228 - Auto Maintenance Time | Right Rear Turn Indicator Failure | How I Fixed My Turn Signal Failure

- Today we are fixing my 2015 GMC Sierra SLT. I had a Right rear turn indicator failure. So I replaced the bulb and then it happened agian a week later. So we got the harness part number 22869171. I was able to find it on amazon. Then we had to lower the spare tire to get access to the wire harness to remove it. Additionally we had to remove the tail light lens. This is just how i did and take no responsibility if something gets damaged.

The lens removal are pretty easy but those gm/chevy spare tire lowering wire mechanisms can get pretty stubborn. Looks like yours worked normally.
Yeah it did and I was worried about that also. But be warned I did eat a bunch of dirt and made sure to get it in my eyes also. A car wash may have helped before doing this job.
@@LivingOutHere yeah, I've found that when under a vehicle looking up, 9 times out of 10 if something falls it will land in my eye.

No it is just a 1/2 ton and a gasser.

Mine actually has the rear signal indicator failure when I put the new harness on it. Any idea why it’s failing?
It could be a wire in the loom. Have to tested all the lights? And have you unplugged the harness from the truck and reconnected it? Also you could try to disconnect the battery for 5 mins and reconnect it to see if it clears the code / fault.
