People keep saying they hate Maxine, and yes she should of got help when she was offered it, but part of the reason she developed Munchausens was because of all the abuse she went through when she was with Patrick.
Still, the storyline went on way too long, I got to the point of fast forwarding through many of Maxine’s scenes
YES she's been through a lot but so have so many other people. Siennas been through a lot but she still got the help she needed and turned her life around. So many people told Maxine to stop lying and tell the truth to Damon. Misbah, Dr Levi, Sienna, Mitchell they all told Maxine that she needed to stop and when Maxine said she would they all believed her. They had no idea how far they lie would go or what extremes Maxine would go to. She had a choice to stop but she didn't.

I think part of my problem with this storyline is the acting. It’s been cringeworthy so it’s hard to feel anything for Maxine except irritation tbh.

Technically, they both lied to eachother, Damon stole money and said the money was from his Dad and Max lied about her Illness. Max just forgot he lied.
Maxine's lie is far worse
He wouldn't have had to lie about the money if she didn't lie about being sick.........
Damon lie did not hurt anyone and did it out of love to give Maxine her dream wedding as he believed she was dying. There was nothing really bad in Damon’s lie. Maxine’s lies caused pain and hurt to Damon and their friends.

tilly It’s cheaper than expensive clothes, most television series use cheaper clothes unless they have the budget for expensive clothes and all expensive equipment for onscreen filming.

I actually think it would have ended better if Maxine kidnapped Damon and Minnie and locked them away for months once her death date was meant to be due and then after a few months someone finds Damon and tries to save them then Maxine sets the house on fire then at least one person dies

Imagine finding a confidential file you have no right to read, and then reading it and not apologising! Some might say: well they recognise the name on the file so they were obviously curious. But that’s even more of a reason to not read it, as it’s betraying confidentiality and someone you know. Then imagine being told that you can’t discuss the file as someone you know can be sued for malpractice but then running to confront the person whose confidential file you read!
Maxine should never have faked it, but the file should never have left a confidential space, should never have been read by non medical people and her medical details shouldn’t have been discussed in public by doctors or people she knew, without her consent.
Why would anyone ever lie about something like this? Making up lies to keep your husband? Vile.
I know this ain’t a excuse but she only developed munchaunses from the abuse she went threw with Patrick in the pass and losing everyone who she loved

So I've been away from the show for a while. Can someone tell me why everyone is saying Maxine is evil.cos last time I checked in she wasn't evil?
She told everyone she was dying and it went on for a LONG time and Damon embezzled money that was left in a fund for her illness to pay for a 'Living funeral' it was cringey as hell & he had to go to prison for it too

@@williamcollis455 Because she has Munchausens syndrome, but she was also taken it way too far as well and Sienna was trying to get her to come clean but she also wouldn't admit to herself that she needed to get help for herself until it was too late, this story line went on for a long time and it drove people nuts the things she was doing to everyone.

She lied, used people, used a lie to get her own way & made other people go through hell for her, because she said she was dying. People who knew she was lying, tried to get her to tell everyone else the truth, but she wasn't having it & started threatening them. There's no excuse for her behaviour.
