haha I'm in glasgow and it's been a sunny day for once. Been fired aff ma job as well so had a few tins in KG park came back and found this
you can tell so much creativity and hard work went into making these beautiful songs. each one is so unique and rich and beautiful. seriously the most underrated band.
Danny Boatright
Yeah Ashes Grammar is easily one of my favorite albums of all time. I never tire of it! So much creativity like you said in each song. I hope one day Scribble Mural Comic Journal gets a vinyl release.
KEXP always has the best bands!!
Fantastic smeared pop songs. Probably the album I listened to most this year. Translates surprisingly well live for dense, reverb laden dream pop.
So, it's not just me, This record is simply fantastic.
I didn't think there was a chance in hell they'd be able to sound anything like their record live. That being said, this was really awesome!
are they tho? I'm not hating, but their records are much much better.
@@Fran547 congrats you just discovered how music works
@@ggthewhale thanks man, check out my bloody valentine live performance if you'll have the chance to see an actual band that sounds better live than on recordings
@@Fran547 i actually saw them live in 2018, they absolutely suck live
@@ggthewhale you obviously didn't if you say so, given you're defending this live, which is hilariously worse than the record
These guys are really bringing shoegaze into the now.. love love love them.
Like hearing four songs at the same time and they are ALL fucking amazing.Just breath taking harmonies in here.My ears are in love!!
lots of reverb, i love it!
Their live performance is as good as their record. Loving this.
I love A Sunny Day In Glasgow! I can't stop listening to their latest album. They sound fantastic live, too!
I can feel it in almost every live vids of them ive seen and ive seen alot, couse i like their music.
Jen Goma ♥
wow, phenomenal!
Sunny days in Glasgow , are rare but what a city, when the sun does shine1 lol
Amo este álbum!!
what happened to these guys? Sea when absent was fire
they recorded some stuff in 2017 but haven’t said much about any new music since
beautiful video and cool music song that I like ! thank you for sharing .
have a nice week !
Bravo!
does anyone know what's happened to this band? I haven't heard a peep from them in years
Amazing and very underrated
Great
Jen goma is such a creative human (◍•ᴗ•◍)❤
i just saw LUSH a few days ago.....wish this band played with.
how do they sound these days? Anything left from previous days?
Massimo Gioia they were great.
Cool! I saw them in 1991. I saw Ride in November of 1990, the second time I've seen them 25 years later in Vancouver.
Massimo Gioia yeah..i saw lush back in the day...but i just saw ride last year...also saw MBV a few years ago..if you like shoe gaze check out ringo deathstarr and no joy.
@Situationist International thinking about concerts now hurts...especially the shows that i was going to and bailed out on..
favourite current band but there are some tuning issues with the two singers at once
thank you, i was looking through the comments cause i wanted to say something but didnt want to be the miserable s.o.b to do it.... totally agree.
whats the first song
"oh, i'm a wrecker (what to say to crazy people)"
by the way, it's pronounced Glas-go, not Glas-gow as it looks.
Glass-cow. Come on now!
@@TheChimp1980 Its pronounced GLAZGO.....not glasgo...we hate that
@@TheChimp1980 Don't throw stones at glass cows.
Why would an American band name themselves after Glasgow? 😂
It's pronounced "Glaz-goh" not "Glass-gow"!
I hope Morgan isn't still working at KEXP, I really do not care for her.
Why? I like her.
It's pronouced glez-gah! aye?!?
glaz-go
Fook off u count
I really want to love these guys, and I do like a lot of moments on the album. But they talk about how much work and how long it took to make the album, and that's the problem for me, the music is often overworked and over-thought. Like there a lot of opinions within the band coming to a head, sometimes working really well and others just sounding too busy and disjointed. I feel like this is more of a band of aspiring individuals than an aspiring band. Maybe a bit harsh as it is a pretty good album and pretty good live performance too... but yeah, not quite making it to my best of 2014 list.
You are overthinking it. Either you like the soundzz, or you don't.
+Ian Watts These songs sound pretty badass. Don't know much about these guys. "Over-worked and over-thought." The only thing that's over-thought here is your analysis and your haircut.
