don't worry u doing good and learning fast. about the goalie thing a good keeper should tip the ball away from the attackers, sometimes when the keepers make a save they play it into the path of a striker and then they score, but they should try push the ball away from the attackers or out for a corner. but sometimes the shot is too hard to direct the save so its not always their fault

also the champions league is the best teams from everywhere in Europe. is starts with a group stage of 4 teams, you get 3 points for a win and 1 for a draw and 0 for losing. everyone plays each other twice, once home and once away (so 6 games altogether). the top 2 teams in each group go through to the last 16. in the last 16 they play each other once home once away, and whoever wins on aggregate goes through, which means the score of both games added together (so if Liverpool won 3-0 at home but lost 2-0 away they would go through as they won 3-2 together). this happens each round (quarter-final then semi-final) and then the final is a one off game, whoever wins on the night wins it. hope that explains it if not ask me anything 💪🏽

both teams face eachother at home and away so it’s two games. then at the end of the game. the team who scored the most goals between the two advances into the next round, the score from the first game is carried on to the second game. so for example in the round of 16 game between Liverpool and Inter. Liverpool beat Inter 2-0 in the first game and then inter beat liverpool 1-0 in the second. the overall score between both games is 2-1 in total, Inter would have needed to score 3 goals in the second game instead of 1 to make it 2-3 and to knocked out Liverpool. this is known as the aggregate score. and also in these video is you look at the top left, the person put the aggregate score next to the current game, so you don’t get confused.

The reason they don't play back to back is because they have league games and other cup competitions to play for during this time, for example: Liverpool would play Atletico Madrid on a Tuesday/Wednesday during the week for UCL & then play a league game on the weekend for the Premier League. If they are competing for multiple competitions like Liverpool has this season sometimes you can have a third game in the same week.
When it is past the group stages and onto the knockout rounds then they are sort of played back to back but usually they have a weeks break inbetween to play other games.

@@dunsonhouse Also this competition is the Uefa Champions League (UCL) which is the European Cup that 32 teams across Europe's Elite play along side their own Domestic Leagues Championship seasons .. to clear that up for you..
FYI: Liverpool (Scouse 😏 not english) .. I'd do your research on that topic🖒
To also help you out.. the way it works is: Once the spots filled, UEFA have a live draw to determine the 8 groups (4 clubs each per group)
So to qualify from their group.. you have 4teams/3 ops.. you play each op team twice (home and away) .. and correct a win is 3points while a draw is 1point each.. losing means no points 😂
Right so having played all 6 games.. the top 2 from each group advance to the KNOCKOUT stage..
(32 teams now becomes the last 16)
where you play another groups team.. in a 2game tie.. home and away... the AGG score is the overall score of the goals teams score during the 2games against each other..
and so you play 6 group games.. then advance to the round of the last 16.. Quater finals.. Semi-finals before the remaining 2 play in the European Cup Final .. where it a 1 off game... extra time and then penalities if required to crown the new European Champions
The Premier league in england is a 38game season/19 games at home and 19 away to ops stadiums (20teams/19ops).. each year the bottom 3 are dropped to the league below while the top 3 in the league below promoted up .. through all the leagues..
As you call it " the championship " that be the League title...
then there's the domestic cups (Carabao Cup and the F.A Cup where you play knockout games to try reach the finals each season)
Liverpool have won both those this season.. Carabao Cup in febuary and the F.A Cup yesterday 😎💪 and we got the UCL final v real madrid on 28th in Paris as you already know 😏
While still in race for the Premier League Championship
Liverpool played every game possible this season and ended up chasing the Quadruple.. All 4 💯🔴⚽❤

you could win a game 2-1 or 8-0 you still get 3 points for a win
its points in the group stage, but its different in the knockout rounds and finals
Knock out rounds are 2 games adding both scores together (goals from each game)

League points is for club country level football champion league is for best European club from each country the top four in each country leagues top division go through basically play in the group stages of the champions League tournament its a point systems both games played in each clubs home grounds top five teams in each category group plays two games each in each other clubs homes whoever has most points passes the group to last 16 stage there it's goal system

