Other videos out there show the ball was almost to the rim with 0.5 seconds left, meaning it most definitely left his hands before zeroes hit. Swap the teams and there'd be cries of racism.
It was .5 seconds when he got the ball from down the court so he could've made it to the rim ! Manasquan didn't score not one point in the 4th quarter.

New Jersey High School Athletic officials still need to make a public statement and acknowledge that it a blantantly wrong call even though they have no power to reverse. Also remove all 3 officials from ever officiating at that level

I'm from Camden & those kids from Manaquan got ROBBED !!! It was a close call, but the ball left the kid's hand b4 zero. Besides it's 2024, why don't they have video replays doing PLAYOFF BASKETBALL in New Jersey. It doesn't make any sense. 😵💫🤪🤨
I would say it was a "Bad Call". The Ball is clearly in the net when the buzzer sounds. Probably should look at a few more calls in this game to see if it's a pattern.

In Ohio they use replay in regional and state games.Apparently New Jersey does not use replay because if they did this horrible outcome could have been corrected on the spot.
Colleen McGuire took replay out of the football playoffs a couple years ago after another controversial ending in the Clifton Elizabeth game. Why in this day and age we don’t use the technology available is absurd.

What really happened was there was 5.8 seconds left. The ball is inbound at 32 seconds of the video..at 38 seconds of the video the ball is still touching the shooters hand. Maybe the CLOCK and BUZZER OPERATOR gave them an extra second before starting the clock.. after all VIDEO EVIDENCE
Then the rest need to explain that. The state sports board agrees it's a bad call.

In high school sports, the wall clocks are almost never the same as the clock being used for the game. I encountered this while in high school many times but in wrestling. Even in football, many times the official field display clock was many times several seconds off from the real clock. This was close but I'm hoping they can give a better explanation for the decision.

hate to do it, but if it's the other way around race would be the number 1 talking point. so I'll do it. race 100% played a role in that decision. while Manasquan was celebrating you can see several black men in the 3 refs ears while they are huddled up. I can guarantee they were yelling that was after the buzzer, thats bullshit, you can't do that to our boys blah blah blah. and the 2 black refs clearly had a bias in making such a blatantly wrong call. if we acted like they do there would be an angry mob at those refs houses right now.

You just need to watch the video. After the free throw I stopped the video when the inbound pass touched the player. The time was 32 sec. the game would be over at 37 seconds. I stopped the video again when the sooter first shot hit the rim. The time was 36 seconds. I stopped the video again when the rebound touched the second shoots hands. The time was 37 seconds. Game over. Sorry

You can't base that off of the CZcams video - it doesn't drill down to tenths of seconds. Watch the other videos out there. The ball was almost at the rim with 0.5 left on the game clock. It wasn't even close.
