  • Replacing clutch plates on my 2016 Aprilia rsv4 rf Le 117/200. This is my second time replacing the clutch plates. The first time I used a Barnett clutch pack and it didn’t last long using launch control on a really hot day and not letting the bike cool in between. Now I’m replacing the plates again with a EBC clutch pack. Hopefully they last a little longer than 4,000 miles and 7 launches. Lol.
    I think the outer basket ring normally has little play in it. Comment below if I’m way wrong!?

    Just a helpful tip for next time, you can use some small zip ties to hold the new gasket on the cover side, then as you install and get a few bolts in just cut them free.

      I always used silicone for gaskets

      @cruxer666 Před 2 měsíci

      Even easier, put few bolts into the cover and place the gasket on the cover, it also makes it easier to guide the cover into the correct position with these 2-3 bolts

    I have a question. So my 2014 rsv4 factory will happen that when the engine temperature is high and I drive it in the center of city, the engine is lack power in the first gear. When I turn the throttle, there is a little bit of power push me forward, it’s so weak! And the rpm and the speed is also very very low, which is hard to increase, but after a moment it will go powerfully. I don’t know if it is the problem of clutch plate?

    • @jeffo_511

      Also you can adjust the rough adjustment down on the engine/clutch cover. If that doesn’t work and you have higher miles or done a lot of launch controls then probably time to replace. Def use the ebc.
