- Per usual the musical diversity of Genshin Impact always proves to be exciting and rewarding to listen to. This truly is modern classical music in the best sense of the word.

I am delaying listening to and watching the 2nd anniversary concert due to the major plot spoilers in it. So, just fyi.
It’s fine, those tracks are way more impactful experiencing it in the game anyway
No problem, maybe if you want you can check the fan made concert i dont remember spoils in it (to check) it's on the HoYoLab channel the concert was really a good surprise for me. Anyway wish you the best and bisou de la 🇨🇵!!
Maybe you can just listen to the audio?
And if possible, record it, because I feel like some people in chat will maybe spoil what the ost is about or what happens during the ost
But inthe end, it's all up to you! We will wait even if it takes months to get there ^^
Enkanomiya is the place where you go once and never again but the lore community dredge it up from the bottom of the ocean every tuesday
And for good reason. Enka layed the ground work for the theories of today and gave major insights into the history and origins of Teyvat.
I may be a rare case but I do come back a lot there to hang out or wish at my favorite spot which is the small cave with the floating Jellyfish and the water puddle like around the first island at the end of the secret room.
From the bottom of the ocean. I see your pun there. 😂
I think you mean to say it's the place you go only once unless Hoyoverse makes a limited-time event down there with interesting and completely missable lore tidbits as they tend to do.
@@cloudy978 I haven't explored it properly just so I can have an excuse to go there 😂
Enkanomiya is so different from the rest of Genshin’s OST because it’s not even in Teyvat.
Notice how it doesn’t even use the Photon of Fluctuation leitmotif that is present in every main battle theme. Should really give the other Enkanomiya tracks a listen, it really evokes a different feeling.
I bet we gonna get it back when we get to that place... it's technically in the same "realm"
Hoyomix is really good at hiding leitmotifs in songs... I'm pretty sure it's hinted in it 🤔
And what's really cool is that the vishap boss theme uses the Beats of Water Drops leitmotif instead - well it's more like a remix. That's a friggin early floor abyss/ the Cecilia Garden's domain theme! Really emphasizes that Enkanomiya isn't in Teyvat but somewhere else otherworldly (though might still be somewhere in the "planet", idk), and I absolutely loved it as I lost my mind then.
@@PrograError enkanomiya most likely is not even in the same realm as teyvat but its most likely in its own realm/bubble reality/domain
@@ellek7074 someone def didn't follow the lore or the travail video... 😉😉
These breathy sounds are connected to other vocal parts of Enka's tracks. And in general they give a feeling of the funeral. Like, all the dead cities - Old Mond, Enka, Chasm - they all have these funeral vocals.
So in battle theme, i think, these breath sounds represent dust that was laying there for thousands of years and now rises during the battle.
Beautiful insight
thats a reach and a half
@@tardwrangler1019 Oh? Could you do a better explanation then, Einstein?
@@Unforgiving_Eye it sounds cool 👍👍
I love the tracks in Enkanomiya. So pretty and the breathy vocals are gorgeous.
My interpretation with the "breath" in the theme is that it denotes the experience of the Enkanomiya people living 'beneath the waves' and how they are trying to survive in that dangerous environment. Something like how a person desperately tries to breath air when they drown.
Another interesting thing is that it is really hard for people to get to the breath part,
Since combat rarely take that long
So it is a surprise gift for music lover.
It also give chills to people who is actually taking such a tough battle.
[ _chuckles awkwardly in getting bullied off the cliff several times by triple ruin guard at the entrance and just constantly needing to walk away cause they kept alternating their spins and missiles._ ]
Bro I heard it accidentally when I wanted to avoid the hilichurls so bad but they wouldn’t get off me lmaoooo and this part came which gave me goosebumps and I went from furious and mad to awed.
This is first song that when I hear it I told "Okay, I need decrease my damage outbut to make battles longer"
Same
There was a part in the Liyue battle theme that sounded like Ganyu’s theme, so I also reduce my damage there.
same had to pack eula up for exploration lol
This exact fact makes me feel too strong. I watch these videos being like 'wow I never heard that in the song' when the thing is that it didn't have enough time to play in game.
