  • Here's my review of my Seagull Acoustic guitar. Please subscribe to see more guitar reviews and lessons :)
I've had this guitar for over 17 years and it was used when I bought it. It's been super reliable. I haven't had to fix anything ever except for broken strings but that's normal.
I also love the way it looks but it's a little bit harder to play than my Fender acoustic guitar.
Here's my review of my Fender acoustic guitar: • Fender CD-60SCE Electr...
Here's a link to a Seagull guitar you can buy on Amazon: amzn.to/3npXunR

I'm so impressed with this excellent review. I just barely saw it! The guitar is beautiful and so is the sound, Thanks so much for your helpful insight. I always learn so much from you. Very inspiring.

Still playing my 1991 Seagull S6 Acoustic and it still sounds and plays great after thirty years!

My S6 projects very well and it's plenty loud. I'm curious why yours isn't. 🤔 Maybe try different strings? I think your review is a great and super honest review. Seagulls are truly amazing guitars for the price. 👍

I believe later ones have a potential issue with the neck fixing . A luthier told me that they changed this connection and not for the better . They can be put right but it’s veryhard to get the necks off in order to correct them .

I don’t own a Seagull, but am seriously considering buying one, great reviews on them. Your guitar, after that amount of years, would surely benefit from a good set-up, and brighter strings. It should not be that difficult to fret the strings. The neck appears to be pretty glossy, could account for you finding it somehow difficult to slide your hand along. These things can creep up on you over the years, get it set-up and you will be greatly surprised.

I've always liked how the seagull guitars have that unique sound. I still have an old Ibanez acoustic that even my more expensive guitars can't duplicate. Would love an acoustic version of no apologies by papa roach. Just got through your scars tutorial

Ive watched so many of your tutorials. Thank you SO MUCH for doing this!! Could you do a tutorial on 'Drunk Texts' by new rules? (Acoustic guitar) That would mean the world. I want to learn it so I can play it for a friend, it's one of our favorite songs. (Ik this isn't a tutorial video, but it's just the last one I watched lol)

I only asked cause your tutorials are so easy to follow, and I couldn't find any other videos for the song, it's pretty new still.. I know you have alot to do, so no pressure. But 'it'd sure be cool if you did' (lol)

If your looking for a Seagull- and if you want a ~$500 guitar, I think you should- you want to find one from before 2016. They changed their neck to body joint to combat a slight tendency to bulge below the bridge, and the new ones are definitely going to be inferior in terms of durability.

If you want some really bright and louder sound use some D'Addario EJ11's 12/53 non coated, plus your guitar is a prototype, they were the only ones that had the model and serial number on a sticker on the back of the head stock. The serial number should be on the sticker in the sound hole.

Also still have my SM6+ spruce that I bought used in '04. Had to have a brace glued down, but she spent most of her life in New Mexico, and I used to leave her in the car a lot when I was in my 20's, so thats probably my fault. I also have several other guitars now, and I kind of outgrew the chunkier neck, but it still sounds GOOD with new strings and It's my go-to for finger picking. No, I don't have a Martin.

S6 Looks like a cedar top (spruce is also available for a little bit more). Solid top, mahogany/cherry ply back and sides.
