avaiable for spotify when it comes out?
Which phones do you think will get the eye tracking bc I donât think older phones like the xr will
As a hearing impaired person I am going to love being able to feel the beat of the music and actually be able to feel sound.
Unfortunately it will only work for specific Apple Music songs as well as apps that have support for the feature in the music they play.
I think the new accessibility features will be brilliant.
For the voice control one is it designed solely for your voice or for anyone's voice?
Will the taps come to spotify?
Huge ups for Apple for bringing such useful accessibilities. Atypical speech seems like a great one.
It's nice to know they will be available. They may not be used, but for some use, there is the assurance that they are available should the need arise.
Handy video Brandon! I'm a daily accessibly user for several of its features. I'm looking forward to the increasing of font, its size and colour.
OohoooHOooooH. Accessibility features!
motion sickness is going to be such a help man.
When will Apple release the new sports app to countries outside the USA, Canada and UK?
is there any chance for clipboard features đ
We can already see everything in your photos, we say itâs all on your iPhone, but, we get it whenever we want.
have a couple of friends that would benefit for sure
It could also be that some features will be exclusive for devices with the Face ID Sensor.
Iâm all for these new accessibility features thatâs INNOVATIVE THINKING
Battery life coming down to 30% for 24h đ
This is a W. But I hope iOS 18 we get a new UI to the iPhone. I love iPhone, but itâs time to switch it up now.
if they introduce the eye tracking feature for all iphone following iphone X and onwards. Does this mean they've been tracking us using the front camera all this time? to get tonnes of data for training this model?
This is why people like apple, its the little things
At 4:30, the âVocal Shortcutsâ you think you know, is referring to âVoice Controlâ. Go to:
Settings < Accessibility < Voice Control.
Thank you for the informative video. I just wanted to report that I woke up today and my whole battery usage was reset even though I didnât touch it. I tried to restart the device and it just wonât show. Running IOS 17.5 since itâs release
Watching movies with the haptic rumble thingy is gonne be fun.
still on ios 15.8, lovely iphone 7 its always been trusty for 8 years nearly.
Looking forward to seeing the redesign
Really looking forward to what IOS 18 has to offer đđ€đ»đ
Iâm very interested in the eye tracking. I have the new iPad Pro 13 inch and the iPhone 15 Pro Max
I am very happy to hear of the new VoiceOver and braille features, particularly being able to assign keyboard shortcuts on the mac. VoiceOver saw one of its worst times this year with IOS 17 and MacOS Sonoma, so many bugs and most remain in the latest versions, even ones dating back to beta 1.
2011, 2017, 2023, we must be on a 6-year pattern of âbuggiest VoiceOver year everâ.
Bruhhhâs home is at 72 degrees.. must be freezing wtf đđ„¶
It's usually 70 lol
72 is warm for me. Typically keep it 70 or less in my house. And at night 68 or less.
72 is pretty common, if not a bit warm for room temperatureâŠ
Does android and a Samsung have the iOS 18?
Eye tracking sounds neat. Iâam in for any AI capable that becomes. I love creativity in whatever form it comes in.
Machine learning is all learning and sending it to apple.
Now these are the kind of updates that make the iPhone completely worth buying and using.
Itâs there a reason why only your videos work pip on a free version of CZcams?
Will there be a âgame modeâ similar to MacOS to improve performance with graphic intensive games/apps? This would be great because I want to get the max performance out of my iPhone 15 Pro Max when gaming.
I got a feeling that a phone is already optimized when gaming
Hey Brandon !
Missing your intro line in this video â€
turn on eye tracking and curl up in the blanket!
i just wanna see which ones go to ipad
As someone with lots of Deaf friends, Iâm in love with the haptic feature.
What about multitasking?
I love these features .. theyâre excellent⊠will be useful mostly for those that are impaired and others who will benefit from it.. but is accessibility the only features coming to iOS18
i hope the eye tracking will be on iphone 15 bro thats so cool
Unfortunately, I will not be using any of these featuresđGreat video, though!!!
As someone who is both visual impaired and hearing impaired I am excited to hear about these changes
Hope they fix the wifi connectivity issue my 13 pro max has had since. iOS 17 happened
very interested in this haptic feedback for music
I was really hoping it would work with any audio file in the Music app, so I could throw some audio files in there and see what kinds of haptics Iâd get!
It would be really great if it would work with all music I have a lot of my own music I have produced myself that not in Apple Iâm sure I am not the only one that records live music to play on their iPhones
Apple donât play about their accessibility and iâm here for it!
Wallpaper?
Whenâs notifications gonna come through the Dynamic Island
3:57 - has been there in shortcuts. It's one of the first things I set when I bought my first iPhone, in COVID times. People had to show their QR codes at entrances to visit stores etc, so I set up a keyword to say, it opened up my QR.
Where rcs support?
eye tracking in class while my phone is hidden but it can still see me đȘ
Thatâs insane
I was a lifetime ios user who switched to the z fold 5 and i couldn't be happier. You can do so much more with android
I am looking forward to iOS 18. Maybe I can check out one of the features with iOS 18đ
Brooooo if my iPad Pro M4 can do eye tracking⊠value investment for future proofing
i(Pad)OS is on it's way to be the best OS
Vehicle Motion Cues looks ridiculous to me! How could that possibly help? All of the other new accessibility features look interesting.
And I also hoping this is my last comment here and I hoping they were bring back the old classic tone for Siri similar to iOS 15 and older, but you know what they can have an option to choose which tone will the user preferred and also hoping youâll bring back that tone when you hold down the power button or the home button because Apple took this sound away, but it turns on when you called its name
How about honescreen customisation?
IOS 14 added widgets and 16 added blur option/multiple wallpapers. 18 is rumored to allow you to place icons anywhere, allowing you to have blank spaces.
Music haptic đ„ wow I know this from the PS5âs DualSense controller
âI feel like ive seen this beforeâ
The apple motto!
Iphone 16 we will hoping that it will include power bricks too
Hi Brandon, I own an iPhone 15 pro max and I use my phone on low power mode. Does this affect my BATTERY LIFE????
it doesnt effect it whatsoever
Magnifier is cool
And also for accessibility thing in the naughty, they should put like an important phone calls like notes conversation so we donât forget what the phone call was because I know I have trouble with that too. Just an idea.
@BrandonButch how's your experience with ios 17.5 is battery draining issue solved?
I never had battery drain so it's good for me
@BrandonButch great for me it's great on 17.5 no issue but in ios 17.4.1 it was disappointing
these features are so unique these times its almost like apple regained its creativity
