Synopsis:A robot who is responsible for cleaning a waste-covered Earth meets another robot and falls in love with her. Together, they set out on a journey that will alter the fate of mankind.
Didn't expect this one to be as beautiful as it was! What did you think of Wall-E?
Full length reactions: www.patreon.com/SebScreen
It's still by far my favorite animated movie :)
I think you should watch ratatouille next
Bro, no way this was your first time watching Wall-E. These are childhood memories.
Where have you been? I'm probably about the same age as you.
Check Wall-e short: Burn-e, it's another nice chcarcter after mo
You’ve got to watch Moana, it’s really good and gives off strong Encanto vibes
its crazy how good this movie still looks all these years later
TRUEEE i rewatched it 10 times the last month, its literally my fav pixar movie
Genuine masterpiece
Absolutely.
@@ilyywinter its my favorite pixar movie too and i've rewatched it countless times!!
I remember watching it in the theatre as a kid and thinking the first half back on earth looked absolutely real. The detail in the textures and the lighting is absolutely stunning. Pixar peaked back then (although they’re still pushing animation boundaries with each new release)
"Its just such a simple story, executed with pure precision and creative excellence" is now my mantra for ideal storytelling
Toy Story is better
@@dkijmdude408toy story was amazing, wall e was a masterpiece
@@Mr.EkkFan Toy Story is better than Wall-E ever was so get over it.
@@dkijmdude408False.
@@dkijmdude408toy story silly kids movie. Wall-e is an artistic masterpiece for anyone.
My husband is a literature professor and he uses Wall-E whenever he teaches origin stories and fertility myths-it’s such a flawless example of learning how to human.
Oh please say more 😮
Oooh
Fertility myths?
please elaborate i wnana know
Tell me more.
fun fact, in the scrypt when EVE finally says Wall-E's name it says "Wall-E nearly melts, she says his name so beautifully" And that makes me fuckin cry every time.
Awwwwwww
Aww that's so cute
Less than 3 mins into this reaction and I’m already crying
This movie will forever break my heart and yet it’s one of my faves
I will never forget the day I first rented this DVD. My favourite video girl at my fave video store was helping me select a movie. She mentioned Wall•E in passing, and I said I hadn't yet watched it. She looked at me, stunned, and said "What???". Then she grabbed the DVD and said "This is what you're renting tonight. No argument." I thanked her the next day.
Please tell me you ended up with her.
DVD renting stores damn I miss them so much
Blockbusters 😢
@@Unit346 Oh lord no, I'm gay so that would not be in the cards. But if I was straight I would be honoured. She's awesome and cool and has phenomenal taste in movies. That store closed years ago, but we're still in touch through Facebook.
@@torontomame hey fair enough lol.
If you notice the years on the portraits of the Captains, you can see that their lifespans are longer and longer. Plus, you can see the Autopilot get closer and closer in each portrait, staring menancingly over their shoulders. 👀
Scariest Pixar movie to date.
I watched this by myself yesterday and I realized that when EVE went dark after getting the plant, WALL-E put her in the sun because he thought she needed solar energy like him!
He already lost a friend to low battery in the comic, which is sad
The first 20 mins of Wall-e is cinematic perfection. 👌🏼
It is indeed.
This movie is a 10/10 for me. The last half is a 9/10 but the first half is an 11/10
Fun fact: John Ratzenberger has been in every Pixar movie, but this was the first one where his character was named John. He's known for his role as Cliff Clavin on Cheers, but his best-known Pixar role is Hamm (the piggy bank) in the Toys series, or The Underminer in both Incredibles movies.
I had no idea cool
I remember in one of the Cars movies they actually made this joke about John Ratzenberger in the after credits. I thought it was hilarious when they did that!
Yep. He is a resident Disney Actor along with Wallace Shawn (Rex from Toy Story). Not a proper Disney movie without both of them.
"it's your buddy john" could also be directed at the viewers then like "hey it's me again" LOL
Omg it’s clifffffff!!!! Oh yeah! Awesome!
This was the pinnacle of the golden years of Pixar where the movies weren't just good for an animated movie - they were instant classics.. The Incredibles (2004), Ratatouille (2007) and Wall-E (2008).
The relationship between Wall-E and Eve is absolutely beautiful, I love this film so much
Couldn’t agree more, it is one of the very few relationships that feels real, genuine, and not even rushed at all. Some feel a bit forced, but theirs was evenly paced from beginning to end.
This movie is so good in non verbal story telling ... a lot of movie makers could take lessons from it.
Great reaction, glad you chose to watch it.
Toy Story better
One thing when walle is injured and he says earth, eve is saying her new directive is him, but he still wants to uphold her directive. He tried to remind her of earth and then moves his eye like he did at the start after fixing his eye basically reminding her that's where his spare parts are so they need to get there to fix him, at least that's how I interpret it
Wall-e has to be one of my favourite Pixar films! So glad to see you reaction to this!!
