didn't think the oil would be that easy of a fix! Today I cleaned my carb and now I guess I gotta get the blade sharpened and oil changed now! Thx for the video good sir!
Well done! Now get it mowin!
Just got a free mower from my Forman who didn’t feel like fixing it himself & wanted an upgrade. This helped me repair it, thank you!
Sweet nothing beats fixing a free mower, well done sir
I just did a THING!! I only went and fixed my mower!! Thank you so much! Excellent work. Good presentation.
You are just getting warmed up man! Congrats glad I could help
You are the first person to actually show and explain how to replace parts and properly drain the old oil. The video I watched earlier stated the mower be turned on its' side to drain old oil out of the fill opening. Wow!. Thank you so much. Erin
You are welcome, tipping it to the side is just being lazy
The gentleman generously showed his knowledge to us. Kudos Sir!
Glad to share it, I am putting everything I know on this channel. Is a blast
THANK YOU! I was just about to take my lawnmower to a small engine shop before I seen your video. I mean it was loaded in my truck and everything. I watched your video, ordered the parts from Amazon. When the parts came, I followed your instructions and once done, the lawnmower started on the first pull! 🎉. Great tutorial! Saved me some time and money.
Excellent news! Now the sad part is you have to get to mowing ;)
This is super helpful and educational!!! Very good content filled with knowledge that people should learn about. I finally got a good grasp of my mower, thanks to you sir!!!
You are welcome! You are the first goat I taught how to fix a mower lol.
Well done with a fun ride.
Geez, that is the best video regarding changing a carburetor. Good job!
Wow well thanks.
i never knew the oil drain plug was under the engine like that, i've been tipping the mower on its side and draining
the oil that way..very helpful video, TY
Glad it helped, tipping works also
Thanks for the video...very helpful! I'm gonna go for it on my Troy-Bilt 210!
Get’r done!
Quick easy and too the point... great video... 👍
Glad it helped
Thanks for the great video. My parents run their mowers into the ground and give them to me. Nobody taught them maintenance. So i didn't know till recently. Now trying to fix the one they gave me
You got this. There is no better feeling than fixing a mower from a family member they gave you for free.
Thanks man! Super helpful and educational. And yes Buccees is wonderful!
Glad it helped! I don’t even remember making the Buccees reference
Thank you sir.
Glad it helped get ya back mowin!
Thank you for the video
You're welcome
You are a lifesaver. I am disappointed Troy-Bilt does not have this information on their website.
Wow lifesaver! I think that is a bit much for helping fix a mower but I will take it.
It is?
Great video. Thanks for the tips!
Glad it helped
I recommend checking spark plug gap, never know what happens during shipping.
Nice job
Thanks !
Thanks for the super helpful video.... Love your Hat!! 🙂
Hey thanks, finally got a hat comment!
This guy is awsome
Wow well thanks
Mike, thanks for the video. It was exactly what I needed to see. Great instructions.
ron
Glad to help
thx man on the video, i'm gonna get busy with mine mower 😆
Good luck!
@@MowerMike i got everything replaced couple days ago, it was really easy and fun thx again bud
@@Julio-bc7pj great to hear!
My briggs 675ex didnt come with an outer air filter and it's never had one lol. It still runs great.
Haha wow what a machine
I recommend getting one
Curious to see how many people almost got their fingers and hands cut off taking the blade off.....for safety reasons i always recommend taking the sparkplug wire off....before doing any blade work....to prevent a accidental start....while your hands are under there....should've been mentioned in the video....
I am glad you said “almost” lol. Good recommendation
the engine won't die, but the cable which engages the drive train has come loose and won't engage, its not the lever on the handle that end works so its under the black cover up front but can't get it loose to check. two obvious screws comes out but still not loose.
No idea try cutting them off? Hammers, pry bars???
Have you had to replace the blade adapter with pulley? Mine got stripped and now need to replace. The belt seems fine but don’t know if that adapter is on there with any sorts of tension.
Any suggestions?
He ignored you....that sucks....i can help you
Can you store this mower vertically?
Hmm good question. You can tilt it backwards towards the handle. Or just hang it up and see what leaks
Hey Mike, I appreciate you doing this video because I have the same exact mower. The Amazon link for the spark plug seems to be broken...do you have an alternative link for this specific mower thanks!
Hey there. I updated the link to one that works. Thanks for pointing that out and let me know if you have any other issues with it working. Glad the video helped!
Whats that green knob on side of the motor
It is a hook up for a water hose, will spray out under your deck to get the grass out
@mower mike Can you please show a front wheel being changed? Mine wobble. They're only held on by the nut. Something on the inside either broke off or wore away.
You don’t need my help. That that nut off and see what it looks like. People still fixed things before CZcams came along.
I'll do a demonstration of this on my channel and help you,
Great video man I just pick one up for $30 dollars plus a de Walt shop vacuum. 😂 and a blower . An another Troy built small mower. Going to gived them away once I fixed them. Cause I got no grass lawn. But for $30 bucks you can beat it. I'm fixing Im replacing shop vacuum motor n keep that one . 🤑💰
Very cool, giving away mowers is a really cool experience. Have fun tinkering
@@MowerMike thanks man 👍🏻
We have a troy bilt tb200 and last time we were mowing half way through it got really loud so we turned it off any ideas on why?
Maybe it is low on oil?
@@MowerMike thank you for replying it does appear a little low we try that!!
i need that screw the mower i found has no screw
Screw that mower!
Mine sounds like a popcorn machine and doesn’t start…any idea what it can be? Already cleaned carburetor.
Haha nice description. Check the spark plug and the plug wire. Make sure the plug is not failed and the plug wire has a good connection to the plug.
@@MowerMike thanks for replying👍🏼👍🏼
If you need an engine part, go by the model of the engine, not the model of the mower. The same model mower can have different engines.
I have same mower. What about an oil leak? It’s not straight oil but kinda sludge like a slow leak
Haha sounds like it is time for a new mower
I probably didn’t describe it well enough. But either way I followed your video and took it all apart and just cleared it out. Put it back together and fired right up. Mowed the lawn tonight and no issues. So I’ll have to keep an eye on the oily substance. It’s more like dirt mixing with an oily film around the base. But either way thank you for the informative video. So far a clean out has done the trick
@@ssmcamo833 Nice job! Just keep oil in her and you are good to go.
I’m a greenhorn at trying to mess with my mower. Trying to take the cover off. I saw you took a Phillips screwdriver. I put in several different sizes and couldn’t get a lock on it to turn it. I didn’t want to strip it. Now don’t laugh. I’ve never worked on a mower and don’t know much about sizes. You said use a Phillips screwdriver. Can you tell me what size Of I need to purchase. I have a TB230 my cover looks like this one you are Demonstrating on.
Thanks
Donna
You are all good. I look at mine here and you can use a flat head screw driver on it not a Philips. Let me know if that works
It's a size 2 Phillips head screw
Anybody know where I can get the replacement for the Air filter housing unit
I suggest checking eBay
Amazon
Is there a fuel filter on a push mower?
Look
@@MowerMike Look where? I didn't see one and there's zero info out there about it.
You can always add one if you want.
I don't know what .5 quarts is. I just put 18 oz. and check the oil.
6 one way, half a dozen the other my man.
Most oil jugs have a measurement scale on the side
I wish my troy had a B and S engine. Those honda carb needles suck.
Never messed with one, am sure I will do a video on one some day when I find some old Honda push mower in my yard.
Thanks for the demo. And you were a lot of fun except for that pathetic hat! 😏😉
Haha thanks but my hat is the sh$t ;)
Nice job
Thanks!
