My son and I have had our Maxx for almost a week and Iâm surprised nothing has broken yet. Itâs a beast of a truck! Totally worth the money to see my boy smile and laugh so much. :)

Traxxas knew what they were doing with the stock tyres, at end of the day these are the lightest and more forgiving on the truck than others for bashing.

One way i found of getting stripped bolts and screws out is place a piece of clear tape or 2 over it and push screwdriver in the tape will fill the gap and should allow you to turn it works most of the time worth a shot kev.
easiest way to get the rounded bolt out is to take a dremel and cut a slot on the bolt head and then use a flat screw driver to spin it out.
That sounds allot easier than using a screw extractor!

I had beefy E-Revo driveshafts in my old first gen E-Maxx after doing the accidental front wheel drive conversion.. looks like the diff output is different on the X-Maxx though

I learned quick after getting my team associated nitro truck and bought 5 of everything for the drive train and then my pull start spring exploded when i went to start it. I have a team associated MGT 4.60 4x4 nitro truck 1/8 scale and I love driving it around the park with my son its a good bonding hobby. I work on cars so its nice to be able to teach him on a mini car pretty much.

Kev I think your pinion problem is the Cush drive having lots of play. Thatâs what my problem was until I put spacers on the bearings and pins.

I have duratrax lockup x 24mm tires on both of my X-Maxx 8s. Here in the US they are $100 for 4! And they are holding up well! Have you tried them out Kevin? They are also work for the Kraton 8s đ. I recommend them.

I get stripped out screws out with a Dremil with the thinnest possible cutting wheel on it. I cut a slot in the screw and get it out with a flat head screw driver.

I own an Arrma Talion 6s and used to own a thunder tiger eb4 g3, a hpi e firestorm, upgraded hpi sprint 2 running castle sv2 and 5700kv 4 pole brushless castle motor, FTX Vantage brushless etc running skyrc leopard 4370kv and etronix Esc on 3s. Hope you are all doing well! Used to also own an 87 kyosho optima mid

You can tape around the foam with duct tape and get verry little ballooning but then you don't have to tape tires in the future and the tires balloon slightly witch is good for speed and lowers friction

They make a screw extractor at any parts store its reverse thread and that will bit and take it right out without further disassembly

Sometimes rounded off screws don't come out. I believe you would say Chuck it in the bin. In the Midwest that there is a dumpster fire

You should do the drive cup sleeves on your XMAXX. There is a company that makes them in stainless steel you will never break another one.

Put a diff bearing on the outside of the drivecup with loctite or superglue, you will NEVER break a cup againđđœ. Also skip the center bolt in the drivecup. That way you wont break a driveshaft in a really nasty crash if the arm breaksđđœ. Been there done thatđđœ. Great editing kev!
