  • In this video, I go over 4 easy and inexpensive to make tools that can make wheel building a more efficient process. All the tools listed here are available commercially if you're not interested in making them, but either way, once you've used them, they're indispensable.

Thanks for this video! ***I have 2 really nice Raleigh 21speeds to respoke. Seems the beach weather and spokes don't like each other.
---> I like your time saving custom jigs and tools. I was hoping to see a home made jig to hold the wheel and align the rim. I'll be attempting to build one to hold the wheel and align the rim like your metal jig does.

Holy smokes dude you just saved me money. I very much appreciate this video. I subscribed because of one of your other vids.
What about a homemade dishing gauge? I think I will make one out of some 1x6 ash that I have.

Thanks, your auto focus is wonky, maybe use a higher fstop lens setting for greater depth of field. Your videos are some of the best.

Thanks! Yeah, my camera is starting to get dated. Hopefully I'll get a new one at some point. Thanks for your feedback, I really appreciate it!

Great idea. I have a 1×8 drive train and in the 3 highest gears the chain slips off the rear cogs when i get off the saddle and really crank on them. Any ideas? Its hard for me to tell whats causing this.

My first thought would be worn out cassette and/or chain.

It's a sunrace 11 to 40 that's only got 300 miles on it. Chain as well. Maybe the derailleur cage is tweaked and it misallignes on the small cogs? It's a very old xtr.

Yeah, I made some extra to bond a couple other item while I was at it. Definitely looks like a lot for just a couple spoke nipples lol!!