Enkanomiya is essentially haunted Ancient Greece (and probably my second favorite OST in game)
It is a foggy floating city in the clouds, underground and filled with ghosts, man eating lizards, and flying mantarays
For me, the voice part in this song gives the impression of ghostly sounds - like the ghosts forever bound to Enkanomiya's darkness in-game trying to communicate with you.
It's supposed to be a suffocating mermaid
The breaths and the humming feels like a siren singing while you are fighting in the sea, its amazing.
the thing about the singing, it sounds a lot like Venti's CN VA. so the singing being associated with the wind is very interesting and I'm pretty sure there's a few theories out there linking the singing and the lore you find in Enkanomiya. the wind itself is an overly present theme in genshin and i love it
Heck even the lore of Enkanomiya talks about Istaroth the god of wind, litterally Venti is a fragment of hers.
And they even said that she controls both wind and time
God of time*
ye i didn't want to mention any of that, i thought it a bit too spoilery.
i'm pretty sure (but please correct me if i'm wrong, i'd love to know!) that Venti being a fragment of Istaroth is a theory as well
@@jadesides51 Istaroth also has connections to Mondstadt and Barbatos
one of the tracks also has a section that's identical to one of the mondstadt overworld themes, presumably a motif symbolizing Istaroth
This was the first Battle Theme OST where I had to stop and just listen to it when I first encountered it.
It doesn't sound like a strictly battle theme to me and has sections that sound very warm and comfortable like a love song almost, especially with the vocals :D
Mine as well followed by Fischl's domain battle music. First time I stopped to listen to the music without it being a battle theme was exploring Stormterror's Lair and then when climbing the peaks in Liyue during a sunrise.
That was the moment I decided to unequip all artifacts and weapons when I explore new areas, so that combat doesn't last 30 sec.
I was so annoyed when the enemies died too fast, I wanted to listen to it more 😭
@@legacymse7095 ouch... you mad hunt for the berries and emegency food?
I was literally about to make this same comment. Also the first time I stopped to listen to the music while in-game, as opposed to finding it on youtube later.
My music teacher said that music is the closest thing to god’s voice… I still believe that
I'd tend to agree.
Every time I hear a new OST track from Genshin, I legitimately shout out: "YU-PENG CHEN YOU'VE DONE IT AGAIN!!" This man's talent and dedication for music that fits the game's areas and characters so well is beyond measurable.
in contrast to this, the idle theme is a lot more melancholic. They're bothbeautiful. its a good listen too.
When Enkanomiya was released, I remember I was so excited for playing, is the most beautiful region and music so calm and relaxing, that's why I still play the game.
the back story still haunts me today.
4:15
Marco was just vibin' and suddenly confusion was blatantly written on his face when 4:17 came 😂
i like to interpret the breaths at 4:16 as the breaths of the ghosts and lost souls you encounter in enkanomiya. love your videos :)
Enkanomiya music blew my expectations away. To this day it still gives me goosebumps. I hope Khaenri'ah music will hit just as hard or more
Is it confirmed that we'll be going to khaenri'ah?
I think the title "Combat beneath the waves" means, literally, UNDER the ocean. As in, the ocean is above you, and you're in this deep unknown and unexplored space, while the waves crash above you in the known world. As others have said, Enkanomiya is a forgotten ancient civilisation locked away to the depths of the world for hundreds of years. This feeling of despair and hopelessness of the once living people of this civilisation after the gods abandoned them, is what I think is represented by the breaths. I interpret it as desperate gasping, trying to reach the air that is slowly dissipating while you are banished from the world. If you are running, you are breathing heavily to try to obtain the air around you, and in this case you are also trying to reach the air that you want, except it's something more like the feeling of being obtaining freedom and and the desire of seeing the sky again.
