I've been to Slovenia in October 2019. It's a marvellous country, fantastic landscapes, very friendly people and excellent food. And BTW, it's also very clean, no matter where you go. I just loved it...
Absolutely loved it Sir, I have been to Slovenia few times and loved it. We Rode there in 2016 and stayed in Lake Bled. I agree with you, found it clean and friendly. This is one of my favourite countries. Thanks for sharing. 👍👍👍
Lots more to come in this series Paul, thanks for watching and for stopping by!
Welcome to our beautiful country. Hopefully you enjoyed every kilometer here. Looking forward for next vlogs, especially from western part of Slovenia.
Only ever been to Slovenia in the winter. I learnt to ski in Kranska Gora in 1976 when it was still Yugoslavia. I took my son there in 1999 and 2000 when he was 3 and 4 because Slovenia was one of the few places they would take 3 year olds in ski school. Lovely country and lovely people, oh and fantastic value for money. Really looking forward to seeing the rest of this video
Stay tuned Del - lots more to come!
That was great TMF. What a lovely place. Worth looking into for a bike holiday.
Definitely recommended!
Looking out the window at 2 inches of fresh snow as I watch this. Rolling hills green grass blue sky...little jealous I must admit. Thanks for letting me live vicariously through your camera lens
Pa! We’ve got 2 feet of snow where I am!!
Great because you visited eastern Slovenia. It is less known, just as beautiful and almost without tourist crowds.
Looks very clean and green. Don't forget a little walk around the bike and your thoughts. Cheers 🇬🇧
I posted that a few weeks back - search for my vfr1200 review....
Looks nice and clean with not much traffic.
Thanks, looking forward to part two.
Stay tuned!
Skiing there is great too, in the winter ofc.. Beautiful country and lovely people.
Look like it will be a good tour by looks of the scenery looking forward next video 👍🏻
Cheers Paul, I’ve just posted the next episode, enjoy!
Those roads are perfect and what beautiful countryside. 👌🏻
I've been there couple of times as a kid since we were part of the same country and my old man was working there for a few years. You remember the old Yugoslavia... Slovenia was always just like Lithuania was in USSR, posh country and they mostly escaped the horrid war that followed. It's on my list to ride there, visit the place where my dad worked on a castle reconstruction, Slovenj Gradec. Beautiful place... Cheers!
Truly stunning. I have been looking forward to your Slovenia tour.......
Nice - what a beautiful ride!
Looks bleddy lovely! Certainly warmer and greener that the view from my kitchen window in Devon right now!,
Wow, what a fantastic looking ride - Definitely interested in checking out Martin's tours - thanks!
Beautiful scenery and doesn’t look run over with tourists. Looking forward to the Alps ride. 👍🏼 😎
Slovenia looks lovely and nice to see TMF On Tour once again. Looking forward to the rest of the series
Canadian here, with Slovenian Parents. Picked up my first motorcycle a few years ago and since then I've had riding through Slovenian and into the Alps as a Bucket List Goal. I'm very much looking forward to this series!
What a beautiful country that is! I will be watching the series.
Thank you for exposing Slovenia touring to us. Beautiful area to ride.
Well done sir very interesting as always ....stayed in lake Bled late 80s on a ski holiday , beautiful country and scenery to match the more popular ski country's.... Vogel was immense ....almost like a lunar landscape up top .....would be great to bike it ....so now I'm jealous 👌
Thanks for watching and for stopping by....
Not a place I would have thought to go, hope you hit the coast later on. Looks like a really tidy, no graffiti , pleasant country.
It is very clean and tidy - makes England look decidedly grubby!
Looks absolutely brilliant. Lovely quiet roads.
What a beautiful country!! Have to add it to my four wheel touring list! Great vid as ever Andy, looking forward to the next episode!!
It gets better this one Mick!
That's a treat to add to the bucket list, been hammering rain for days here. Only slightly jelly :) Happy new year!!
Looks fabulous and the roads seem fantastic. Love the coffee prices as well. Looking forward to the next vid👍
Stay tuned Martyn!
... and the coffees are STRONG 😉
Looks absolutely fantastic. I like the idea of a relaxed pace.
