No BS video. THANK YOU! Before i recently retired, i use to run 4 rollomatic CNC grinders that made surgical drill bits, and we used the diamond wheels similar to these you are using. We did our own resharp`s in house on the wheels. These wheels last a very long time, IF, used properly. They WILL burn the metal you are grinding, IF you grind down into them hard.
Adjust the center screw in so you do not have to hold the cam lock handle to sharpen. Anti- seize the inside of camlock. A new 6 coil spring will let the grinder motor mount stand all the way up.
It says “Diamond” on the wheel. I bought one that was labeled as a diamond wheel just for touching up my carbide chain every so often to keep it maintained. It’s slightly different looking to yours but i guess I’ll find out when I try to sharpen my chain.
Can you comment on the wheel size, the newer Oregon literature states (I got a 520 grinder) that 3/16 is to be used for 325 chains but I've see many references that 1/8 should be used...
Use 3/16 on 3\8 chain use the 1\8 on 1\4 chain . get it right this ain rocket science read the instructions and use a little common sense . people scream this up all the time and take off way to much material when sharpen and they will come down on a tooth 15 times that's not needed two or 3 at the most is all you need if you got the grinder set right
@@Broddi169 meant the wheel. But yes; the grinder is probably made by the folks that make the Oregon etc… just not paying for the branding…. Doesn’t look like the CBN leaves that burr on the cutter?

It's worth the price to me. Should save tons of time playing with different angles and really fun with a nice wheel like this.
I really like my cbn wheel. Didnt like the price when I bought it but I think it ended up being worth it.

CBN isn't diamond. Carbide does take a special wheel.

You could use either

Oregon has a way better "pink" wheels than the stock chinese for this kind of grinder. I use the same grinder, it looks like yours.
CBN wheel is still better

@@--riddle-- I have a pretty good pink wheel on my hf grinder. It won't burn chains. The one on the ft was horrible.

Ahh sorry. Yes the chn wheel stays cooler and doesn't fry teeth. Worth the money and retains it's shape better.