My favorite theme from Enkanomiya is "No Turning Back" (its the boss battle music), I really recommend you to hear it, it's simply so good
Its a good remix of a old mondstadt track, but its not orchestrated and takes very long to start up. Still a very good track but not on the level of the regular enka battle themes tbh.
That heavy breathing sound is like a hack so geniusly effective it's bordering on the unethical. Human psychology and physiology both can affect the another and our brain isn't very good at telling apart which is the cause and which is the result. For example when we're nervous our heart might pump faster, however if we somehow artificially make our heart pump faster, we might also feel nervous even though there's nothing to be nervous about. Those heavy breathing sounds in the soundtrack, especially when listing thru headphones, are almost indistinguishable from hearing ourselves breathing heavily, yes cognitively we know it's not us, but the more rudimentary parts of our brain will pick up on that and make us feel unsettled.
Oh damn so thats what it was. Its a psychological method. Thats pretty awesome. Especially when it wants to convey the dread of Enkanomiya's history. I hope Marco sees this
Breath and breathing are one of many underused sounds in music in my opinion. It gives this piece such a unique feel especially as a battle theme and one associated with this place in genshin which I have, admitedly, not been to and know very little about.
Enkynomia is a plce scirned by the gods and the people there have faded into nothing. To me the breathe represents the echoes of these people that linger as shades you can talk to
I love the Enkanomiya music and im glad you noticed that its just strings here. I feel it reflects the isolation and loss of identity the region has endured through the ages. Its a beautiful piece, and once you are in the region you'll definitely feel the loneliness it provokes. Makes me sad we are in the area for such a short time.
I hadn't realized this piece had a vocal aspect while playing in game, since the fights rarely last long enough to get to the later point of the song. I really love that voice, so pure and sweet on top of the strings. I also appreciate you pointing out the pirate-y vibes. I grew up hearing the Pirates of the Carribean music from my mother playing the sheet music on the piano, and I recognized the feeling immediately. Thanks as always for your commentary on this music, it shows it to me in a new light.
You’re welcome!
It's such a pity that Enkanomiya doesn't have any Archon Quest, so if you follow main story only, you won't get there. Probably the most unique place in the game in terms of atmosphere. Walking there for the first time, listening to that music, was such an impactful experience for me.
This. Side area with a shit ton of lore implications
@@GbrBy genshin loves doing that doesn’t it
We actually might get in the distant future because enkanomiya was once a part of the unified nation of the whole world which shared same culture, just like the city in the chasm
This song, while I love it for how beautiful it is in a vacuum, I personally don't think it quite fits the area and feelings of Enkanomiya that I feel when I look at the desolate and lonely environment.
On the other hand, the other battle theme has stuck with me ever since I heard it and sat listening for the first time for quite a few minutes (as a hilichurl was hanging out shooting at me in the background) and I felt genuinely touched by the song, it definitely left me pretty speechless. Something about the haunting melody just hit different, y'know?
Enkanomiya is one of those places in Genshin that not only absolutely floored me when I first played through it because it's my favorite looking region in the entire game to this day, but also because the music and history was just *immaculate,* and it still sticks with me today. I REALLY wish they'd give us a reason to go back again, but I know it's left for good much like it is in the lore...
I felt the OSTs in Enkanomiya were Final Fantasy like. I thought of how the vast and lost environment was "unlimited" as far as you could see. Literally the air around was the vast ocean. I felt like the strings really fitted in, but it's an another opinion to contribute in 😬.
Build Yae Miko she'll give u a reason to go back a few times 😊
i suggest you hear the other battle themes from enkanomiya, the amount of things you get to know, the lore, the emotions, emptiness and sorrow are incredible and only from listening to a theme
Agreed, that theme hit me with more emotion. It's like an encounter at the beginning, then the song reminding me that I am alone, the loneliness hit me but still I have to move on.
