- Prague is known as the golden city. Christmas time is the perfect time for tourist.
Klára Vavříková lives in the centre of Prague with her young family. Nearby, the famous Charles Bridge stands tall over the Vlatva River and ancient Gothic spires loom over the Castle District Hradčany, looking out over the stunning city. Prague is a tourist magnet and well known for its hearty cuisine, such as the local dumplings and Prague ham. During Advent, Prague’s colours glow a little brighter and the food smells become even more enticing as the Vavříková family prepares for Christmas.
What's cookin' is about traditional culinary recipes from different European regions.

I love Holiday Seasons!
I love this city!!!!!! my son and his wife live there. He works on the Charles Bridge. I visited and can't wait to go back. It captured my heart!.
Clara''s wreaths are absolutely phenomenal 💗👍🌲
This was the cutest show. I liked the young family, the little girl is especially darling!!
Beautiful country..beautiful people...beautiful family....bless up...and keep PUNKING.....😘😘😘👏👏👏
As an American with Czech family I can say all this food looks so delicious!
i love this city so much. i made the best decision ever when I moved here. Incredible feeling.
I can't believe the translations I am reading! Hah especially when the grandmother cooks. Haha they made the whole new story :D
This show is better than most of the stuff on tv. You guys are awesome. Thank you for all the hard work and wonderful story telling!
this show is soooo good! better than shit on regular tv!
Thanks!
I agree
Really love these windows into another way of life!
Lot of bugs in translation. We don't use oregano but marjoram (Kuba recipe). Czech classics are usually spiced with simple mix of caraway, marjoram and garlic. I'm also quite sure that she used parsley root instead of parsnip in Christmas potato salad.
Lukas Dvorak Well that’s annoying. Anyplace I can find authentic Czech recipes in English? I wanna see if I can try making any of these dishes at home.
Oh no! Not you as well with the Caraway! I was really looking forward to gluttony in Czechia one day.
Conservative and modern family life .. with beautiful kids .. side by side in one frame, harmonious. Lovely life.
Finally! A new video in english subs!
Prague is the most beautiful city that I have ever been to. Hope to go back soon.
You havent been in many?? To be overcharged???
Thanks!
I enjoyed that thanks.
Some small mistakes in subtitles (translation from czech) but this I realy like this :) I'm from Czech Rep. and Christmas in Czech Rep. is best all around the world for me :)
I would love to have a Christmas wreath from Prauge
Very nice show and beautiful family
by what standard?
Yummy
Čechy krásné čechy mééé
Did I convert this correctly? 350 kroner is about 15 USD. Her wreaths are gorgeous! Buy two! Give one to a friend or hostess - keep one yourself!
They said Santa in the subtitles instead of baby Jesus
Why not wash the fish after cutting, still covered in blood
There is an error in the subtitles at the timecode 5:59. She says that it will be used to bolster spruce wreath(s), not pine.
She actually said it would be used for fir wreaths.
I hope this young Lady has been able to open her own florist Shop I understand that dream very well I ran my own Florist for almost 40 years and even after retirement I still do designs on a small scale for clients still but that husband is to old to be still playing in a rock band man you got a wife and kids grow up
Glenda Fulton Amen to that! He needs to grow up.
I cant count how many times I have kept fish in the bathtub.
I have not heard of that before
Hopefully she ends up owning a florist shop!her husband's music is not to my liking!but everyone has different opinions.

More about food and less other stuff, please.
Trdenik is no tradition, I am Czech. I have never eaten it. It appeaared 10 years ago for tourists.otherwise the docunets is very nice,
Ahoj
exactly.. it suddenly appeared out of nowhere several years ago and even now it feels like an overpriced tourist scam to me
You have noticed Moravia is part of Czech Rep. too, it's not just Bohemia, right? They are preparing Trdelník in Moravia for centuries.
It’s originally from the Transylvania, the Kingdom of Hungary and is called “kürtőskalács”.
Their Christmas is so intimate which i like, but their foods are like...boring. Not the Christmas foods that i would want to be craving for.
Cinnamon, from the subcontinent...OMG that cuisine appropriation!
Trdelnik is NOT CZECH!!! Ick!
Czech has different price for forigners and locals, i find unacceptable!!!!Keep your Prague for yourself...!!!There is so many beutifull cities with fair prices for everyone...Greed is just horrible!!!!
Looks like a nice city, but these people are wild, piercings, wild looks etc. I guess they're punks. Love the show though!
