Sometimes it also helps that moisturizers are best applied when the skin is still a BIT damp (not wet though). Also helps prevent trans epidermal water loss.. 💞
By the way, I have decided to stick with Azelaic Acid instead of vitamin c, thanks to your suggestion! 💞 My skin seems to not agree with any vitamin c (or derivatives) serums.. But I also just discovered kojic acid and arbutin which are great for brightening! 💞 Hope you can also try the Hada Labo lotions (toners actually) soon! 💞

I know the most highly rated one is the Elta MD ones and my skin for some reason doesn't like it and I'm having a hard time finding a sunscreen that works for my oily & coloured skin. Please make an updated sunscreen and preferably on the drugstore line.

Have you tried the COSRX sunscreen yet? 🤔

In all honesty, in such a case, using a moisturizer might not be necessary. Instead, focus on finding the ideal sunscreen that suits your needs and feels comfortable on your skin. Additionally, if you tend to sweat heavily, opting for a mineral-based or waterproof sunscreen formula could be more beneficial.

Hey Melissa! I’m not sure if you are able to help with this but here’s my question. After I shave my face I usually wash right after with benzol peroxide face wash and after I apply clindamycin benzol peroxide gel to help eliminate the change of razor burn or ingrown hairs. Do you think this is excessive? Should I just use the wash and apply moisturizer after ? I have oily skin

Sorry, i'm not Melissa lol. But i think your moisturizer should go first before the benzoyl peroxide. Moisturizer - BP - Sunscreen.. Make sure to let each product absorb well..😊
Hello :) Since this is a gel, it goes before, but with a benzoyl peroxide cream, yes, use that one after the moisturizer as otherwise it will get smeary or you move it around. So the gel absorbs well into the skin, and if you wait 1-2minutes, it works well with that particular product since I have also used it and tried it for a while. And if you have the black BHA bottle, it may become irritating when used together with Benzoyl Peroxide too often. So it is probably best to alternate. Use one in the morning and the other in the evening or alternate days. But you need to figure out the right frequency for yourself; very hard to give you good advice for this. Play around and see what works best for you! :) And I am happy to help :)

Generally, no, practically, it depends significantly on the product you use. But they contain hydrating ingredients, which oily skin lags. So you really need to test it. For me, it works best without it! And when my skin becomes dryer, I skip all the treatments/products I use and wait; that usually solves the issue within 1-2 days. I just find that using moisturisers makes the situation worse no matter which one I use, especially after retinol or exfoliating acids!

Yes, you can apply a traditional moisturizer after. Just give the gel enough time to absorb into the skin. (maybe 1-2 minutes or a bit longer)

@@MelissaVanDijkOfficial actually I already practice the double cleanse using micellar water then cetaphil cleanser. But I’m seeing this cleanser which specifically in reducing acne so I’m asking I could add it in my routine 😁
What acne cleanser do you use?