@@licking9334 the emptiness of a place that once had living people living their lives, kids, people that was surviving, the place has memories printed on the walls and that's what the themes bring afloat, even if we know that the majority of the people rised to watatsumi, the ancient civilization that battled against the vishaps, the vishap people, the abyss, the khaenri ah connections, an empty place feels ALIVE from memories
Enkanomiya’s music felt so different from the rest of Teyvat when I first entered the area I was absolutely mesmerized, made me think I really entered another world
And considering the lore you find in Enkanomiya… hats off to HoyoMix, amazing
The breathing at around 4:19 is very immersive to me - I've been joking that it's exactly how I'd be breathing if I ever had to fight like a Genshin character 😂
And when it comes to Enkanomiya, I generally prefer some of the BGM to the battle themes. If you look at the lore of Enkanomiya and do the world quests you realise how beautifully the music ties into all of it
Fun fact:
Enkanomiya is the remains of a civilization that predates the rule of the Seven archons. It’s based on the culture of Ancient Rome and Greece
Yeeess! This is one of my 2 absolute favorite combat tracks in the game! The other being Undersea Encounters (Which I also highly recommend you check out), which plays in the same area, but I believe during the night time (This one I believe plays during day time), just, the moment the breathing and humming starts, it just hits different, man, all the music in this area just hits so different compared to the music in the other nations, the entire album for the area this plays in, to this day, remains my favorite album from this game
I know people have already commented on where this plays and what it's all about, but I still won't mention much more than what I already have XD Because this is a place that is truly worth experiencing blindly for the first time
The other combat theme play alternatively with the one in the video, it doesn’t have to be at night.
@@KhangNguyen-qn4bh Ah, ok, then it might've just been by pure chance that it always seemed like it alternated between day and night for me XD
I absolutely loved the Celtic inspiration for Enkanomiya's music.
it was Celtic?
@@jalcome4201 maybe it wasn't but just the way the violins played made me think of celtic music
you are not the only one who think that. i think too from how the violin sounds, though i'm not sure if it was inspired from celtic music, it does sound from european folklore music
@@jalcome4201 the region is rather Greek inspired judging by the names mentioned during the quest, but I agree the music sounded Celtic to me as soon as I heard it, the arquitecture looks very high elves like lol so maybe they added different cultures to make up enkanomiya? That is my guess :)
Yeah it reminds me of traditional Scottish music, I'm irish and it definitely doesn't sound like irish music. Scottish is probably most accurate
I can't wait for you to explore Enkanomiya in the near future, the area truly is a must experience
I had to rush through it for an event and I hated it, the dim light was torture to the eyes.
What I love about this song is that is always evolving, it comes back to previous parts but adding or changing stuff, and the things it add are ver interesting, the sound of the strings, the audacity of the bass, the confusion of the breath that ends as a companion voice instead of just a little gimmick in the song, is a very good song. Enkanomiya has been one of the places I enjoyed the most, but bc of that now I have no other reasons to go there except to hear the OST bc is magnficent.
A magical piece for a magical area!
I'm not the wisest player and I don't have the best memory for lore, but the music of Enkanomiya is still able to remind me of the atmosphere of the area. That's powerful to me.
4:17 This vocal paths pretty interesting, it's like representing the people of Enkanomiya running from something being out of breath.
You definitely need to check out on more of Enkanomiya region
This theme has a pirates of the Caribbean vive on it. Makes me like It a lot
By far my favourite in this game
Oh boy can't wait for the chasm music interpretation to come out ^
Genuinely some of my favorite music in the game. I used to make fights last as long as possible when I was in Eknanomiya
9:00
From that moment you mostly decribe entire location, awesome.
What about battle themes 2 and 3? Wait until you come to plot?
Let's go... your Genshin music reactions are so good.
Enkanomiya is probably one of my favorite locations in Genshin, It looks absolutely gorgeous.
The music of enkanomiya is really unique among the combat music, in almost everyone you can identifie the "genshind combat melody" in some way or form, but this took me away from that formula and really made me feel like i was in a totally diferend dimention, and also reminded me of the Made in abyss ost wich is my favorite anime ost :3
Fun fact, Enkanomiya is not actually in "Teyvat", it's in the Dark Sea
@@ancalyme ¡
EXACTLY!
