  • Insetting provides a way for land-dependent companies to take effective action against climate change and nature loss at the center of their value chains - in their sourcing areas. This promising concept is gaining traction and is becoming a mainstream climate strategy for companies to achieve SBTs, Net Zero and other sustainability targets. However, introducing and scaling insetting inside a company is a major endeavor and one in which not enough insights have been shared to date.
In order to change that, we have invited Sandra Brandt, Director at the International Platform for Insetting (IPI), to our CHOICE Event #41. She will introduce the concept and practice of insetting, while Lara Obst, Co-Founder of The Climate Choice, will provide practical insight into how companies can achieve the climate transparency needed for this along the entire supply chain.
The following questions will be central:
-What is insetting and how do we define it?
-How is it being implemented by different industries?
    -Why is insetting gaining momentum?
-What role does transparency in the supply chain play for this?
-How can transparency be achieved using the practical example of climate data?
    Our experts:
Sandra Brandt is Director at the International Platform for Insetting, a diverse community of practice including Accor, Chanel, H&M, Kering and Nestlé Nespresso.
Lara Obst is Co-Founder and Chief Climate Officer of THE CLIMATE CHOICE, the leading climate rating platform for companies and their supply chains.
