On day 3 of this trip we head up to Lake Bled before venturing right out to the far North-Western border as we ride up the amazing Trenta before crossing into Italy, where we pay a visit to Cave del Predil. From here we head into Austria and ride its Southern border before entering Slovenia again and home to our base in Brestanica.

PS ref your comment of cycling around the UK, I once cycled from Lands end to John O Groats back in 1993, I still do some pushbiking today but nowhere near as much as I used to do when I was 31 back in 1993:) Those where the days. Nationals :))

Going to Slovenia 🇸🇮 this June from the Uk 🇬🇧, 3 week road trip
I've not been in Slovenia since 2007. I went the opposite way from you up the Vrsic. I remember speaking to a wee old lady for ages in Cave Del Predil when I stopped to ask for directions (no GPS). She didn't speak a work of English but I think she was telling me how she lived in Kranjska Gora and pointed me in the direction of the Vrsic. I'm hoping to do it again this year.
Mint - I love just hitting the road myself and meeting locals as I go, brings a whole new element to the trip doesn’t it 👍

Magical as usual. I virtually ride down to Slovenia from Edinburgh almost every year of my life as I love the place so much. Hopefully by the end of 2022 I will be living there. Last trip there was in November aboard my new CB500X which is like a miniature Africa Twin. It was snowing galore so I was very glad to be on such a lightweight machine. You can see my clips on my channel and if I am living there soon then next time your down be sure to drop by for a coffee. Thanks for posting

I noticed those cobblestone roads, and was reminded when I took my motorcycle license: The town had cobblestones on all roads, and when they were wet in the autumn and covered with wet leaves they were anything but fun to ride on. You just didn't dare to lean the bike a single bit when rounding a corner.
Your ride here was a lot more entertaining to look at. Just keep it coming!

For the few of us that try to make motorcycle CZcams vids, this can be held up as an example of how to edit a vid. A long journey condensed into an interesting and fun film. Some of the views were just amazing.
You mention Daniel Hayes MDB, we were just watching him before your vid........ After 13 episodes he's still not made it to the tip of Australia. Maybe he needs some tips on editing👍

This small series just keeps on amazing! I've never been, I may never get there. But to see this part of the world through your camera lenses is wonderful.
Cheeky, making each of the episodes around ten minutes long. I find I want more each time.
So much that I could mention of Episode 4. I picked up on your comment about cycling the UK. You should do this! A little bit of preparation. With such a strong following you could even take donations for a chosen charity, or charities.

I did all the routes you have shown so far 2 years ago, definately an amazing area to visit. The country cross over areas are so full of fantastic roads.

@@teapotone without doubt it is an amazing area, I rode down from Amsterdam and toured Croatia, Slovakia, Slovenia and then got a ferry over to Italy and returned back to the UK after doing the route des grande alps.

No mate there are no issues at borders if you’re riding you’re own bike. The issue arises when you’re taking a bike in a van or trailer, such as a track bike etc - then you’ll need a carnet.
I don’t know the ins and outs of this so can’t advise I’m afraid. But if you’re just riding your own bike then it’s no problem👍

I think the views are ‘better’ anywhere around the Alpine regions overall - it’s greener and just more impressive in terms of mountain scenery.
I also like mountain riding, hence why I like the Pico’s and Canaries so much - you get some good mountain riding down in Andalucia, but not on the same scales as here in Slovenia/Italy/Austria/Switzerland etc
How do you get on with the Ruroc as I’m finding mine really noisy

Bit quicker as the roads aren’t as tight and knarly in Slovenia - but it’ll depend on the group as always
thats why bikes dont use autobahns in Germany they go way too fast 220+ is not comfortable on a bike with paks for hrs rare to see bikes they like th side roads

Please don’t cycle around the U.K. 😂 we don’t need anymore road lice, they’ve already got a chuffy on because they now have priority over cars, without insurance!