@@ancalyme its a part of old teyvat that sunk when all the continents flip upside down. Then now resting in the dark sea where orobashi and another god lived.
I remember when enka was first released so many lore fanatic ate so good with the dense lore of that place. The Music is always so good, one of my favorite battle track
Just starting watching this, excited!!
i love it when marco imitates the instruments with his voice x) it sounds so pleasing
I love your videos SO, SO much!!
Love and enjoy your reactions. Always so fun! ❤️
Gosh I was looking forward to your reaction on this so much.
Always love your insights.
Oh I have waiting this song so long for you to listening one day, thank you so much, your explanation is always clean and understandable I love your video !
Enkanomiya reaction finally!!! Great analysis as always Marco! Been waiting for this for I don't know how long 😃😃
OMG YES
BEEN WAITING FOR THIS ONE FOR SO LONG
Enkanomiya’s soundtrack is one of my favorites. Something about the music just resonates with me and I go back to it repeatedly. I love listening to the soundtrack when I’m doing homework or working on my projects. Before the glassblowing class in my university was shut down (unfortunately…I want it back.) I would listen to the the soundtrack. And yes, I was making jellyfish paperweights. This sound track was the main inspiration for them.
Alwayyysss love to watch you. Your reactions are so genuine it gets me the feels
Edit: your face when you reached the breathing is priceless lmao you looked so clueless
Thank you for reacting to this piece! I love the rich string ensemble, the sense of echoing in the melody and the mysterious singing all coming together to paint a picture of the forgotten depths coming to light on this part of the Traveler's journey across Teyvat!
Someone in another comment section talking about this particular track once mentioned the concept of either a siren singing a melody or also of anti-G-LOC breathing techniques (used by pilots soaring/ deep diving from the skies so they don't lose consciousness making a deep dive) which perhaps fits the idea of the Traveler taking careful breaths (hence the rapid breathing complementing the singing) as they're in a deep zone beneath the surface of Teyvat to explore a lost civilization beneath the waves. Such magical storytelling from one battle theme!
It's a place I rarely visit, but when I do, im in awe staring at that artificial Sun!
this is the best genshin battle ost for me,, it used to be gallant challenge (liyue battle ost) but got dethroned after enkanomiya was released. enkanomiya is really beautiful, can't wait for you to see it yourself. hope you enjoy ur trip to inazuma, Marco :D
I would love to see your reaction to a Risk of Rain 2 song, For a rogue-like game it has some killer music to vibe along to.
The best song out of all of them is "The Rain Formally Known as Purple" it is super groovy.
this is one of my favourite Genshin music. I even have this on top of my song list. Thank you for covering this one. ❤️
Marco thank you so much for this one, I am so happy you reacted to the Enkanomiya battle theme, however as much as I love the first track of the battle theme, I think you should definitely listen to the 2nd and 3rd Battle Theme of Enkanomiya, it is honestly a piece I had to sit down, stop doing everything and just... cry. It shows really encompasses the tragic backstory of Enkanomiya as whole, especially the second one. I think you will find the third one VERY surprising and I think it would be a great piece to react to and see your views on it.
Great video, I loved how you touched upon how the "breath" can bring new *light* :) nailed it there. Keep it up and thank you again!
YESS IVE BEEN WAITING FOR MORE ENKANOMIYA REACTIONS AND UR MY FAVE CHANNEL TO WATCH THESE ‼️‼️‼️ combat beneath the waves is an underrated track imo, its so good i listen to it a lot when im cleaning or doing other stuff and have music in the background!
YESSS YESSSS my fav one TYSM, Marco💖
Yes!!! So glad you finally reacted to my request, which is my favourite combat OST in all of Genshin Impact :D thank you so much!
Someone told me that the soprano voice is actually Venti's Chinese VA, which has brought out some very very interesting theories regarding how the piece also hints at the lore of the region.
