I know this is a trio, but the Shield is a huge name there.
I mean all members are grand slam champions in WWE and are the best in the business today.
@@Shawntrimble9501well The New Day are still together but video is about team who split
@@jetstreamshun1738Xavier woods has had little to no success as a singles competitor
The tag team of the group was Roman and Rollins to be fair. But yes both have done very well for themselves
Titles don't make you good (eg: moxley)
Seth workhorse
Moxley hardcore
Roman lazy
Stone Cold and Brian Pillman had pretty good runs after the Hollywood Blonds, too.
Whatever happened to that blond Adonis "Stunning" Steve who used to team up with "Flying" Brian anyway?
*@OniNoSweeney* seriously. That Stunning Steve is the biggest what if in the history of Pro-Wrestling
Should have been in place of the steiners
The Hollywood blonds were the first team to come to my mind. I can’t believe they didn’t make the cut.
@brooklynarchitect210 that's a comment literally the only achievement rick made with without Scott's help was creating braun aside from that .... Rick had less than nothing
Beer Money were awesome in TNA i find it hilarious that when they split Bobby roode did what James storm did to Chris Harris 5-years before by hitting James storm with a beer bottle isn't that a brilliant dose of Karma lol.
Ciampa and Gargano are an example of how to make tag team guys into main eventers without making either look weak or inferior. While Edge and Christian have both had successful careers i genuinely think that Christian wouldnt have been pushed beyond Mid and Upper mid card act had he not left for TNA in late 2005
Ciampa and Gargano are main eventers? Last I checked both were lower mid card on Raw.
But Christian was being pushed pretty well before he left for tna
@@adamturner749 They were in NXT where both of them spent the most time.
@@night6724Not really from what I've seen, heard and watched after he got drafted to Smackdown he was just lost in the shuffle in the Midcard and was even on velocity apparently and Vince offered him a lower pay compared to how much he was making at the time when it was time to negotiate his new contract and that made him choose not to resign a long with his booking
@@adamturner749Ciampa just main evented a raw and gargano returned that same night
Miz and Morrison should definitely be on this list, Morrison collected almost as many championships as names traveling around to the likes of impact, aaa, Lucha underground and so on, and The Miz? Well that one I don’t really need to go into
Not a bad pick
Lmao those indy promotion is not comparable to what miz accomplished. Morrison is a great athlete but thats about it. Not enough to be called as a successful wrestler. And nonetheless morrison did not won anything in njpw thats enough to call him as a lower mid carder
@@abdurrahim7539 funny how you mainstream fans seem to think titles only count from mainstream promotions.
its not what i think. its what it is@@ferrisfamilygaming3876
Forgot Christian was also the 'ECW' Champion
How could you forget Detroit's own MCMG
That's true, the both made it big eventually!
@@OniNoSweeney I mean Alex Shelley is the current impact world champion while Chris Sabin has the most x division title reigns
I agree w/ this post and the 1st 2 comments here.
idk if they ever really permanently "split", but Satoshi Kojima and Hiroyoshi Tenzan both had a lot of singles success. Kojima is one of the only people to win the heavyweight title of the 3 major Japanese promotions, won the NWA heavyweight title, won the AJPW Champion Carnival, and won the G1. Tenzan also won the NWA heavyweight title, 4 IWGP heavyweight title wins, and won the G1 three times.
They were tough.
I always loved (AND HATED) when Muta, Chono, Sasaki and Tenzan came to WCW.
I hated how they were booked damn-near as jobbers or mid-carders, these guys were awesome.
Tenzan and Kojima were on a few of my Japanese ps2 wrestling games
@@PontFlair yeah WCW and WWE (for most of its history) always treated Japanese talent as a joke
I dunno, the success gap between Punk and Cabana is not only rather wide but also fairly comparable to the one between the Gunns, as Bart also carved out a nice career for himself in Japan after the whole Brawl for All thing. Can't see why one is an example of a Jannetty and the other gets to be on the list.
This is a weird, kinda silly list. Punk & Cabana is about as close to a modern-day Michaels & Janetty as you can get. Punk is one of the most successful and impactful wrestlers of his generation. And Cabana is Cabana.
