I used to love watching the ads for the hecto laser tv back in the day but everything now is far better like the new hisense 4K laser tv

hi munir karim i am interested in it now it is 2018 i want a huge screen for computer lab and the room is extra bright (like setting in full sun) please help me is there any alternative? also if the price is down then i would go for tht thing.

LG You're doing a GOOD THING keeping DLP alive in the home. Mitsubishi really screwed up there... I know these screens are pricy, I probably can't get one until the price drops.. but mark my words, I WILL have one... it's a promise ;) umm.. just hope they can ship to the USA...

I heard the projector can be ceiling mounted. Under-screen positioning is not feasible for me since placement for me would be on a wall over a fireplace. Does anyone know how it can be ceiling mounted? Would you mount the unit upside down and project downward from the ceiling with ability to flip the image? Would the same 22" distance away from screen apply? What about distance between top of screen and projector?
I have an 8 foot ceiling and the top of the fireplace opening is only about 2 1/2 feet from the ground, so plenty of area for the screen, just concerned about how high I'd have to position the screen.

I just had a look at one of these at harvey norman very nice looking screen and picture quality. I would wait till it drops in price first before buying one and perfect for home theatre...

i hope they bring out a 120 and 150 inch version of this screen. it would really be awesome...
thomas tsaousis I think the 100 in size is good, of course if you want a movie theatre in your home bigger will be better, but I think 1080p resolution is on its way out, they should have made this 4K instead.
i have a 85 inch screen at home with a 1080p resolution projector and it's just perfect and a larger screen would benefit even more. 4k is needed with screens over 120 inches up to 300 inches in size.

I bought a similar projector from a company called hisense. Honestly its not bad, definitely not the same as a tv, the colors still get washed out if there is too much light

1080p? Not 4K? haha. Also price tag is utterly silly considering the mediocre spec. Not to mention, 100 inches is simply not a practical dimension for most households.