  • @khalidedrees3329
    @khalidedrees3329 Před 2 lety +8

    The tournament has 2 phases
First phase is called “Group stage”
    It’s based on points system:
    Win = 3pts / Draw = 1pt each team / Loss = 0pts to the losing team.
The group consists of four teams all play each other home and away so thats total of 8 matches. They tally all 4 teams points and the best two with the most total points advances into the second phase called:
    “Knock out stage”
    There are no points system tally because it is only two teams facing each other to advance so it is based on wins and goals;
Team A wins both matches (Home and away) thats a clear advance no need to look at the goals to determine who advances.
    But if;
Team A wins their home game 2-1
Team B wins their home game 2-0
This means both have a draw in terms of wins hence the total goals scored will become the decider.
Team A scored in the Home game 2 goals and scored 0 goals the second Away game their total = 2 goals
Team B scored in the first Away game 1 goal and even though they lost that 1 goal is carried through to the next Home game as an aggregate or lets say “credit”
In the second Home game they won by 2 goals and kept a clean sheet by denying team A to score a goal.
So Team B total goals is:
Away game loss they scored 1 goal
Home game win they scored 2 goals
Equalling a total of 3 goals scored
    Team A 2 - 3 Team B on aggregate
Team B advances on goal difference.

When you said it’s 1-1 now they have to play a 3third game, liverpool went through to the next stage because they scored more goals than inter Milan over the 2 games.
The first half of the competition is on points, 4 teams in each group play each other twice and the top 2 teams at the end of it goes through to the knockout stages. In the knockout stages the remaining 16 teams go into like a lottery ball draw and whoever your team gets drawed with you play them over 2 games. Shouts out from Timonium, Played/watched soccer my whole life in Baltimore, I wana come thru and walk yall through some of these reactions hahaha! I love your passion for learning the game! Liverpool is always fun to watch cause they are an attacking juggernaut. If you made a list of the best 30 forwards in the past 5 years, you could argue that Firmino, Salah and Mane are all on that list. Not only that but they have young guys like Jota and Diaz who are on their own come-ups.
As far as the score its on aggregate, so you combine the home and away scores to see who goes through.
Also those first few games they showed were the group stage. All the teams in the Champions league get put in groups of 4 and play the ppl in their group. Top 2 teams per group advance to the final 16 im pretty sure and then that's when they do the home and away legs based on aggregate.

Generally when keepers make saves they try to catch the ball and if they can't catch it they try to deflect it to an area where there are no attacking players, in some cases this is not possible for example when it's a reflex reaction save like the one you saw in the AC Milan game, so in this case you make the save and hope either it deflects away from attackers or the defence is aware and has your back as they should.

At the beginning of the video they were in group “whatever letter” consisting of 4 teams.
They play the other 3 teams from the group twice, one home game and one away game against every team.
    This is simply for fairness.
You are correct that when you win a game in the Group stage… it’s worth 3 points.
A tie is worth 1 point yo each team.
After all teams In the group stage have played and collected their points from wins or ties…. The top two teams with the most points advance to the Final 16.
Once In the final 16 stage…. It’s traditional tournament style.
Except again for fairness 2 games are played. One at each teams home stadium.
Whoever scores more goals total after the 2 games (one at each teams home stadium) that team is declared the winner and advances to the next round.
So for example… Liverpool VS whoever could play game one with Liverpool losing 1-3
However, another game is to be played at the other teams stadium.
Let’s say Liverpool wins that game 3-0…
The total amount of goals scored between the two games (for fairness one at each stadium) would be Liverpool 4 and whoever else 3.
Therefore Liverpool advances because on “Aggregate” the total goals scored was 4-3 Liverpool.
If after two games it’s tied in total goals… they would do a penalty shootout after extra time if still tied in total goals.
All of this is just for fairness.
Until you reach the championship game.
The championship game is just a one time game to crown a champion.
    Champion of the Champions League.
And that’s what’s going to happen between Real Madrid and Liverpool.
They are the final two teams and will now play one final game to be champions league, champion.