I guess these guys don't like Punk? They barely mention him, make no specific mention of his multiple WWE world titles (including a year-plus reign), but hype Colt Cabana's journeyman career like he's Ric Flair. Cabana is 'a celebrated figure in AEW'... but the 2-time AEW World Champion gets just a snarky joke and that's it.
Oh, and the 'prestigious NWA title'...
Yeah, the list is very weird. You can't tell me that Jeff is not way more successfull than Matt Hardy.
Agreed, especially when Jannetty had a run with the IC and tag titles after the Rockers split, plus had top programs with Shane Douglas and Sandman in ECW.
@@mattb.2740 I recently watched the old Raw episodes and he was quite popular for a period. Way more popular than Cabana.
@@trevorbyrne4668 I mean Punks one of the biggest wastes of space walking why give him any respect?
For Edge & Christian As a Fan Of The Former It was Christian Cage's TNA run that was more entertaining In my opinion namely cause of the promotions lack of Mainstream appeal the way I liked it
I wasn't watching at the time and was way too young but after watching a bunch of stuff from his run there it was awesome and really showed Christian could be a main eventer whether a heel or face if Vince had actually tried and his matches were really good
@@Kalel2.0his Jeff Jarrett impersonation made Christian a star to me
You guys should do a list of unusual tag teams that nobody saw coming that turned out to be memorable like The Bar
Hollywood blondes should be on this list in theory because whilst they were relatively successful individually before the team, they both exploded in popularity and success after they split.
Had Pillman never gotten in that car accident, him and Stone Cold would BOTH be at the top of the WWF/E card
The 'Evil'/Sonada' story is a SUCH BEAUTIFIL wrestling tale
I never realized Edge And Christian has won a total of 16 titles between them WOWSERS
2:31 Stevie Ray is packing heat lol. Horace is probably thinking "who has a night stick in their pocket?". Hahah
I need Dustin Rhodes to show up in NWA and win the World’s Heavyweight Championship so he and Cody can be the 2nd brother team to have won the title separately while also being a member of a family in which a father and two of his sons have won it. Dusty and Cody already have the distinction of being the only father and son duo to have won it.
I need Xavier Woods to win a world championship to become the second WWE trio to all win world titles.I also need Heath Slater to get filled to the brim with juice and go back to the fed and win a world title as well to complete the 3MB saga. Out of my three scenarios, which is the likeliest to happen?
Dustin/Goldust definitely deserved and deserves a World Title. Won't happen in AEW bc, AEW. But why not NWA? Or ¡MPACT?
@@AnthonyMackONEWoods probably has the better chance in these scenarios
You forgot Cristian's greatest achievement: Having a father
A father, something that Edge never met his. Maybe kayfabe E&C as brother is because Christian try to Cope for Edge for Edge missing met hid father.
His dads a ho
Stevie Ray out here catching stray bullets
I'll be honest, Punk and Cabana are about as Michaels Jannety as it gets
Jim Neidhart was worse in his singles attempt, than Marty Jannetty. I wonder why Jannetty became the standard for a failed singles career after a tag team break up.
The same could be said of many more individuals who failed at a singles career, who did worse, than Jannetty.@@urbaindelva7869
@@alanguagesI think it’s because the turn was so iconic. What you expect is something akin to The Shield, but in the end only one achieved true success.
Neidhart literally did not accomplish anything nor remembered in the singles division. When he came back, it was just as a lackey to either Owen or Bret. Unless, the Who jobber character was counted.
The Shield have main evented and become world champions each.@@SpaceViking2000
Love these videos and shout out to Adam for always doing these well
Dope Content As Always💯👍
Christian is so underrated not taking anything away from the Rated R superstar obviously he’s a legend but no one sees how good Christian is….
possibly the most underutilised star in the history of WWE
Beer Money Inc was my absolute favs.
Shawn Michaels and Marty Jan...lol can't say that with a straight face.