No
Toy Story is better
You know that movie that Wall-E was watching is an actual real life musical called "Hello Dolly" and its a really good movie, I definitely suggest watching it.
I used to work on cruise ships in the kids club. This was one of my favorite movies to show because of how little dialogue there actually is. Kids can follow the movie even if they don't speak any English.
Loved the reaction :)
5:25 if you put captions on Eve actually says "Who are you?"
That typing robot is named "Type" and its really wholesome Wall-e showing Type how to wave hello/goodbye because Type never knew he could do that.
The captain portrait if you watch carefully, Auto gets closer to the center which forshadows the order Auto recieves which to control everything on the axiom.
When Eve screams "Earth!" She realizes that Wall-E can be repaired when they get home because hes the only one of his kind.
That tune the robot was beeping was the hello dolly song Wall-e was playing which is why the reject bots all followed him, they remember the song.
At the ending; Wall-e's memory WAS reset but Eve's spark/kiss gives his memories back.
Also if you listen VERY closely during the kiss part, Eve actually hums the song for holding hands before she sparks Wall-E.
I'm a person that struggles with obesity and this movie just made me think this is how people see me!! I'm still pretty active for a big guy but I still see myself in the Axiom characters. When I first saw them I teared up thinking that I was going to get there but I'm working on it!! Wall-E remains underrated and it's a crime!!
You've got this!
This film seems to split people when it gets to the human part. Glad to hear you saw it as a "tough love", "encouragement to better yourself" kind of message, rather than a cynical "fat people are dumb" kind. It's all about perspective and appreciating it for its ultimately optimistic overall outcome. Good luck on your journey my dude.
@@MarkHWillson I think the movie ultimately treats its human characters rather optimistically. As soon as they get knocked out of their bubble (quite literally) for once, they realize they have got to fix it and they overcome their shortcomings pretty well to work alongside the robots. In the end the idea is that people are a result of the environment they’re raised into but they aren’t inherently stupid or ignorant. It’s quite the opposite, they are curious, passionate and adventurous when shown their potential.
@@rainclouds3677 Thank you! So late but I really appreciate the encouragement!
@@MarkHWillson I had no idea people reacted to Axiom characters that way! The way we are with our phones these days, it's almost the same thing! Also if people pay attention to the end credits, they would see the Axiom residents adapted back to living on earth!
The actual science fiction throughout this film is often overlooked. It's full of excellent concepts that are already looking prophetic.
This is legit one of my favourite films ever. The way they managed to portray so much emotion with just music and images and with so little dialogue is amazing.
That was the Mac startup sound because at the time Steve Jobs had started Pixar after leaving Apple.
Oh it's the mac sound ok thought it was PS2 it sounded similar
This has been one of my favorite Pixar films and it's great that there's not much dialogue especially with the robots but you can still understand the story...
I don't know if you did, but watch the credits at the end. It shows how they were re introduce into life on Earth again in a very beautiful way: it's like the history of humanity with history of art. This is such a beautiful and brilliant movie but scary at the same time.
Fun fact: Sigourney Weaver(Alien’s Ripley) is the voice of the Axiom’s ship computer.
Little fun fact about the song in the credits:
That was actually supposed to be performed at the Oscars, but when Peter found out it wasn't going to be the full song, he turned it down.
Eve figured out that they had to go back to Earth because that was where Wall-E kept his spare parts.
Jeff Garlin from the Goldbergs played the Captain and Sigourney Weaver was the ship's computer.
For the AUTO Pilot, they actually used the old Mac Text to Speech program, aka. MacInTalk.
This movie has such a simple purity to it that makes it such a delight to watch. Glad you got around to seeing it Seb. :)
It’s also pretty cool that the voice of the Axium Computer ie. “Time for lunch, in a Cup” was voiced throughout by Sigourney Weaver.
That's Sigourney? Oh man how did I not see that in the credits?
Seb, been following you for while, you are amazing. Great choice. Stay safe and stay awesome. Lots of love and all that jazz
two robots making you feel all kinds of emotions
This movie somehow became my christmas movie - it just always came from tv at that time, and the feels seem to hit harder on each watch
So glad you’re watching this!!!
I remember watching this in theaters alone and i was positively beside myself after it was over. The older music is from a movie called Hello, Dolly! And I was so surprised to see it have such a whole thing with Wall E throughout the movie.
Eves motivation to go back to earth was to save Wall-E, for she knew he had tons of spare parts in his shelter.
Wall-E is so much fun. I loved it so much. Made me cry when I was a kid haha.
