- Fire team Kilo has been deployed to the crash site of High Charity. Mission briefing is to recon and extract a covenant data artefact from within the vessel.
Flood threats imminent.
Operation: Charity Falls is a short mini series based off the Halo franchise, set around the times of Halo wars 2 and Halo infinite. Each episode will be around 1 minute to 2 minutes long, with cool action, awesome visuals and hopefully a compelling short story.

@@dannylopez5482 How do you mean realistic donation haha? Anything is realistic man, any form of donation helps towards the project! :) Episode 2 is full steam ahead right now, (literally every free hour i have i'm working flat out on it). It's going to be better than episode 1 thats for sure!

Ik how does one person make something so graphically advanced and an entire company make the crappiest game I've ever seen.
David Meraz he uses 3d models from the game and makes his own 3d models for everything else, then he probably uses 3ds max or blender to set everything up. It’s not as hard as you think but it’s a lot of work. Something like this would take 2-6 months to make I think
David Meraz takes a lot more work to make a game engine from scratch and make the lighting and models work properly along with the optimization and tons upon tons coding steps they have to take

Right now we've only seen one, but i've not decided yet. It depends on where i want to take the story - i know fireteams are generally more than 1 spartan, but who knows, maybe the others came in a different entrance point? Or maybe they're MIA.
I cannot express how awesome it is to see Halo community content like this.

The sound of him walking gives it so much weight and makes him appear menacing which is actually very important to underline his powerful appearance. Wish this was in the older Halo games.

@@EMoney0527 I think the dev team is very talented, and the company is quite prestigious. However, I also think they have suffered from significant mismanagement. From what I've seen so far, that's (mostly) changed.

This is so MUCH BETTER than the Paramount+ Halo series, there's no convoluted subplots, no annoying girls and no dumb moments. Just straight up Master Chief action done properly. The tone in these episodes is what Halo should be.

I love how the door opens (Speaking of which that had a surprising weight and mass) and it's just a disease cloud of flood spores.

Just a nitpick, I know the heavy steps adds presence and power to the spartan but they are also incredibly agile and deliberate and I think making their steps more stealthy would add more to their characterization overall.

I’ll never forget the mission in Halo 2 where you meet the flood for the first time. The game flips from first person shooter to horror game in seconds, and this series captures that feeling of creeping dread perfectly 👌

Wow! This is why I love fan projects! So much love and passion was put into this!
Animation is easily industry standard for high quality film animation, very well done. Absolutely stunning, damn well spot on lighting. Most of the audio was really good too, but personally I wasn't a big fan of the footsteps; The Spartan sounds like they're not paying attention to their movement, which at the beginning of the walk cycle towards the door is probably true based off their body posture and clear distaste of just where exactly they were about to be going. But it sounds almost like they're walking a deckplate as soon as the spartan gets out of the warthog onto the (Dirt? Grass? Stone? Lighting just below the warthog makes it hard to tell.) And as the Spartan walks to the door, it just sounds a bit too pronounced. I do realize that Mk IV weighs 1000 pounds, but it's not applied all at once unless their feet have both lost contact with the ground. Spartans can do quiet, and they do that very well by distributing their weight slowly. Which is why when the Spartan starts entering High Charity, weapon raised, and still clonking loud enough to alert anything inside...
I think if the sound was quieter, and *there was some slight ambient noise* of the forest so the audio focus isn't solely on the Spartan's... Soles... It'd fit better. Also I think there's a literary mistake at 0:21, did you mean indeterminable? Incontestable doesn't make sense in that usage. Just a couple nitpicks, but I offer my constructive criticism so you can learn as much from this as possible. You damn well deserve to, I can see the effort put in this. I really liked the camera work... Not to mention all of the modeling I damn well know you did. This is a love letter to Halo, and I love it. I'm very excited to see what's next.
All good notes! Glad you liked it, there's been a few comments about the footsteps, which i agree on and itll be adjusted for future episodes. To be honest, i didnt think too hard on the wording - incontestable means "not able to be disputed" which i thought was fitting, maybe gramatically it might not make sense but all things considered it's only a minor mistake. Episode 02 will be better i hope!
