The "center" official called it a good basket...It was his primary responsibility because the shot came from his side of the court...The refs should have ran off the court IMMEDIATELY and not subjected themselves to being jostled by the fans....The shot attempt was a good one as the ball was definitely out of the player's hand with approximately .5 second left. The overturning of the call was absolutely outrageous....Those kids got cheated...
Wasn't even the fans. It seems like they were "influenced" by the coaches who reminded them of how much money the refs would owe their bookies if the call wasn't changed.

I remember a state final where a shot that was way after the buzzer - and I mean a fulll second after the buzzer - was allowed. They called it good while the “winners” were celebrating their championship. Worst call I have ever seen. This was horrible, too. Camden should volunteer to reverse that call (and result, of course). Make things right.

I feel like the Ref was on the take the one Ref called it a basket clearly in the middle of the scene you can see it and then they reverse that. How can you do that? I have been officiating 16years and worked two state championships in Illinois. That is the worst call on a last second shot in H.S I have seen.

The kid who took the 1st shot actually Traveled but one the Ref's blew that call, being that the game was in Camden the Ref knew the Camden crowd would go crazy about the walk call that was missed, which is why you got the outcome after the game.
Ok people something really strange . Take a look at the sideline ref raise his arm for a 3 point basket when missed and other ball goes in then runs to top of key and signals basket counts. This needs to be reverse they deserve the win.

The Manasquan players will learn a hard lesson that they should not have to learn.
Unfortunately HS basketball doesn't have multiple camera's and clocks like college and the pro's for an instant replay, they rely solely on what the ref's see in real time. They could mount camera's and clocks on each basket going forward and prevent this sort of thing.

There's fair, and there's right and wrong. This is WRONG, as they stated in their ignorant ruling. And just because it's happened before doesn't mean it should just be accepted - and here is video evidence
The fact that it has happened before and is still happening makes it even worse.
I felt that since the referee walked off the court and with time still on the clock that game was stolen from Manasquan basketball team they should be going to the state semifinals the second referee confirm that the basket counted. NJSIAA needs to correct what was stolen from the Manasquan Boys Basketball team. It is not there fault that the Referees walked off the floor with time still on the clock let the real winners go.

The taxpayers of New Jersey recently built Camden High School a new building for $242 million. Since then Camden has been shipping "students" in from across the country to play basketball. There was a controversy a few years ago regarding many of these "students" and the payments of their out of state tuition. Now this. Sometimes cliches fit; follow the money. Many of NJ public schools are no longer a "common good" but have become a retail racket instead.
