    Love NOLA and especially the Garden District. Such beautiful homes and trees. When I took my husband a few years ago we stayed on St Charles, the trolly stop was right outside the hotel.

    Watching from New Orleans, Garden District, Louisiana, The Constitutional Republic of the United States of America. Just keep believing that we make $137,000. We do throw lavish parties. This is so cool to see. My dogs walk all of this with us. The Garden District is defined by cross streets, as is the French Quarter and others. Beware of false advertising. Uptown is a rabbithole & also a favorite of mine!😮 Hospitality city of the World. Check out the Black Pearl neighborhood. Its worth mentioning considering the people who built the Garden District. My household has yet again been invited to the Anne Rice houseparty being thrown by the filmmaker.

    What a wonderful video, I lived in New Orleans for 6 years until this January when I moved for work. I must have cycled by some of these houses a hundred times and never really knew all that much about them. This was really lovely and a great homesickness cure. Fingers crossed the city can recover quickly from Ida

    It is so sad the current owners of Anne Rice's house painted it that horrific salmon color. I was shocked last year to visit it after a few years to see it painted in that color.

    Celebrities buy these lovely homes but don’t reside there. So the loss of community is huge

    You might want to correct your script. The beginning said houses were built before 1865 by slaves, then at the end you say the gable house was 1873. I'm trying to learn some history here.

    • @AirWorthyTours
      @AirWorthyTours  Před 3 lety +3

      Yes, not every house in the Garden District was built by slave labor. Since the Gable House was built in 1873 (eight years after Emancipation in 1865), it was built using different forms of labor.

    beautiful footage. to note: The French Creoles did not want the Americans in the French quarter, so the Americans settled outside. Also Livaudais. is pronounced liv-a-day.
