Yikes$!1200?here in US 700 new.just pu a mint used gem with hardcase 400.really great bang for the buck.Pawnshops r great for these kind of deals.I keep my cedar top furch at home and tk seagull for campfire gigs .just love that cedar tone.🐸
up until recently this guitar here in canada was 5-600 Canadian (about 350-450 usd). Now, like with everything, prices have gone up somewhat, but the value is just unmatched with all godin acoustic. For cedar top, I recommend the norman st40, seagull s6 or simon and Patrick woodland, but for spruce, if you can ever find a Simon and Patrick showcase guitar, or a Norman st68 .. you'll never need to look for another guitar again
Hi Guys i got the Burnt Umber S6 Seagull , I find it difficult playing Bar chords specially lower down the Fret Board like from Fret 5 to Fret 8, I have to use a lot more Pressure , Is this a General Problem with this Model of Seagull, Or do i Need to lower the Action a bit. Because i have not altered the action till now. Kibndly Advise.
Been torn between buying this one versus the Art and Lutherie Cedar EQ Antique Burst. Have you heard that one? Do you think tge Seagull S6 revamped with the Q1T sounds as good as this one?
@@cooloutac it’s a guitar brand. Really good acoustic guitars. I have a Seagull S6 and it’s nice but I recently tried an Orangewood Hudson (used at Guitar Center) and it really sounds so good and much better than the S6
@@cooloutac well you can go try them yourself. I mean it makes sense why the Orangewood Hudson would be better than the S6, as the Orangewood is all Solid Wood and the S6 is not. Also the playability of the Orangewood is much better than the S6, and I have the S6 Slim 😅 still that neck is not as inviting to play as a Taylor or Orangewood
They're layered. Cherry, mahogany, cherry. Has a better resonance than a Martin HPL or, say, Yamaha laminate due to minimal layers. Some may say that's subjective but in my own experience with the S6 I would die on that hill. You can feel the bass end boom vibrate your stomach.
I bought my S6 in 1994 and it's still great. I play them almost every day!
Great review and excellent information! Thank you 🙏
Glad you enjoyed it!
If you can get past the width of the neck which is similar to classical guitars , they're good value for the money

@@bennyapproves I find that hard to believe.

Are the back and sides solid cherry? Are they cherry? cherrio...
Not solid back and sides - cherry wood laminate.
Is there a solid version by Seagull or Godin?
