I use c-3. That is the only wax I’ve ever used so I’ve worked out my issues with it. Temp and a little less fragrance oil has helped.

There’s really no such thing as the “best wax” it’s down to preference really.
Hi there, the sinkholes might be caused by your wick not being taut enough when you pour. Try winding them on a lolly stick after you have poured, just be careful not to rip the whole wick out, which I have done plenty of times 😆 hope this helps x

I always get beautiful smooth creamy tops with this wax, but it does give slight minor wee little cracks on some of them… it’s usually right next to the wick, so I’ve been told it’s from the wick moving during, or after pouring the wax etc. So I’m trying to tweak that. I have noticed I usually only get cracks when I use cotton wicks. My wood wick ones are always flawless. Which would make sense that the wick is sturdy and not creating air or movement in the wax as it cools like a wobbly cotton wick does sometimes.
Hi I am having a hard time with the C3 causing glass adhesion issues. Although, it’s such an amazing wax that provides a awesome hot throw. Glass adhesion is my biggest issue!
Glass adhesion issues is something we all face! For me, the temperature of the room is very important! My candle making room is the hottest in the house for that reason! When the wax cools too quickly, it separates from the glass.
I use C-3 exclusively for melts. It holds a great fragrance and has wonderful throw. You do need a full 2 week cure. I use a coco soy blend for candles.
How are you liking your coco soy blend? I hear such good things about it!

I just found your video. My shipment of C3 came in and I have no experience with it, so that was really helpful, thanks! I was wondering, what kind of wicks have you had luck with in your C3 candles? I've only been working with paraffin up until this point and it's kind of a different animal. Thank you.

Hi Ashley. I've been experiencing the same issues with the c3 wax. Do you have problems with so many bubbles when burning? I have lots of them and when I blow the candle out and it hardens back it looks horrible.
A common occurrence with soy wax is that after burning, the tops are not attractive. In my experience, it cannot be prevented! How does the candle burn? Good ht? ct?
Damn I’m a beginner and this is the first Wax I’ve used! I have sink problems around the wick only? What would cause this?
When you pour this wax, it should be a little cooler than 165. It should help with sink holes. Try pouring around 158 or so. If you pour too hot, the sink holes occur!
Try keeping them insulated for a while after, pour them and keep them in cardboard boxes
I have had a read through all the comments and cant see how hot you initially heat the wax to?
I see a fragrance add of between 180-185 and to pour at around 158.

I heat my wax to about 190-195, I have a presto pot so it varies.
I heat mine to 88c/190f too. Works fine for me. 👍
I've experienced the same with my c3 wax. so many sink holes . I'm also having a hard time wick this wax

Have you tried warmer room temperature or pouring at a lower temp?
@@ashleygreenn omg I’ve done everything…. I even have a separate room I put them in at 80 F and I hear my glasses I can’t get away from sinkholes or bubbles I’m so sad over it
Try pouring at 160f / 71c pour very slowly. Also use a steel spoon 🥄 not wooden when stirring. The eco lux wicks work well. 👍 hope this helps.
I use the Eco series wicks with this wax and they burn great 👍🏻
I am having the same problem with my wax, every pour has a wee problem 😭😭 which temperature do you pour your FO??
I pour at 180-185!
@@ashleygreenn That hot?? I heat mine to that temp but after 2 mins of stirring the oil it drops to maybe 165 and then I pour. I get cracking on ALL my candles so have to hear gun all of them (haven't found a solution to avoid that) and I just gave up on the jar adhesion by getting opaque containers lol Thanks so much for your video, you're right, there aren't many about C3 so it was great to find yours 😉
@@MimiBondi That's the temperature I pour in my FO. Once I add it, the temp drops significantly. I try to pour into the jars at around 158 or so to avoid sinkholes (the cracking I don't mind as much).
@@ashleygreenn ah fair enough! Sorry yes, I also pour my FO around that temp. The cracking is easily fixed nut wouldn't it be nice to get it perfect first go? Only way is to double pour - Thats more work lol
Hello I'm kinda new to container candles, can you tell me what type of wicks are best for C3? I've been testing with some CD wicks and I'm getting a burning candle smell that I don't usually get with my pillar candles
I use Eco Wicks! I’ll be posting a wick testing video on Thursday where I test out some CD wicks!
