- 🖤Hello everyone 🖤
I am reviewing the CARGILL C-6 NATUREWAX in today's video. Were going to talk about the consistency of the wax, the properties of it while melting and I'm going to show y’all some different outcomes with different heating temps, pouring temps, and using additives like vybar and coconut oil as well as some of the not-so-wanted cauliflower tops, clumpy tops and my advice on this predicament.
I buy mine from Lonestar Candle Supply here in Texas. I am so grateful to live only 1 hour away, I know most people live too far to drive from a candle supply store, and shipping fees are a nightmare!
Let me know in the comments what yall's favorite wax is & why! I love trying new waxes ☺️

Remember also that by blending candles with soy, paraffin and coconut you get a lot of the benefits from each one in eliminate a lot of the negatives. Too many people are focused on trying to make a natural candle. It all depends on who your customer is. Many makers label as "soy blended candle" which means that it's probably made with 51% soy and the rest is probably paraffin. Most people that burn candles don't care they just want to candle that looks nice and smells good. The overwhelming number of candles on the market today contain at least some amount of paraffin because even 20% can really improve a candle and eliminate frustrations
Ultrawax by general wax and candle in north hollywood is believed to be 80/20 soy/coconut so if you add enough paraffin so it's 20% youd have 64% soy, 20% paraffin and 16% coconut. That is a nice blend!
I have so much to learn. You make it easy for Me to get it. Thank You. Much LOVE
😆🥰 you’re welcome! Much love to you too dear!
Thank You. You are So great. How You explain things is Awesome.
That’s so nice of you to say! 😊 I’m so glad
I noticed this happened to me when I poured at high temperatures, currently have been experimenting coco soy c6 and I find if you let it cool down to 140F and add 8-9% fragrance load and stir for 2-3 mins and then add to candle jar around 130F. Hope this helps. You will need to use heat gun to smooth the tops if need be.
Hi love you video please tell me l am going to try your formuler 70/30. Is that 70 c6 and 30 parafin
Vybar is a polymer. It's hard and feels like plastic but it isn't. It can really improve a candle!
6006 is 70%paraffin and 30% soy. C6 is 90% soy 10%coconut so your totals by mixing the two 50/50 are 60% soy, 34% paraffin and 5% coconut
try coco apricot creme wax it will give you that smooth top
How does c 6 compare to c 3?
Can I recommend not using vybar or coconut oil?....you don't need to add either. Also if you add the wrong vybar, you're actually going to make your candles come out worse. If youre not adding more than 10% FO, you don't need any additives with c6. Heat to 195, add your FO immediately, stir and pour between 165 and 170...you'll get smooth tops, and smooth burns everytime
I bet you are right, I actually switched from C6 wax a few months ago, but Its a great wax. I noticed the candles I made with no additives were really great, I was trying to go for a very strong HT, I now know that having too strong of a CT actually drives some buyers away! Who would have thunk it 🤪
@@EclipseBotanica yoaaa. To which wax did you switch? And also which wax is actually your favorite for good CT&HT. Im looking for vegetables wax only. But I have no clue which one I should test next.
Adding the fragrance at 195 will burn the FO, am I right?
Three smaller wicks worked best for me in tins
Ive ever tried 3 before... what kind do you use?
Cd wicks with GW 476, nor far away from each other, like a triangle
Ive never seen anyone do that! I bet your hot throw is AMAZING
After 6-8 weeks with GW 464 hot throw is azmazing with strong oils like chocolate, cinamon or lavendel.
Oh wow Ive never tried a chocolate fragrance, I bet that's lovely
Have any customers complained about the cauliflower tops after burning?
I actually switched waxes, so I don’t have the cauliflower issue anymore 😢 so sorry I couldn’t be of more help
@@EclipseBotanica okay. What wax are you using now?
I use a mix of coco83 and GB 444 🤍 it works really well for me!
@@EclipseBotanica okay nice! Thanks for sharing
Ofcourse! 😊