This is the UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE(where the champions and 2nd and 3rd places of the league of each country in EUROPE face each other) some also have play-offs if finish 3rd in league, against other 3rd of other countrys, eliminating eacher other(2 games) to see who gets to go or not to GROUP STAGE of the Champions League.
It's about points on GROUP STAGE only, where you play each team twice, 4 teams, each team plays against the other 3 twice(6 games).
1st and 2nd go through to the LAST 16, 3rd on group stage goes to EUROPA LEAGUE, competition played by teams in europe who placed in 4th, 5th, 6th and i think even 7th place in their league(and also the 3rd places of group stage of CHAMPIONS LEAGUE, it's the "reward" for that 3rd spot..and last in group stage of UCL (Uefa Champions League) goes home and loses the oportunity to play more and make millions for the club in the competition... Last 16, Quarter Finals, Semi Finals and Final is what's left...every round each team plays against other team twice eliminating each other, no more points, just goals and victory matter.
The results that were confusing you (aggregate) is the goals from both games combined, Liverpool draw against Benfica 3-3 at home but won previously the game away 3-1 so it's 6-4 for Liverpool in total(aggregate).
Each game is played Home and Away...in your own stadium and as visitor in the other club's stadium.
In case of draw after the two matches(outside of group stage)..if Liverpool wins AWAY 3-1 and then playing at HOME they lose 0-2 the end result is 3-3 but Liverpool wins and goes to next stage because they scored more goals AWAY...scored 3 away, against 2 that they suffered at HOME.
Now in case the result is something like win 3-0 AWAY and then lose 0-3 at HOME, it's extra time...30min, if after extra time still finishes a draw...it's penalties!
    So...points, GROUP STAGE only.
Every team in the Champions league plays each other twice but the FINAL.
    Hope that helps!...

For head to head games like in the final 16 it's total goals of back to back games (home/away). If it's tied on the 2nd game it goes to extra time and if still tied penalties.
The final is usually just a single game and you know how that goes, if tied, extra time, then if still tied penalties.

sometimes when a defense is playing a high line or get caught higher up the pitch, sometimes a goal keeper is kind of forced to come out as he's essentially the last defender and its sometimes a better option than staying back and letting an attacker run up to them for an easy tap in, but good keepers know when and where to come out of their bars

In the group stage you play against 3 other teams twice, once at home and the other away. In this case Liverpool was in the group of death, known as the group with the most difficult opponents and won all the games. In the group stage or in any other league, a win is valued as 3 points, while a draw is 1 and a defeat is 0. In the Champions League, 2 teams from each group passes through to the Knockout round, which each team faces the other twice, once at home and the other away, they are called 1st leg (first game) and 2nd leg (second game). On the Knockout stages you need an aggregate win to pass through, so you just sum up the numbers of goals scored in both legs... So if you win 4-0 in the first leg and loses 0-2 in the second, the aggregate will be 4-2 in your favour and you'll go to the next phase. It goes this way until the final, which will be played in a single game, at a neutral field, with 50/50 supporters in the stands.

7:50 it's just Liverpool being Liverpool. Maignon the goalkeeper will say he should have done better but Mane's shot was hit so powerfully he just threw up a hand at it. He couldn't get anything more on it to stop the shot and when it caroms back into the danger zone you just have to hope it bounces for your defenders and not the other team's strikers. The reason Liverpool are so dangerous is precisely because the attackers work their way into such dangerous places and it's really hard to beat them to a loose ball in the box.

