  • Prague is known as the golden city. Christmas time is the perfect time for tourist.
Klára Vavříková lives in the centre of Prague with her young family. Nearby, the famous Charles Bridge stands tall over the Vlatva River and ancient Gothic spires loom over the Castle District Hradčany, looking out over the stunning city. Prague is a tourist magnet and well known for its hearty cuisine, such as the local dumplings and Prague ham. During Advent, Prague’s colours glow a little brighter and the food smells become even more enticing as the Vavříková family prepares for Christmas.
What's cookin' is about traditional culinary recipes from different European regions.

Lot of bugs in translation. We don't use oregano but marjoram (Kuba recipe). Czech classics are usually spiced with simple mix of caraway, marjoram and garlic. I'm also quite sure that she used parsley root instead of parsnip in Christmas potato salad.

Lukas Dvorak Well that’s annoying. Anyplace I can find authentic Czech recipes in English? I wanna see if I can try making any of these dishes at home.
