There are civil servants dragging their feet when it comes to enforcing even EU law. Freedom of movement isn't an absolute right. A person from another EU state can be refused residence if they arrive here and cannot support themselves. That's how the rest of the EU does it.

Lies, lies, lies. We can not house the world. Five out of 7 of my highly educated children have emigrated (mechanic, Dr. Nurse, Engineer and a Teacher). Wages rates have dropped dramatically in Ireland. The Irish are becoming miserable, no rented accommodation available, means tested for everything. There was no rental accommodation in Dublin and my son had to travel for 2 hours to Dublin and back after a 12 hour shift in a hospital. He also spent a lot of his day translating for both patient and medical staff. No CEFR (English standard) for people entering the country. My concern is illegal immigration and the issuing of work permits for low paid jobs. Most companies have bought houses to house immigrants and do not want to employ Irish people. Two children left in education. Nothing free keep working. My children knows they are not wanted in this country.

They probably get favorable tax breaks owning housing stock....these companies
Why are they skipping so many safe countires to get here! Oh yeah because we have much much much more attractive benefits than the rest of Europe. They are not coming for our weather. Stop the fing benefits.

The so-called 'deportees' deport themselves and not our government. When in court these an order is given by the judge ordering these people to leave the country. They then leave the court and it's up to themselves to depart from the Ireland. They are not escorted etc. by Gardaí or gov. officials.