Me too!
Definitely a tour that would interest me, cheers TMF.
Had a holiday there last year, stunning country and very friendly people. Hope to go back to explore more.
Spot on with this one! On my growing list, thanks to you!
Can't say I know much if anything about Slovenia either. Interesting vid with regard to geography, culture, architecture & of course the roads! Looks great, a real undiscovered treasure.
It sure is! Stay tuned for much more to come!
What a great place, hardly any traffic, perfect. Really enjoyed it.
Cheers Ken - it just gets better this one too....
Been there, lovely country lovely folk.
Its the smallest of ex Yugo republics and neighbouring countries have planty to say about it, like:
"why blondes like living in Slovenia?
Cos its the only country they cant get lost in."
"If entire Slovenia was underwater it would have been the smallest lake in the world".
Slovenian sea is so small that Slovenians jump in one by one".
"Why did Slovenia enter EU? Because austrians needed parking spaces".
"How Slovenians measure motorbike acceleration? 0-to border" ... etc :-)
Joking aside, definitely one the nicest places I have ever been to, lovely people and stunning scenery, highly recommended.
Thanks for the vid.
Look at that....nice one!
Good video and great scenery. Look forward to the next episode.
Same time next week Lyn....
Welcome to SLOVENIA TMF.My country and enjoy.save trip and take care.
I'm in. Brilliant intro to Slovenia many thanks.
Did Slovenia last year on the way to Croatia and back and it was the hidden gem of the 7 countries we visited
Yes Danny I agree, a real hidden gem this one, I can’t wait to get back!
TheMissendenFlyer I’ve also done a Canary Tour day trip with Martin on your recommendation. Love the channel keep up the good work sir.
I'm going to give this a like now and watch it on the big screen later with the Mrs. We've already booked this tour after being looked after so well by Joy and Martin in Gran Canaria.
You’re going to love it BM!
Another outstanding quality video. Really enjoying aspects of Europe through these tours of yours!
Great!
Slovenian landscape is amazing, their roads and villages in the hills and mountains are heaven to ride. I live not so far from Slo border, in Pula, Croatia. You should do a tour along Adriatic coast down to Tara Canyon.
Maybe next time 😉 - loved riding there, great country, great food, great people....just great really!
Awesome bud I love all your touring vids
Have a great ride andy, looks like a lovely place
It's interesting to see someone else ride the roads I know by heart. I live very close to Brestanica and have ridden most of the roads in Slovenia. I hope you have/had a wonderful time in Slovenia!
Oh yes - it was a great trip - you’re a lucky chap to have such a wonderful country!
Beautiful.
Brits are spoiled for choice when touring. Living on an island (albeit the largest island on the planet) I have a long and expensive flight to anywhere. I would never have imagined that Slovenia was so beautiful. Thanks TMF for this great vid.
Thank you for watching as ever - loads more to come and this trip gets better and better!
The largest island is Greenland.
We were with Canary tours April last year and will definitely be trying Slovenia this year with them
You'll have a top time!
Loved the sweeping curves and beautiful veiws with very little traffic .Nice smooth V4 ... .Really what more can one ask for
Agreed!
I Love your enthusiasm for paper maps ! Reminds me of Austin Vince. Good stuff ....
Looks like the bucket list pick up an additional entry or 3.
Happy New Year TMF! ✌🏻💗🇨🇦
Been skiing there many years ago in Kranska Gora. First time I skied actually. Lovely place.
Nice to see a tour again.
Just finished watching the latest LCR tour episode in Greece and I'd have to say the scenery and roads look very appealing, with long days in the saddle which I like. Horses for courses I suppose
I look forward to your next episode 👍.
Been looking forward to the Slovenian videos and you haven’t disappointed. 👍
They get much better yet!
Great video Andy, I’ve heard great things about Slovenia and the riding.
Enjoy the recce and helping put together some awesome rides.
Stay tuned Mike it gets better and better!
Will do mate. Hopefully you can get yourself down here 🇦🇺 to us at some point
Just watched all episodes back to back, probably the closest you will get to riding at this sad time C-19.....Pure wanderlust 👍great job TMF
Glad you enjoyed it Chris!
