In this video I rank my 3 bank accounts from worst to best. These bank accounts include some of the best high yield savings of 2023 or high interest savings account and best checking accounts of 2023. MAking these some of the best banks and savings accounts you can put your money in 2023 to earn a high APY or interest rate. Some of these high yield savings accounts and banks have two in one checking and savings account options, so you’ll get to earn a high APY on the high yield savings account and you’ll get a checking account as well, like one of my favorite bank accounts, SoFi, with the SoFi checking and savings account combo that earns you interest on checking balances as well.

Great video and it’s true that the best fit is a different thing for everyone. I rank Sofi as #1 because their SoFi vaults are a unique feature that is highly underrated. Setting up a direct deposit and automatic vault transfers is basically an automatic budget and is truly a game changer to be able to accrue the high interest yet still keep everything budgeted in vaults. I’d rank Capital One as #2, but my #3 is Schwab Checking since their ATM card is free at any ATM worldwide, so I keep them for the ATM card only since its a game changer for that feature.

I got Charles SW for my Checking no ATM fee charge debit card and Capital one and American express for my saving both of them 4.35 not much different from Sofi but I don't have to set up direct deposit

Are there any penalties for transfers from savings to checking ?
I do get 4.5% with Sofi just direct deposit of $50 each paycheck so not much but you do still get the high yield savings which is nice
I have a question for SoFi bank acc, if I set up direct deposit for the checking acc does the higher interest 4.20% also apply for the saving acc? Also does the debit card come in the mail? Sorry I’m fairly new to banking.

I personally had a terrible and tedious experience with the Amex savings account, had to close it. I don’t recommend it.
Being able to deposit cash for free at any CVS or Walgreens makes CapitalOne #1 for me.
Do Capital one and discover require direct deposit for the higher apy like sofi? I currently have sofi and wish they offered the high apy without direct deposit...still awesome bank though
No: Capital One nor Discover require a direct deposit for the APY that they offer.

I am using SoFi checking and high yield savings account for 2 years now and I am more than happy. They recently integrated Zelle inside their mobile app as well (earlier you had to download Zelle app and setup with your debit card). Withdrawing money is even easier now as I have more walgreens and CVS with all point atm near me than BoFA or chase ATMs.

Hey, thanks for pointing this out, it was a mistake on my end. SoFi does allow outgoing wire transfers, but only for home purchases and incoming wires from any domestic institution at this time.

The capital one 360 performance savings in not a fixed rate it’s variable so it can go lower so why not do a cd where it’s fixed with a guaranteed rate
Yep highyield savings accounts have variable rates and those rates can increase or decrease at anytime. I prefer a highyield savings account over a CD because of the freedom to withdraw my money at anytime. CD’s lock you in at a fixed rate but in exchange you can’t take out your money for a set period, which I don’t like very much. 😊

I been banking with capital one for like 6 years actually it was the 1st time that my card expired that’s how happy am with capital one but in the other hand I don’t use it daily transactions I only use it to pay some bills I actually use a credit card to use it to pay daily transactions

@@AccentBwoy I like SOFI for many reasons but one of the major reasons is because I have their credit card, bank with them, and I also use them to buy and sell stocks. Being able to see all this information from my phone has simplified things for me. I can also see my credit score. You can also link accounts to SOFI. I have my 401k and my wife’s 401k among other things. I can see my net worth in pretty much real time. I also like the savings vault. Every month we have certain amount of our pay go to certain savings vaults like a vacation fund and tuition for my son’s school. I also like that SOFI has a lot of atms to withdraw money. They partnered with allpoint is the name I believe. 55,000 atm’s nationwide at no cost. When I was with TD bank I could only withdraw from TD bank so atm’s were limited.

Just opened my 360 savings account after watching your videos. Really like the capital one bank just one thing I’ve noticed: when you transfer from an external bank it takes at least 5 business days to become available for use. Bummer but other than that it’s great
