    Things sure have changed over there. I had my own private room and shared a west side Unit with one other in the 12/13 season.
    Left town six years ago due to lack to secure and sustainable housing

    What sort of questions were you asked to answer on you accomodation application? And when did you find out you were going to be in Westside? Just had my interview with WB and planning to head over in November, so grateful for all your videos!! 🥰

      Basically once you get accepted for a job then you have to ‘apply’ for housing and just get asked basic stuff about your schedule so that you get paired with similar people! But you don’t hear about your housing until much later in the process! So it’s kind of stressful. If your manager offers you a spot in housing then it’s basically guaranteed but you still have to go through the steps to ‘apply’.
      We found out about our housing in late September!
      So exciting for you! Good to see you’re getting it all organised now! :)

      Hey! How did you get your interview so early? I'm planning to come around the same time too!

    Do you work for the fairmont in Whistler? I’m moving there in 3 weeks and haven’t heard much about housing.

      No I don’t! I work for the mountain. I think some Fairmount staff live in the Glacier Lane staff housing though if that helps!

    Hi, how much minimum rental in staff housing?

    • @caitlinjanet_
      @caitlinjanet_  Před 2 měsíci +1

      Glacier staff housing is around $180 a fortnight I think, which is amazing for Whistler! I pay more for my location :)

    What job are you working at the mountain? If you don’t mind me asking.

    How long in the evening does the bus run for? Could you go out in whistler in the evening then get the bus back?

    • @caitlinjanet_
      @caitlinjanet_  Před rokem +1

      Definitely! It runs till like 2-3AM. And there is a whistler Uber service called whistle/taxis which run till late as well. Best option is to get a 6 month bus pass. But if you’re staying out late, it’s important that someone knows where you are, you have a light on you for cars and that you have warm clothes.. for winter especially.

    are you allowed to have pets

    • @caitlinjanet_
      @caitlinjanet_  Před 11 měsíci +1

      No I don’t think so! You’ll be out a lot working and having fun so wouldn’t be a place for a pet :)
