@@dcramer1 do you believe a Christian should obey Christ, love Christ and imitate Him? see John 14:15 and compare with Luke 4:16, John 15:10 and Ex 20:8-11
Father, your video came at a perfect time. Thank you so much for giving such a simple and concise perspective on this topic. As I used to explain to others, sometimes having Bible debates would feel like we're throwing rocks at each other in the form of Bible verses, and at the end of the day, it might even be detrimental to faith as it could distract us from focusing on what's truly important or on what the greater good is, which is God. Sometimes, the path could seem really narrow but at least we're still hopefully walking in the right direction! God bless.
@FatherDavidMichael WHY GUESS? BECAUSE.... God can't speak one word. God can't even come down off Mount Olympus and make a bloody cup of tea. That's one useless Almighty Deity.
@@emmetranous9682 well, start with the very name of 'Christianity' -- doesn't a Christian imitate Christ? doesn't a Christian obey Christ? doesn't a Christian love Christ? compare John 14:15 with Ex 20:4-6 and 8-11 -- all the answers are there. ask if you'd like further explaining on this, Sir.

Fantastic video Father. Why? Because it is succinct (ie accurate and short)-exactly what we need to plant seeds for those who want to be intellectually Honest.
As a Protestant that became Catholic this is the most concise statement that will help a person understand the Catholic Faith. Anyone can make up what they think Scripture means. Anyone can do that. But there is a limited number of people that actually learned Christianity from the Apostles and got the correct interpretation from the horse’s mouth.
Same for politics in this county. We just need one political party for unity sake. All these divisions, back and forth, lead to strife. Yes, everyone just needs to believe what I believe and join my party and be happy.
I completely agree with everything you say I was just wondering when people say ignorance of scripture is ignorance of Christ could you also say ignorance of the traditions of Catholicism is ignorance of Christ
Father, I believe that a lot of us interpret Scripture differently. I love our Pastor interpreting it through his homily. Father, you do a great job. Thank you for your Priesthood. We love you.
Father I agree with you each of these denominations are convince of their beliefs according to their organizations only the holy Spirit can convince them otherwise
Father, I have a lot of respect for you, but the 45,000 Christian denomination statistic is very misleading. Trent Horn has covered this in an episode on his podcast but essentially the number is incredibly inflated due to the methodology used to determine what a denomination is. Otherwise, I 100% agree with this video.
This is why Protestant small groups can go astray. They read a passage and talk about what they think about. I have been in many of these groups and have heard a lot of nonsense.
Sola scriptura = I can cherry pick verses out of context to “disprove” the RCC on a surface level but also get to disregard all of John 6, Mark 14, Luke 22, Matthew 26, 1 Timothy, all of James and insert words that don’t exist in the original language versions.
The only question protestants need to answer is when did the institutional hierarchy found in Scripture that members of the body of Christ owed a duty to submit to lose their authority.
1 Timothy 6:10-11 KJVS For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. [11] But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.
And you hit the head with few of my problems with religion in general. Cherry picking scripture, making the bible to fit one view. That and a few other things make it feel like people are more focus on religion itself than what religion should be about.
I’m a Catholic. And although I sincerely believe this priest means to do good, I also believe the Bible, is consistent through and through. If someone truly knows the Bible, it proves our catholic theology. But you do have to go back to what’s written there. Don’t be spiritually lazy, study the Bible in depth, and pray and meditate for a deeper understanding.
Go to Sam Shamoun at Shamounian yt he has the scripture by heart even knowing Greek and also knows koran arabic. How many of us can read classic Hebrew, Aramaic, and Classic Greek the languages of the bible? To argue over translations of the Bible seems pointless.
We protestants eat the body and drink the blood. Catholics for some reason take that verse strictly literally while taking every other verse figuratively. We take it in its context, both why Jesus starts speaking that way (the crowds only want physical food) and what the words are that he speaks (spiritual).
There’s still 1.4 billion… pretty good effort to unite 3:01 that many people… unlike the clown shown that is American Protestantism .. you guys can even agree your right hand from your left hand..the bare basics.

Mark 4:14 ¶ The sower soweth the word. Mark 4:15 And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts.
