Actually, if you do not uncheck "embed textures" it will not set up PBR properly & you have to redo it in the node editor... even if you have the CC3 plugin for Blender installed. Rendering the animation in iClone is way easier and better than in Blender unless you are planning to use Cycles because of path tracing or RenderMan. But I got to say... We totally needed this video! I love Reallusion.

Hi, What about the textures and cloth physics? How do you then reconnect them? Can you please do a tutorial on that? Thanks!

Thank you so much! I think you should parent the armature to an empty object and animate it. Thank you so much

So much work just to make the character walk ten paces.

Is it true that there is no FBX export in iclone unless you need to purchase the 3DXchange ???????????? what the heck man... you are selling a program for animation in which you cannot export the animation and need to pay for another one (the 3dxchange) ??? Do I miss something here ?

Hello, I have a very basic question. I'm on iclone 8 and when I load a walking animation on my character it doesn't move away from its origin. How could I solve it?

Hi, I have problem with the armature scale. As in your video armature scale is 0.01 what creates a problem on gltf export (model is 100x larger) . Is there a way to apply armature scale to 1 and not to destroy the animation? thanks!

Great tutorial, but quick question. Do you actually need 3DXchange for exporting to Blender?

I need to know this also, because a simple directx error is keeping me from running 3dx. :( Customer service can't help me, and there is no tech support, so...

Okay I finally figured out the answer to this, and it's "NO", you DO NOT need 3Dexchange in order to export motion clips:
      1) Create a character in CC3
      2) Export it into iClone
      3) Apply a motion clip to the character
      4) Save the motion clip as a *.motionplus file
      5) While in the motion+ window in iClone, right click and select "find file"
      6) When the resulting window opens up, copy the address of that folder onto your clipboard
      7) Go back to CC3 where your character should still be open, export it as an FBX
      8) Select "Blender", Select "Mesh and Motion", set the FPS, under that tick "Custom"
      9) When you do that a folder icon will light up, allowing you to paste in the address you copied earlier.
      10) The Motion+ clip you linked to should appear in the window - Select it
      11) Hit "Export" - Open in Blender - Voila'!

@@RuinDweller all this procedure could be avoided if they simply had put an fbx export in iclone.... For Gods shake they force us to buy the 3dxchange pack ????

@@georges8408 Especially since most of us paid out the waz for pipeline versions already, only to STILL have to buy 3DX for a lot of things.

@@RuinDweller it is crazy because they ask you to pay for the most important and basic feature. The animation export. It is not an extra plugin like a characters pack or 3d models pack etc... it is the main feature.. Someone who buy iclone, it buys it to make animation and they ask you to pay extra in order the software you have already paid for to export the animation lol... it so crazy

Have you checked that FPS (frames per second) matches in both IClone and Blender?
