Im an East Coast of the USA fisherman. Specifically New Jersey. I have a 1967 16ft starcraft that I use for EVERYTHING. I run the boat out to 40 miles on any given day. We have the unfortunate spot of being 65 miles from any sort of continental shelf. At 40 miles I may reach 200ft. But we get monster bluefin tuna. Sometimes within sight of land. I have landed a few to 300lbs in my boat. Along with numerous mahi in the 20lb range(taken in green water in 95ft). I've fished big boats but there is no feeling like pulling back to the dock or ramp with a monster in a dingy. More small boat please!!!!

this is what I use, doesn’t take up too much water and can turn off and on real easy. You can also connect it to a livebait tank just like he has. I don’t use it regularly and it still works fine.

mate you have to do a challenge of fishing with the cheapest piece of shit sounder you can find. Mines like $50 and its terrible
