In other to truly reinvent ourselves as a people, i have no other way of saying this but blood unfortunately will be shared. There are so many wicked old people in high places who believes they own Ghana and have hauled many positions to themselves and conveniently release to closer people of interest. Again the whole constitution will have to heavily modded to fit in or reduce many old age requirements with youthful assisted requirements. Pensioners retire at 60 but same pensioner can become a President? The Pensioner was given a break because we feel He/She is not as agile as they used to be but stands a chance to carry the whole worries of an entire nation? Not to even speak of countless business trips, projects etc in honor of the nation which requires much energy than the pensioner could afford, its why the current president many at times is seen sleeping and tired. Today, the entry requirements in order to attain position in our governing body never even focuses on the educational background of the said aspirant but rather on Money( look at a person like Wontumi, smh). Very relevant government positions are given to people with close to no experience in the allocated position yet we need good results? Ghana is a crime scene as i have already said, and this is as a result of countless passive years of overlooking many scandalous acts which can't be corrected modestly with talks, its sad but its true. Late Father Jerry saw this nuisance in us as a people and halted a stop to it with his military but honest superiority complex giving the death penalty to whom ever it deserved with no fear or remorse and its why Ghana, after he releasing power to a more democratic atmosphere, has enjoyed that status of one of the peaceful nations in Africa.
Ghana has surpass Nigeria for corruption in Africa. Let's stop tagging Nigeria as being corrupt. To think he's a Reverend is very shameful to the church.
The contention is not that, he’s resourceful or not. The thing is as regulations mandate, once you pass 60, you will need a contract to continue working as a public servant. This question is very relevant. You cannot skip the same regulations and just posit, aahh he’s much skilled. I totally agree with Honorable Sam George ,the old should go to allow the youth to take over ,but my advice to to youth is to try to justify why they should be given posiof such nature .Again the youth should try to avoid all corruption practices that can dent their credibility of holding high positions.