All the Adam gimmicks are so great. =)
Can't believe it wasn't a "cold, hard cash" joke during the beer money entry
i have a honorable mention and that's the Hollywood Blondes. in WCW, Brian Pillman and Steve Austin had a stint as tag team known as the Hollywood Blondes. however they were split up by WCW management though they each made a name for themselves during and after they left Atlanta, Pillman would be known for his unhinged gimmick which he perfected to a perfect degree that his fellow wrestlers actually thought he was insane as well as being a part of the reformed Hart Foundation as he's a family friend. Austin would find luck in ECW before jumping to WWE in 1995 first as The Ringmaster and then as Stone Cold Steve Austin who would be the face of the Attitude Era best known for his feud with Vince.
Interesting list.
That's one whole John Cena, haha, that got me
Even though he was not part of the actual count (but was featured on the preview), Mike Barton did not do half bad after splitting from The Smoking Gunns... the less said about his later WWF career the better, though.
Neither became world champs. And barely got solo success. Both were talented and had potential to succeed though.
Being in the Era w/ Trips, Stone Cold, Undertaker and Rock along w/ so many others, obviously it's hard to get some spotlight
Once I saw this video title I wondered what happened to split up teams like Kofi and Punk or Miz and Morrison. I guess some of them were because someone got injured or drafted separately?
I think it's more because those two teams were established individual stars before becoming a tag team, whereas the ones on this list were a tag team before becoming established solo stars
Thanks🎉
Sting used to be fucking ripped.
He was. Him and WARYA R.I.P. were outta control. Jeep Swenson was a beast too R.I.P.
Rip terry funk
Fun Fact for ya. Evil is Engaged to WWE star Io Shirai
Ugh! It should've been me, not him!
Good job, Evil
Yes The Hollywood Blondes. Devon and Bubba. Matt and Jeff. Motorcity Machine Guns. The Warlord and the Barbarian. Dynamite and Davey. Bret and Jim. Hogan and Savage. Savage and Warrior. And probably the biggest, Edge and Christian. The Brothers of Destruction. There's also many many more.
Let's not forget some from the past outside WWE. Antonio Inoki & Shohei Baba for example/
Devon wasn't thst successful. He mentioned the Hart's. Hogan and Savage don't count, same w bros of destruction
Matt Hardy y Christian Rules!
Got to admit, did not know about sting and ultimate warrior 🤯
How did you not put the MCMG on this list
I guess cause they never really officially broke up
Matt Hardys career is highly underrated
Yeah especially if you consider the ECW championship a world title (which is technically true but I don't think you'll ever see WWE quote Chavo Guerrero or Tommy Dreamer as a former world champion)
Speaking of which the Guerrero's are a much better example than Punk and Colt but I digress
Not in tna, he made tna relevant again after a fall in 2011
Still waiting for that main roster rivalry of Ciampa vs Gargano
I'm pretty sure everyone, including New Japan, just wants to forget that time New Japan panicked and briefly made Evil the leader of Bullet Club and also the world champion.
I think that was the first “list” video that ended with a conclusive statement and not (basically) in the middle of a sentence.
DIY will be fine on the main roster unless HHH brings back the big gold belt and/or Golddust…if that happens, Gargano may want to keep an eye on Ciampa…he tends to obsess over “Goldie”
Did you guys ever do a list or know of any tag partners that were “Marty Jannettyed” and came out the brighter star of the two after?
You forgot the all-time greatest tag team ever who both went on to have success
The long lived tag team of _Y2AJ;_ consisting of AJ Styles and Chris Jericho
You missed the concept of this video. They both were already famous. Aj was even way more popular than y2j prior y2aj. This video is about those who got famous AFTER splitting
sorry to ask this but why can't you say the full name for los ingobernables de japon is it copyright reasons
Go asked Mark Briscoe on how to pronounce LIJ correctly. He's really good at it.
I would have included Motor City Machine Guns.
The Hardyz and Dudleyz were great, but i always favored Edge and Christian
Idk who’s more unhinged between the Steiners after some gross outbursts by Rick unprovoked
Weird to think E&C = Shield = John Cena in world titles
No Motor City Machine Guns?
Do we not count The New Day?
they haven't split, so no.
1. Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins
2. Motor city Machine Guns
3. Miz & John Morrison
How you not mention Scott Steiner in TNA, he was gold there.
He had a 33 and a third chance of making the list.