This movie "makes me feel certain things I can't out into words as some of these shots do". Perfectly put man. This is my favorite animated movie ever, for reasons and emotions I just can't express with words lol. I genuinely have NO idea why or how,but this movie, seemingly being a regular kid's animated movie, makes me feel THAT certain thing I never feel with any other movie. The story of poluted earth, along with imaginative technology, amazing🤗😎👍💙
LOOOOVE this movie!!! So damn underrated!!!
Literally one of the most praised Pixar movie wdym??!

03:05 that was actually the Mac startup sound, not Windows lol. Pixar and Apple have quite the relationship.
Fun fact: The sound designer for this movie is Ben Burt, the sound designer of Star Wars.
Whoooo yeah baby that’s what I’ve been waiting for
1:06 ...."It's like Cl4ptr4p"..... Wall-E is the son that Cl4ptr4p and Johnny 5 allways wanted.....
Watching you laugh this hard was beautiful. I'm so glad you enjoyed it as much as I did. It really is a masterpiece.
For October (SebScream): "The Fly" (1986)...... One of the best horror movie of all times, and one of the few movies where Jeff Goldblum doesn't play himself.....
Probably my favorite Pixar movie. Won the Los Angeles Film Critics Best Picture award for 2008 .
The ship's computer voice is by Sigourney Weaver from Alien
What are the chances I'm watching the same thing 😂 😂😂
Great video! I still can't understand how you could have missed such iconic movies as Wall-E, Transformers etc. xD Without it, my childhood wouldn't be complete xD xD
"Hahaha, Windows."
Hahaha indeed, Seb. 😂
4:44 yeah i agree its kinda artful, act 1 of this movie is really something else
Man, I completely forgot the sad part and the relationship they had on this movie. And rewatching it years later has probably made it to my top 10 favorite movies.
The movie Walle was watching and recorded songs from is a real movie called Hello Dolly.
Hacksaw ridge is a movie I would recommend if you haven’t watched yet great story and action
It's a shame you didn't watch the credits. It shows what the humans/robots did after landing. Farming, reintroducing society, etc etc
Did love the reaction though, so subbed.
I love that you’re watching this. Genuinely one of the most underrated Pixar films.
How is it underrated though? Why do people say this crap? It's one of the most honored and successful animated movies ever made. Not only did it win an Oscar, it's preserved in the National Registry, something few films achieve. Underrated?
Not really underrated, it definitely gets the praise it deserves
3:06 That's the startup sound from the first Apple computer 😬
The hold Wall-E had on me - I love that little guy 🥰
Omg same! I seriously want to hug that little dude!
This is like one of my favorites if not favorite movie ever. I love your vids i have been nonstop watching them since i found your channel.
P.S you should watch Rango it's really fun
Every captain was in position around 130 years.
Here's the thing: Auto is not a villain in the traditional sense. He's just following his directive, which is don't go back to earth under any circumstance.
22:50 idk ago but I laughed forever about this. "Manuel" 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
There's a reason this movie was so prescient about people going around with their faces buried in computer screens. At the time that it was being made, Steve Jobs was on the Pixar board, and of course, he had an iPhone before anyone else did, and he loved showing it off. When the director, Andrew Stanton saw it, he knew what it would lead to, and he decided to incorporate that into his vision of the future.
Well, he wasn´t wrong.
3:03 Seb that's an apple startup sound.
Two things:. There is a short that was added to the DVD called Burn-E -- about the welder robot that is locked out of the Axiom when Eve and Wall-E arrive that is terrific. two:. When subtitles were added to the DVD, every time Wall-E says Eve's name, it is written as "Eve" - I hated that because he NEVER says "Eve"...he says "EVE-Ahhh"....It is part of his character and endearing....A terrific achievement in animation...
Disney film.
Wall-E is brought back by true love's kiss.
The musical Wall-E models love after is from "Hello Dolly" 1969.
The singer is a young skinny kid named Michael Crawford. Decades later, he played the title role on Broadway of "The Phantom of the Opera".
Yes
You gotta react to the short BURN-E, it's about that Red & White Robot working outside the Axiom and it's worse for him than it looks in the movie.
Man I love Fallout. The wasteland is so chaotic but beautiful. When I first played Fallout it reminded me of Wall-E.
"We are not crying in the first 10 minutes"
*UP has entered the chat*
16:22”halt”got me rolling💀💀
Re: food and shelter, the Axiom is right there with the same food factories it always had, they probably kept living on it like they did when they were in space while they got set up.
Lol! You comparing Wall-E to CL4P-TP at the beginning made my day!
You have to watch "Film Theory: Wall-E's Unseen CANNIBALISM!" and "Film Theory: Wall-E's Secret Cannibalism... More Juicy Proof!" - you will never see WALL-E the same... 😜
There are so many references to other films - especially "2001".
