I also didnt know you could pick up shells until playing through the game 12 years later.....
I remember seeing his name multiple times in all the games I played as a kid. I would pay attention to the names in the credits and I would see his name and think: “Hey! It’s that guy again!” Not knowing what actual role he played in assisting the development. Nowadays, though, being an adult and fully aware of his role, it’s insane how big of an impact he had, not only in Nintendo but gaming as a whole. I miss the guy, and will never forget his contributions to gaming and for just being such a lovely guy. :,)
@@rubberwoody I think I was also talking about the games that came during that time period, sorry for confusing you. also sidenote; man time flies fast.
I used to play this game in 2009/2010, I remember I used to beat Bowser's last castle all the time just so I could watch the credits, specially to listen to the part at 2:20 - 3:00. I used to find it so good, and I still do
I remember the first time beating that last castle, and I just decided to use a mega mushroom on bowser and bowser jr. I did that, and this song was rewarding for it 😊
SAME, i remember how happy i was, its really one of my favorite mario games along with mario kart ds and sm64ds, as a side note, world 8 really got me a few times thinking i was over with it
I finished this game in the hospital. I was 6 years old and my grandmother was dying of small cell lung carcinoma. She had lived a good and long life for 83 years. She had beat a cancer that kills people in 6 months 15 years prior. But it relapsed and metastasized, and it was pretty clear by this point there was nothing we could do. I couldn’t understand that at the time, so her death crushed me. This game will always be special to me for that reason. As I finished this game, another piece of me grew up. I lost the game some years ago, but it always reminds me of her, and how good of a person she was.
I will miss the simple chip tunes of the older systems. They had their own charm to them, one that can’t be replicated with the music of more modern games. They especially worked for these end credit themes in which their simplicity gave them this sort of bittersweet happiness after you finish your adventure.
I beat it too recently i have played world 8- mid tower 2 and i cried bruh. It was soo hard also dis was challenge so no 1 up houses nor mega mush u only collect lives using coins im about to finish with 8-bowser ;)

Oh, and another video of these lovely credits! I can remember when I was young i finished this game again and again and I was so satisfied when I could listen to this damn great music ... and what a feeling it was seeing those memorable pictures of recent adventures in this game. Just wonderful!
this was the first mario game I've ever had in my entire life and it will forever be my favorite. Recently while moving across the country it disappeared and that broke my heart because I had that cartridge ever since I was 5. *And I also had 5 stars on each file.* Still, I'm looking for a new one to restart my adventure and live on the memories. :,)
I think this is my favourite 2D mario game in the entire franchise, all of the levels were so unique and designed so well i never felt like i was just playing the same level over and over like how some other 2D mario games made me feel while playing them. thank you nintendo for giving us DS players an incredible experience to remember forever
Still remember listening to that song and bowser Jr. dragging bowser, and pressing those letters to make noices, god I loved this game, I still have my DS and the game card inside from when I last played, might go back to it and we those sharks which I still somehow remember, the game may be old but guess what, it's gold 👌🏻
my perfect day as a kid was playing this game on the bus or at the beach then going home to play some mario kart wii or wii sports resort with my friends and family. I miss being a kid where the only thing that felt important was what you were doing at that exact moment and games felt more special and mysterious. The Wii and the DS hold some of my favorite memories and so many good times, I would pay so much money to spend just one day as a kid again.