When I've firstly listened this part with breath, i was really scared 😄
Marco your vision about what breath means was absolutely right, and it really has a lot of meanings, but they all were right!! It was amazing, its a great ability to understand the thing only while u listen the music! I love you 😍😍😍😍
I was pleasantly surprised at the string quartet, grand adventure sound that this had, when I mostly expected similar music to the region Enkanomiya is near. It was very refreshing and adds further diversity to the sonic palette of this game.
Also I lolled at your expression when you heard the breathing part. I had a similar reaction, but after a few listens I found my own interpretation that it is meant to be a textured motif that represents the player catching their breath in an adventure underwater.
Thanks for the video!
As someone whose lungs aren't in perfect condition, that breath sound made me suffocate immediately. And I found that amazing.
It would be nice if you could react to some of the fan made stuff if even on stream. ''If You Suddenly Think Of Me'' by the archon CN VAs is especially catchy.
Enkanomiya is my favorite place in the game and this battle music is my absolute fave. I still go down there a lot just for the music and terrain. Thank you for reacting to this! Very interesting hearing a professional musician’s perspective and experience on this.
Words cannot express how glad I am that you took this melody for review! I listen to it to calm down, to collect my thoughts, to cheer up... in short, all the time 😄 This music is so lively and moving, like the sea, with which it is closely connected.
Finally it's here!! Hell yeah! There's another enkanomya battle theme and I love it! Definitely worth checking it out!
Well. Enkanomiya is very windy. You'd know once you get there. A constant current of wind.
Ah.. finally you touch this underrated music area! can't wait for you to react to their dark night and white night ost. Also the breath of the singers i think to pictured the enkanomiyan people who had a very hard time breathing in that place when they first plunged to the realm between abyss and teyvat. not a day after they are plunged there, they had to fight the vishap to defend their land while having a diffcult time to breath. so i think this represents enkanomiyan tale very well
Been a while since I wanted to see this one.
This is my favorite! I always play this at work, the music is so breathtaking i love the vocals! It really suit Enkanomiyas ambience and lore. It sounds like siren or ghost in Enka
Awesome you finally got to the battle Enkonomiya theme. This is one of my favorite song in Genshin. When I first heard it I had actually just stood there getting attacked by enemies just to listen to the song. I honestly think it's one of the best songs in Genshin.
Hey there, Marco! Loving your work here! I would love to see your reaction to The Chasm's battle theme, namely "Tremor of Menace". Keep up the awesome work!
oh my God, I absolutely love your reactions~ The way you approach everything in life seems through Art, when listening to you Life itself seems like Art to me; like Life becomes intertwined with Art in a mysterious way~ 💙🦋
❤️
i can't comment much about Enkanomiya(I might add unintentional spoilers) but it was one of the best time of my Genshin Impact gameplay. Waiting for you to get to that part of the story!
Love this so much
Enkanomiya battle ost is 1 of my most favorites nd seeing some1 analysis of them is always great since i dont understand much about music, i would also love to see ur analysis of enkanomiya 2nd battle ost "Undersea Encounter"
ahhhh music from the place between the world(teyvat) and abyss. truly mesmerizing
I know you probably heard this many times before but what you did @ 2:14 was simply beautiful. you have an amazing voice dude!
Aw! Thank you!
I know Sumeru is out and I do think it has some of my favorite tracks in the game with Port Ormos being my current favorite in the entire ost but Enkanomiya has my favorite battle themes. It's so unique and stands out to the main theme of the region it's for and it feel so otherworldly and grand. While I do agree that you have pretty much no reason to go back to Enkanomiya after you've finished everything there is, the battle theme definitely is a valid argument against that because it's so good. My argument also stand for the depths of the Chasm where the nail is because I love that song as well.
oooh yeeeees Enkanomiya OST! This place is my favorite aaaaaaaa ♥
Enkanomiya is such a different place from the rest of the game, I love it so much even though it is so lonely and lost.
It has it's own appeal, the wilderness OST there is hauntingly beautiful and moody.
