This is their FULL performance of their speed run of the original Metroid played along with live music. The only sounds from the game are the basic sound effects. All the music is performed entirely by the band on stage while another of the members plays the game live on stage as well. - Hudba

23:27 isn't Ridley's boss theme, it's the self-destruct/escape sequence music from Super Metroid.
I know this video is many years old now, but I figured since no one else has said it yet I would, the ??? You have at 13:58 is Green Brinstar or Brinstar Overgrowth from Super Metroid.
I had goosebumps throughout this performance. I felt very fortunate to be able to be there and experience this!

I think I was standing next to you as you were filming this! I remember someone wearing a mask and having a...stick weapon, I think, with a camcorder attached. :) Anyway, thanks so much for uploading! I was searching for weeks.
I had no mask on. There was another guy I do recall seeing with a basic camera on a monopod that was also filming. I was wearing a camo hat.

The drummers floor tom and hihat skill is rad as shit. They nail every song better than the game did. Discussion done. I've been looking for a better norfair, there exists none.

The filming was great,band was great,the intro was not particularly anything noteworthy,i could relate,i was good company not something to flip angry s4!+ over.
I like this band,I like them a lot,this show was my first view of these guys with Metroid...I wasnt nervous,now the blizzard drive home? I was nervous.
You guys totally scared half the crowd at the end,most ppl around me needed to change themselves because of that... omg good game.

Their runs are chosen based on time. That'd be rough to do in a 45 minute set I think.
GTXMedia Yeah you're right it's kinda a long game, but i guess there are people who can speedrun it.
There are, and I don't doubt these guys could, but even the world record is above 45 minutes, so tough to say what they could do with it.

Yeah a Mario run would be good. I would use Mario 2 though just because 1 and 3 have too many levels. Mario 2 has 20 levels, a 20 song setlist of Mario songs is plausible if you throw in Dr. Mario, Mario Paint, Yoshi's Island.

^ Blaster Master or DD2 would be my choice too. With BM there are no sequels for filler songs, but they could play some Fester's Quest and Gremlins 2 during the boss liars (they used the same engine as BM).
I vote Shadowgate, there's a guy who does a medley on CZcams but I wanna see these guys rock it live!

Noted. This was recorded from a Rode Videomic Pro mounted on the camera. The combination of that and how the room audio was mixed means some instruments can be hard to hear. I'll certainly take note of this though and see what I can do to fix it if it needs more adjustments.
Woah :), Yes after I posted I thought it maybe had something to do with the Mic or room acoustics. But nevertheless, I fucking loved it
I can make adjustments in post. The mic pics up audio extremely well and usually it picks up bass TOO much and peaks, so I turn on the mic's cutoff to help reduce that, and then adjust it as needed in post.

These guys are great, but i feel this presentation was not so fluid like other games they did, there were too many stops.
The arrangments are very nice though Metroid i like better with Metroid Metal.
PS: The drummer i think is trying to simulate too much the 8bit rythm, which doesn't work so good for real drums, it needs to be more natural, later it gets better; Dat bass line though.
