    Underrated explanations. Every video I see says " Just turn on quality score, exp ctr, blah, blah, etc." but they never explain what those things actually are. I need to understand why I'm doing things, not just how to do things. This video was awesome for that. Can't wait to explore the rest of your channel!

    2 questions
    1. Why would you want to increase your cost per click?
    2. Does location level bid optimization work when the campaign is running on smart bidding?

      1)If your seeing conversions for a keyword then increasing your CPC can get you more clicks. When you know a keyword works, spending more can help you beat out competitors.
      2) You can still set your locations even when using smart bidding so yes.

    Thanks for the video! Can I ask how many ad groups should you have per campaign? If you have multiple keyword themes, I would imagine it's best practice to have multiple ad groups so that you're able to make the keywords as relevant as possible to the ad copy (to avoid low quality score). But how many ad groups is too many? Would this cause the AI to allocate more budget towards only the top performing ad groups and little to nothing for the others?

      Great question - 7 would be the max for a campaign. As you mentioned it's possible for the AI to miss allocate the budget and 7 can help ensure that the budget isn't spread too thin. You've got this!

    This was suuuuppppeerr helpful!! I have a list of ideas to implement. I want to dig more into ad copy optimizations. When setting up my campaigns I used Responsive search ads. While it's easy to create, I'm not sure how to optimize them. Did I set up the wrong kind of ads? Or is there a better strategy? Thank you!

      Happy to help, and awesome it gave you some other ideas for optimization!
      In terms of optimizing your responsive search ads semicolon there's not a whole lot we can do anymore 😑... But what you can try is pinning a different headline and position one and then have the other forehead lines the same and see which one does better. Far from perfect, but at least you'll know which headline and position one gives you the best performance and you can move forward from there. 🔥

    Interested in your google ads builder optimiser $25 , but the info is so rapid and difficult to grasp why this is so helpful. I'm doing my first ads and after watching many CZcams videos it's very confusing and now after you video, feels like I, up against professionals. Ahhhhh does everything have to be so dam hard. I need only 10 customers a week, not ,uch

    Google says bid adjustments are for manual bidding only. Smart bidding does optimisations on its own...are your bidding adjustment suggestions for maual bidding /or maximize click/ only? I don't think this makes much sense for maximize conversions, target roas or cpa... second question: as it happens for increasing or decreasing bids, do you have to do it little by little as it happens in budget optimisation?

      Start with manual so you can find the keywords/ad combos that work - then get fancy with the automated bidding.
      For the bid changes that's a tough one - normally I go little by little unless I know the keyword is really good or really bad

      Your budget should be equal at the start to see which campaign is performing best. Then when you find one that's working put 40 - 60% of your budget towards that while you keep testing others to find more options that convert.

      Not sure I follow... You'll want to pause the ad groups, keywords and locations that aren't getting as good results

    How many keywords per adgroup? is there a limit?

      You can have as much as you want, but I recommend a max of 7. Remember that the more keywords you have per ad group, the less targeted your ad copy and the harder it is to optimize your click through rates

    If you have a smart bid optimization for a campaign bid adjustments don’t do anything. Google just wants you to think you have more control

      True; once you use CPA or Target ROAS they begin to ignore the other settings to focus on the conversion