  • @rainingentertainment3104

The first 6 games which is that group of 4 with your team and 3 other teams so you play each team twice once at home and once away and that makes 6 games once that is done it’s the only place where you earn points in the champions league so if you win all 6 games you finish with 18 points and what it’s used for is there’s 8 groups of 4 at the start of the tournament that makes 32 teams and then the top 2 teams from each group advance but if you come in 1st of the group it’s better because you can only play second placed teams and then the round of 16 starts so you came first now you coming across a second placed team still a good team but you got better chances then you play 1 home game and 1 away game and whoever scores the most goals between the 2 games goes to the next round so round of 16 and then quarter finals which is 8 teams you play that team 2 times again then it’s semi finals which is 4 teams you you play 2 games vs that semi opponent and then whoever wins the semis goes to the finals and the finals is only 1 game at a random stadium in Europe usually a big prestigious stadium that becomes a neutral stadium where each team splits the tickets in half. Hopefully that helps brothas love your stuff. I’m Portuguese btw special request react to Rui Costa! Or Eusebio! The first 6 games of the champions league is based on points to determine the two teams that will advance to the knockout stage. In this case, Liverpool won all 6 (18 points) and Atletico passed with 7 points. Knockout stage is basically, the team who scores the most goals in two games, goes to the next round. If you win the first game 3-0 and lose the second game 2-0 you still pass because the aggregate score is 3-2.

Champions League starts in the group stages (there are rounds before this but the big teams join in the group stage, which is where it really is the Championsleague)
    **GROUP STAGE
The Group stage is 8 groups of 4 teams, where each team plays each other twice, (once home, once away standard 90 minute per game) so 6 matches in a group stage the games are played like a league 3 pts for a win, 1 for a draw 0 for a loss, top 2 teams after 6 games go through to the Knockout (the last 16)
Points are NOT Goals, you win by scoring more goals, you get 3 points for a win, a 2-1 win or a 6-1 win, still get 3 points. The goals across all 6 games scored and conceded are tallied but only matter if Points are level after 6 games in the League/Group stage ONLY
    **KNOCKOUT ROUNDS
The knockout games are in 2 game rounds. You play 1 team twice, once home, once away, and the total goals from both games is added up to create an "Aggregate" score (said like : Agg- ri - gut / Agg- ri - gate).
At the end of the 2nd game in each of these rounds, if the score is level on Aggregate (across both home and away games) after the end of 90 mins in the 2nd game, there are an extra 30 mins extra time, and then penalties if the Aggregate score is still level.
The first knock out round is "The Last 16", the second round is the "Quarter Final", and the third round is the "Semi final" , all in the same 2 game format.
    (SCORES/TV SCORING)
The scores you see on the screen, the main score that is in the usual place (in between the teams Initials/name) is the score of the game on the night , the other score, usually to the side and/or in bracket (), is the Aggregate score and is the most important score overall.
*Score example (for 2 Leg Knockout games): Liverpool 3-3 Benfica (6-4)
This means the score was 3-3 on the night in THAT 90 minute game, but the score was 6-4 too Liverpool across both 90 games (Liverpool won 3-1 in the first game) so Liverpool went through.
This happens in the knockout rounds (2 leg games, aggregate scores) but NEVER in the Group or Final
    **THE FINAL
The final is a one off game over 90 minutes, 30 mins extra time if scores are level, and then penalties if score is still level at the end of Extra time.
Team with the most goals wins, or via penalties.
Win this and it Henni and Merlot all the way lool
Below is a basic flow of how the competition goes
Qualifying rounds -----------(teams from weaker leagues, same 2 leg format as Knockout rounds, big teams not involved at this stage)
GROUP STAGE--------------------------(6 game league: 8 groups of 4 teams)
    LAST 16------------------------------------(Knockout rounds )
    QUARTER FINAL-----------------------(Knockout rounds )
    SEMI FINAL------------------------------(Knockout rounds )
FINAL---------------------------------------(One off 90minute game for tha Cup!!!!!!)

Champions league starts off as table point then moves to aggregate as the competition progresses. For example: it starts off with 8 tables and in each table there are 4 teams. These four teams play each other multiple times and gather points. ( A draw is 1 point, win is 3 points, losing is no points) out of the 4 teams the top 2 team that gather the most point will move on to the next stage of the competition which is called the round of sixteen. In this stage the aggregate point system comes in. 1 team from each table is now going to face only 1 team from the other table but they play twice and the one that score the most goals on aggregate will progress in the competition. This system continues up to semi finals and when it comes to final there is only 1 game that detects the champion of this competition which will be Liverpool without a doubt because Real Madrid is playing horribly and winning based on luck 😂👍
