Also, I'm pretty sure energy sword battery consumption is exaggerated for the games, the same way plasma damage is downplayed for most NPCs.

How kind of Arbiter to declare he won't be spared then proceed to throw his own sword away after gaining the upper hand, then again not finish Chief off after ragdolling him.

For one, this isn't true to the books or the game.
Two, the Mjolnir armor didn't come with shields initially. It was upgraded by Dr Halsey's team just before starting on a mission to capture a prophet and when she inserted the Cortana AI into Master Chief's Mjolnir specifically.

Dude I started to cry big time when he was mortally wounded and begged for an honorable death. I’ve been playing the games since CE came out when I was 16 and I am so emotionally attached to these characters. I always cried when I played the games, too. I haven’t played past 4 tho cuz adulting stopped my gaming life like 12 years ago or something, but I that deep rooted love for these characters runs deep! I hope people stop complaining because I want this show to go full circle and never get cancelled!

The dude genocide the planet of reach in name of the great journey, killed Spartan Vannak. He had it coming. The arbiter wasn’t no thel vaddam. The Chief dished out what he deserved. It was a harm with no foul other then vannak plus reach was always a set piece ☠️

This fight was everything . I just finished season 2 . Seeing the Flood . Gave me chills!!
The arbiters death was such a missed opportunity to have them unite in a meaningful way out of mutual respect. He wasn’t even a part of the covenant anymore either, it could have worked.
Remember that Arbiter is not a name, is a "rank" position to a warrior. Also remember our loved arbiter's name is Thel 'Vadam. This arbiter on netflix series is Var 'Gatanai.

Not to mention in halo infinite , the master chief shows respect for his enemies after they’ve killed his spartan brothers. If anything the arbiter from the halo games was much worse, and chief has way more of a reason to refuse his help.

Overall im happy we get a scene like this and whom ever worked on it bravo ! ❤ i have a one or two things that i cant look beyond....why TF do we get to see chiefs chest heaving for breath when in the lore for a spartan 2 to even shrug in that armour took serious strenght..
The camera angles are amazing and gives you a great sense of the weight and power of the two warriors but also if chief hit an organic matter face like a sanghelli with 2 or 3 unblocked punches to the face/skull....the face or skull would not be recognisable...

To everyone talking sh*t about the show, watch it start to finish and you’ll realise it’s actually a good story. It’s off topic to the game but I couldn’t stop myself from watching, tons of action and good acting. Each opinion to their own.

I get so many mixed feelings with this show, I don't like that they made this alternate universe of Halo... but I still enjoy the fact that this is some version of Master Chief facing off against the arbiter..... which any halo fan; would think of as BADASS.

Sadly no, the vast majority of us are not to crazy about it. As is quite very clear. I mean sure, the idea itself is cool as hell, and what we wanted. But then think…we also wanted a Halo show, and we instead got…something that if it had any other name it would probably be fine as a show.

- with how they did the
suspense of upcoming Flood attacks
- the close up battles on Reach
- the Master Chief facing an Arbiter and beating him
- Guilty spark with whole new look and clear voice

Another thing about the chief, he wasn’t picked because he was strongest, or smartest. He was chosen because he had bravery but most importantly, luck.

This looked awesome, really showed the elites how they should be. Super scary. Two feet taller than a human, 700 pounds, suited up full armor and shields that can soak up dozens of bullets, and they insist on getting up close and personal. They're also strong enough to ragdoll master chief in full armor
I don't think average Elite is anywhere close to the average Spartan. This Arbiter is basically their best, so can claim to be as good as MC.
The fight scene was awesome but I hate the camera view. I wonder why the director use such method. Spinning here n there, cant hardly see the fight at all. Season 1 final fight was the best!
I think they're trying to hide some of the cgi jank. It's a common way of covering up mistakes.
I would’ve loved to see MC do the ninja technique (jump over the charging enemy and melee them in the back) it would’ve been a fun way to reference the game this movie is based upon.

I have to say, at least they actually got the motion right. Chief is fast as lightning but the Elite looks incredibly strong without looking like a clumsy savage.
While the average ellite is stronger, remember we are dealing with their best soldier, the Arbiter vs MC. I think he'd pummel multiple other elites at once.

I didnt know Chief killed an arbiter but this was too emotional to watch from my perspective. It seem like Chief wanted to still spare Var Gatanai's life still but the Arbiter was too stubborn that he wanted Chief to end his life.

They really humanized our BOI chief beyond recognition, the only person who should’ve been able to do him like this is Atriox. This arbiter “drops” the plasma sword just to throw hands with chief, as if he isn’t one of the the greatest threats known to the covenant. He opted not to end him that way because it’d be boring (I know it’s due to plot) DAMN IT MAN.