@@OniNoSweeneyand that's before adding Angle
DIY, EDGE AND CHRISTIAN, THE HARDY BOYZ, TERRY AND DORY FUNK, BEER MONEY, AMW, THE STEINERS AND THE NEW AGE OUTLAWS.
Jeff hardy was also a one time wwe champion
Spirit Squad ) Dolph Ziggler was in that stable, he's released but he lasted longer than Kenny Dykstra he was apart of them to
Don't leave out Dolph Ziggler as Corwin White's caddy. So disrespectful
Motor City Machine Guns
Cabana is quite a stretch for "greatness"
Should be a boxer with the reach you have with half of these
Brothers of destruction, anyone?
What about the shield tgo ?
The Edgeheads
Did they have enough solo success to count?
Do a Top 10 Video where Both Tag Team Suck after they split.
Now we need 10 teams with only Martys
Jesse from Jesse and Festus
@@claymathewselevator8121 nah, Doc Gallows would not qualify as a Marty, methinks
christian should've spent more time in tna honestly
U missed the Shield 🛡️
Is it just me, or is Adam slowly morphing into Caddicarus?
KO and sami
Angle and Benoit.
And got to feud with Chucky
Despite the curse let's give a nod to the Von Erichs
4:00 I'm confused. Why is saying the full name of L.I.J bad?
because he's British and butchers the pronunciation of it
Imagine making a list of “greatness”and putting Cabana on it lol
Er, I don't think Colt Cobana matches up with how successful CM Punk's solo career was... NWA Heavyweight Champion or not, it's not the 50's-80's anymore
How about if Both are Jenneties after they split.
Marty Jannetty has left the chat … 😂
So let's get Wildcat, Storm, and Rude all together.
I always Lance Storm, James Storm, and Toni Storm to get together lol
@@artirony410 🤣🤣🤣
@@artirony410"Storm Shadow" faction LOL
Gotta pay Hasbro
It was no doubt who number 1 was
As someone who doesn't like Punk, saying anything about his AEW stint that isn't, the young asshole really started it all, and it was just an awkward situation. You CAN'T put that on Punk because it's literally reports about incidents, then superstars speaking out in support of him, him leaving the show they made for him, and the ratings dying more then they already were. Tony is just an AWFUL boss who couldn't check some nobodies, and then hung his HIGHEST performer out to dry cause he called him out for all their bad shit. Just like how their "safety committee" was people who have said in public they hated Punk. Plus Matt was on that panel and he LITERALLY can't even help himself or his brother from being a liability to people's lives.
1969 was a very nice year, but i prefer 196....….5, 5, 5 YEAH!
Most of these people aren't 2 Shawn Michael's. Half of these people aren't even one Shawn Michael's 😭😭
Brodie Lee and Erick Rowan
Not enough solo success. Part of one of my favorite factions ever though, The Wyatt Family. Rowan was probably on his way before "THE SPIDER".
R.I.P. Bray and Brodie
Shawn and H.
Jimmy Usos won't be a Marty jannetty!
I think assuming people are in this space, and they'll already know all about CM Punk, for example, is a miss that limits your ability to appeal to a broader audience
Harlem Heat are different because Stevie Ray retired after WCW
What abt sheild
Sabu and RVD
No Los Guerreros? Both Eddie & Chavo became world champions after thier split. Why arent the on here? No HHH & Shawn Michaels? Edge & Rey Mysterio? Jon Moxley & Sami Callahan? Motor City Machine Guns? Other tag teams that became world champions after breaking up.
Kane and undertaker
Unless both members have about the same career, there is always a Marty, and most teams on this list have gaps between their member's accomplishments.
The only exceptions to the "Marty rule" are when the tag team was relatively obscure (like the Blade Runners) or when the tag team was made up of two people who already had established singles careers (like the Bar).
Greatness is a bit of a stretch for a lot of these people.
So weird hardyz arent in top 3
ummm.... DX(HHH&HBK duo *not the stable)
The list is about greatness after the split. HBK was a star 10 years before DX.
"celebrated" isn't a good description for Colt
Adam Pacitti... NOT the Marty Jannetty of Cultaholic.
The Blade Runners won 18 world heavyweight championships. But what do I know...