Great video of a beautiful riding country, really handy that you checked the cost of food and drink etc 👍
Just watched this whole series. What a great place to ride a bike! Stunning views. Thanks for sharing a great trip. Off to watch the Thailand trip now! 👍🏻
Cheers Justin - enjoy!
Of course, I watched these vlogs at the time. But today I have just booked for June 2022 and so watching again (and will no doubt do so numerous times over the coming months!). Joy has been super helpful and I cannot wait to go on this tour. 😀
You’ll love it Grant - defo something to look forward too...
Looks like an awesome place to ride, reminds me a little bit of Croatia which is a fantastic country to explore by bike. Thanks for the video
Yes very similar - we ride into Croatia in a later episode....
Slovenia is a beautiful country, in fact the whole of former Yugoslavia is. Bosnia was a real surprise for me
Yes I'd like to go there some day...preferably on a bike!
@@TheMissendenFlyer I did through Boznia into Montenegro, Albania, Greece, then back through North Macedonia, Serbia, Bulgaria and Romania. 3 weeks, all on my own :-) None of my mates can hack it.....
Based in Austria. Hoping to do the Slovenian TET as soon as spring has sprung!
Was in Slovenia 2 years back with some other chaps from Hertfordshire, had a lovely trip. Got the bikes on a train from Düsseldorf to Austria, then Slovenia, Croatia, Italy and back to Germany. - what to do this year,!? 👍😎
Direct train? How much was it for the bike and a seat for urself?
Nice to see another TMF tour!
Loads more to come on this one - stay tuned!
I love your touring vlogs more than anything else on the channel TMF - and this one has the promise of being another classic.
Did a trip from Sofia (Bulgaria) to Volos (Greece) in 2018 and the friendliness, cleanliness and sheer stunning scenery was amazing... The food and expecially the beers were dirt cheap and varied... Looking forward to the next episode
Yes top value place for sure....
👍 Enjoyable video, looking forward to the rest of the series.
CMT do bring tours at a great price point
Agreed!
Nice to see quality roads with quality views. Not something we get very often in the UK.
I've been subscribed for about 2 years now and I don't even ride a bike, I just love your content! Keep it going mate.
Thank you very much!
Last time I was out there it was still Yugoslavia and hire cars were Yugo's. which were an interesting drive. Lovely people and some great sites to visit.
Beautiful looking country :).was 1st to break away from old Yugoslavia and it's where Akrapovic exhausts come from, that is my total knowledge of Slovenia!
I had been thinking that it reminded me of parts of Switzerland an there you go, you said the same thing. And southern Poland, Krakow and down towards the Tatras mountains area is very similar with it being so close to where you are. .... Now there's a nice idea for a TMF tour series.
1st visit last year. Loved it. Returning this year and continuing down to the Adriatic highway to Dubrovnik and Kotor. Can't wait.
It is currently an undiscovered gem.
Make sure you take your insurance green card with you as Montenegro is not in the EU. Waited at the border crossing for an hour in 35 degree heat while everyone had to go and buy insurance at a little office next to crossing ,although only cost 10 euros for bike.
@@iandowe8144 And neither will the UK after 31st Jan 2020.
I went in the early 1990s just as the Bosnian wars were kicking off and it was untouched not only by tourism buy any commercialism or development.
Always love your touring videos!
Love your touring vids, and what a beautiful country 👌 can't think of a better way to see the world than on a motorcycle.
You should come on out to New Zealand some time, you'll love it here I'm sure 😁.
Cheers for the great content and a happy new year to you 👍
It’s top of my bucket list!
Great video TMF, thank you for introducing CMT 🌞🌴
You’re welcome!
Excellent, looking forward to the rest of the tour and your thoughts on the big Honda, love to go to Slovenia someday.
It is a wonderful place to ride and great value too....what’s not to like?
A pretty part of the world, hardly a flat road anywhere. I've been to Slovenia a number of times, even when it was still part of the Yugoslavian entity. It was easily the most "Western" member of the Yugoslav group of nations. I recall one year riding from Austria through the Slovenian Alps in winter, down to Zagreb. That was a real eye opener.