It was amazing how much emotion that simple robot was able to convey.
been a fan since the beginning of your MCU reactions, keep up the
great work Seb.
Seb there's is a Disney Short caller Bern-E or something to that effect you should watch on your own time, it's about a little robot trying to repair something on the Axiom and it's fucking hysterical
Wall-e in 2008 really predicted how League of Legends players were gonna be like huh
this has been one of my favorite movies since...um...as long as I have existed
I know what it's like to have been forgotten by someone you love... I was Wall-E... I lived with my girlfriend who changed over the years and I was alone. Waiting for the woman I loved to come back. Waiting for her to remember who she was when she loved me.. I could have left at any time.. Given up and gone home.. But I stayed. Every day I would tell her that I loved her. Every day, I looked after her and the house, her car, and the pets. I kept hoping that the good person she was would come back. I would see her from time to time. Peeking though the person she became. She was still in there.... -- She died in my arms of cancer this June.. I'd taken her to the hospital and I was there every day with her.. In the end, I got the "Quantum Leap" ending... -- I spent years holding my own hands like Wall-E and praying that things would change. Sometimes, there are no happy endings. Or redemption. (addendum :. "Quantum Leap" was a TV show from the 90s in which Dr. Beckett would leap from person to person, year to year, and put the wrong things right. The last episode, ends on a black screen with the words, "Dr. Sam Beckett never returned." --- Fans were in an uproar because all those seasons of waiting to see if he gets home, and we felt like we got gypped. --- It's only when you look back at it as an older person that you realize he made the right choice. That the hero's job, is never really done.) -- In my relationship, I felt cheated. That had there been more time, maybe the good person she was would have come back. In the last six months, I lost her, the house, I had to give our pets to the shelter... And now I'm truly alone. Just me and the ghosts. The memories of the happy and the sad. And I will always be haunted by the last image in my head of her laying in a very quiet room turning blue and cold in the dim light.. No matter how long we had, it wasn't long enough. And those last months flew through me like angry birds with razors..
Favorite movie as a kid and still one of the favs. Such a sweet movie
It was mine too, I even had remote control wall-e toy
My favorite Pixar movie for all the reasons you described.
11:27 Seb’s horror reaction is PRICELESS.
The reality of humans on the Axium… evolving over centuries into floundering flubber… because modern conveniences removed ALL requirements for physical effort…
It now hits TOO CLOSE to our reality today. 😱
Seb: DON’T train them young!!!
NO!!! DON’T buy MacDonald’s!!!!
spirit the stallion of the cimarron is another one with minimal dialogue that still tells a great story
It's almost worth it to simply watch the closing credits, as they progress through most of the significant art styles throughout history.
Way back when Disney Pixar still care about the quality of diverse message in storytelling.
Masterpiece.
I think the 2000s is Pixar's golden age, their 3D animation has smoothened by that time & they're not making unnecessary sequels.
i had actually wanted a sequel to this movie once before. but then i noticed the end credits had a little storyline of life after the axiom returned to earth. hope you saw that.
I didn't even have to see the whole film and its brought me to tears every single time I've seen it... that ending gets me every time
me after seeing his title and thumbnail be like - is he came from mars i mean how can he miss this many movies 🤣🤣
3:03 nah bro that's the sound of a Mac turning on
gotta love this guy
one of my faves of all time. alway get the feels. even in your short clips i felt how i felt every time
Classification is by size:
Waste Allocation Load Lifter-Earth
Waste Allocation Load Lifter-Axiom
24:34 ah yes, the good ol'days
Fun fact: the voice behind the "food in a cup" is Sigourney Weaver
Eve and Wall-E are my sister’s favorite characters and she even named her dog after Eve but named her Eva like how Wall-E says her name 😂🩷
This is probably my favourite Pixar Film along side the Cars and Toy Story films also Brave they are all really good to me anyway
WallE 2 Revenge of the Autobot being in development was heard several years ago and later we learned the project was canceled by Pixar’s studio. If WallE 2 would be rescued by another producer, we are sure the 1st film’s plot would have been told differently and the movie would be released next year in 2023
You sure you just found a page of the Wikia made for fan-made ideas of movies? Because that sounds fanfiction-ey.
I love Wall-E so much haven’t seen it in ages it was always my childhood
"Life will never be worse than when it's extremely easy"
It's the golden line that everyone of this super technology people could think about it more cause it's just facts. technology and scientists are there to make the life easier it's cool intention but not good if you philosophies about it hard times makes strong people and not vice versa. Hard is good to grow when you have the right mindset.
Also He is just me.. as i watched the film again when I was a little older than 9 or 10 This music remembers me so hard at the legendary Fallout songs and the good old wasteland! Definitely a film in my heart with good life facts and this humanity it's just so funny and also deep a good message they even didn't know they had a pool... Just perfect