Hey Marco, lately i have been bingewatching your videos and im loving it, but this might be out of your usual request, but I'd honestly would love to hear your thoughts about blue protocols main soundtrack, apparently iHeyl this might be out of your usual request, but I'd honestly would love to hear your thoughts about blue protocols main soundtrack, I'd honestly think it was underrated the same way as how pgr soundtracks are
enkanomiya does have interesting battle song, just like the chasm. personally i love both places' battle song. whenever i found mobs in those places i kind off dragged on the battle just to listen the music until it repeats. only then i kill the mobs.. haha
there is another string quartet battle theme that plays in the chasm, i think the name is "tremor of menace" - probably my favorite overworld battle theme
I think listening to this theme and the Liyue battle theme is a good contrast, because while the Liyue battle theme is more cinematic, the Enkanomiya battle theme is more personal.
In the Liyue battle theme, you get the sense that you're a general of a powerful army, watching the action from afar, getting reports from strategists, and making important decisions. Or perhaps you're simply a faraway spectator watching the clash of giant armies.
But in the Enkanomiya battle theme, you get the sense of a warrior's spirit, as if the music is scored from the perspective of one of the individual soldiers. To me, it's much more serious, and feels like it's grounded in technique and intention in the same way a warrior's movements are.
The motif at the beginning of the piece is an alarm, of sorts. A call to arms letting you know that it's time to defend your people.
The plucked strings give a sense of the light movements of a confident warrior, familiar with their armor and weapons, making short work individual enemies, but met with a seemingly endless onslaught of them.
The various motifs that are added as the piece develops give a sense of switching tactics or adjusting your grip on your weapon.
The vocalist that eventually comes in feels to me like when your body begins to tell you you're tired, but you keep in mind what it is you're fighting for, the loved ones at home you're fighting to protect, and you use that inspiration to fuel your warrior spirit.
Again, the Liyue battle theme feels like you're watching the battle, while the Enkanomiya battle theme feels like you're living it, and both themes are amazing for different reasons.
You need to try listening to “No Turning Back” one of these days. It’s from the same region in Genshin as this track, but it’s a remix of a track from the beginning of the game given new light with a completely new soundscape. I can’t describe it, it’s an experience in of itself.
If you want to listen to the original, non-remixed track, it’s “Beats of Water Drops.”
yep. this quartet piece was so unexpected. we used to hear full orchestral piece since this game started
Nice vid. I think you would like Swain's (League Of Legeds) theme. Keep the great work.
🙏
Finally you try to hear this piece of masterpiece from hoyomix can't wait you to hear another enka theme and don't forget the sumeru battle theme too especially the desert one since both are really different
This is one of the themes in genshin that just makes you stop for a second and just listen (like port ormos) because it's just so enticing
The addition of the breath also has a really stunning effect, like personally when I first heard it during battle I was feeling literally out of breath the immersion was incredible
Istg with more updates coming music just becomes better and better
And to think that Yu-Peng Chen manages Genshin OST, Honkai OST (iirc) and Star Rail OST... He ain't no human - that or he works 25h a day and 8 days a week and literally drowns himself in music. As fellow composer, I can't even begin to comprehend this man's productivity combined with quality of what he's doing
I love all of Genshin's soundtrack, but this is definitely one of my favorite! Such a beautiful piece!
This one is just one in many good sound tracks in Enkanomiya, there are still a lot more. Although it's dark and chill in here but this region probably is one of the best region in Genshin in terms of music.
I remember first entering that place... I literally put my Zhongli ' s shield and listened to the battle theme. Truly amazing
My favorite part about this is that this was almost entirely strings except for the vocals. It gets me excited because one Chasm battle theme also employs mostly strings and then that got other instruments added to it for the Chasm quest involving one of the Yaksha. I'm expecting this track to get a similar treatment in the future.
Reminds me a bit of the music in Divinity Original Sin 2 when you choose the chello as instrument during character creation. Basically most themes in the music are then played by the instrument one chose. It's kinda interesting and awesome.