You may recognise a lot of this tour series then 😉
Looks like a good tour TMF, there are so many great places to ride in Europe. Roll on Spring!! Cheers, Steve
Can’t come soon enough as far as I’m concerned!
@@TheMissendenFlyer czcams.com/video/qAvRkh1tl8U/video.html And roll on more of this! Cheers, Steve
Very good video 👍 Tmf .very interesting video good first one .thanks from Danny
Thanks Danny!
Came so close to Slovenia on my last trip to Austria but ran out of time. I must sort that out before you make it popular. Really looking forward to the rest of this series.
I’m doing the tour in May can’t wait
wow, look at those gains! last time i watched you had like 30k subscribers :D keep it up man. Goes to show that u bring the quality ;) more to come in 2020
Greetings from Slovenia, great video ;)
What an amazing country you have!
Think I'll be booking this up for next year. Looks amazing.
It is!
Another great video on my way tomorrow to get a the full kit of RST adventure gear from sportbikeshop
Your Right mate 24 degrees is PERFECT riding weather in Aus. We have had a VERY hot summer here so far with lots of fires that proberly have that area of Slovenia ( and some of our best mountion riding areas. 2 days ago we had a 46 degree day were I live .
Yes been watching those fires on the news here - awful....best of luck mate!
@@TheMissendenFlyer thanks mate havent been able to see the sky for around 2 weeks , Around 2000 houses losted, 20 deaths , and around 1/2 billion native animals ,birds etc. and thats not including farmers stock lossers of cattle, shep ,horses and there dogs and other pets.
Love Slovenia. Riding there again in May, this time on my Yamaha Townmate (yes, it will take 8 days but I have plenty of time). Planning to do the Russian Road as well.
Sounds like fun....enjoy!
TMF.. 24 degs is cold... Last Saturday in Sydney it was 42 degs. On top of that we had smoke in the city from all the Bushfires. It wasn't a pleasant day! But the views in your video of Slovenia look fantastic. It's on the bucket list. Thanks 😀
It was minus six where I am at the moment yesterday! (Before you ask I’m in the French Alps skiing 😉).....good luck down there!!
@@TheMissendenFlyer You are so lucky, I love snow skiing. I skied in Ramsau, Austria a few years ago.. Such a beautiful mountain area for skiing... Enjoy your trip 😀
Finally a new tour! Slovenia is a lovely country (close to mine and with somewhat similar language) and I've actually been riding through it just a few months ago when I was taking my EU trucker's exam. Obviously, I've only ridden to and from Ljubljana but I took the scenic route through the country rather than the motorway and I loved it. Looking forward to seeing more of Slovenia, even if only on my computer screen (for now haha). I definitely plan to take a nice, extensive tour of Slovenia as soon as I'm setup there (to work for a Slovenian trucking company). Btw, the way you pronounce Ljubljana is hilarious! lol :D
Yes sorry about that - I expect my pronounciation will get worse yet!!! Apologies in advance!
so much world to see
Looks absolutely lovely. Widened my European motorcycling horizons once more. I must say I’ve been to three ex eastern block countries and they are all interesting places. Thanks TMF 👍😀
Thanks for watching John!
just for the sake of accuracy, Slovenia (Yugoslavia) wasn't part of the Eastern bloc.
Still bouncing around the older videos. As this one was filmed about a year ago... I'm am really enjoying watching this. I hope Martin is managing during this time as well as David (PETER!) and the gentleman who runs the hotel.
Yes they're out in Slovenia running tours now - I've been following on social media...give 'em a call!
Nice Visorcat! Cheers mate.
Poor David/Peter xD Nice video, going to Rovinj in Croatia this summer. Beautiful and very historically dense parts of europe that!
Hi, welcome to Slovenia. If you need any info I am glad to answer you. Have fun.
Thank you!
Beautiful part 1, the Honda VFR 1200X Crosstourer sounds great
Yes who doesn’t love the sound of a V4!
Great place of the world. Same with Istria Peninsula.
But don't drink Rakija on the bike, save that for end of day! :)
Lake Bled is a stunning location.
Stay tuned for my visit to Bled!
