😂 I think this is how all of us are feeling!!! We are hitting the ages of our parents when we were teenagers and it’s hard to wrap your head around. My 20 year high school reunion was last year and I was in denial, hard. 😂 But I am thankful to grow older and to have matured, but dang it if my brain hasn’t caught up.
ERIN! I can’t believe you’re 39! From a maturity and and level-headedness perspective, I would have guessed 30s, but that guess is not based on your looks. I understand lighting helps but from where I’m sitting, I think you look amazing and nowhere near 40! But, as someone who is an early 40s millennial, in my opinion, you should not fear turning 40! It’s been the best decade yet! You get more confident and care way less about what others think - it’s very freeing! Looking forward to continue following your panning and conscious consumerism journey. You’ve been influencing me in the best way possible - by using what I have and making progress or finishing products before buying more. Keep up the great work and I’ll be here to cheer you on!!

I like to be able to make straight lines. 😂 It makes my brain feel better. I am amazed at the people who can take a bullet journal and draw in all the different calendars and list and things every month.
I turned 40 last year and I told my dad that I always thought at this point I would feel like I know what I’m doing but I still feel like I’m mostly just winging it! He said he still feels that way too! Lol.

WOW!!! your eyes are mesmerizing !!!! Those eyeshadows make your eyes pop, Just beautiful. I also can relate, my house is cold but its not that cold outside. Its 55 degrees, but it feels like its 40 degrees in doors and my heater is set to 72 degrees. I don't understand.
Our house is good at staying at one temperature. Which is good cause it will hold in the heat when I do turn the heater on, but I live in Florida, so it can be freezing one day and 70 degrees the next (or all in one day if I’m being real). I also hate paying high energy costs in the winters so I’m willing to put on layers and walk around the house wrapped in a blanket. 😂

Lol I just turned 40 in Dec. Lol I know what you mean. I'm not an adult. I have horrible forehead wrinkles. Lol My sister is 32 and she says she will get Botox when it is needed. I love the journal you are using. I like how everything is setup and organized. I tried some tips you offered for tracking I used latter part of last year. But this is great. I'm going to get myself organized. I need a whole day to get my palettes organized in the No palette left behind setup. I have too many. Thank you for sharing, I'm excited to get started and keep track of my usage and using things up.
My Laura Mercier Caviar Stick has been jumping out of the tube as well. I wonder if because it’s the small size and if this happens with the larger size 🤔 I can’t wait to see your progress for the year!
I’m not sure if the full size would, but I’m thinking yes because I think it has more to do with the consistency of the product more than the packaging. It is a soft product and I think that once it gets down to the nub and it’s rolled all the way up, it just kind of wiggles its way free. I mean I’m still going to use it and throught about just decanting it into a little jar and using it that way. 🤷🏻♀️

I was waiting to get some direction from this video because you let us know it was on the way. 😊 Since it's my first year with a panning journal, I was kind of overwhelmed. 🤯 Yay for It's My Pleasure being your PTP for the year. That's the one purple CP palette that I don't own and because we don't know if it's the same formula, I'm hesitant to do so. Besides, now that I have the Gothic, I don't think I need it 😂 I honestly thought that's what you had on your eyes today! That lid shade is just stunning and my single of Earthshine is definitely different. Pretty, but different. I think I might try to recreate your look with my Earthshine single and see how much the difference comes through. 🤔
Let me know if you need any help with your journal. Sometimes we got to keep it simple at the start, but you got this! Yeah, you don’t need the CP palette if you have Gothic. I almost swatched my two Earthshines to DM you and be like “See!!!!” I am also scared to buy the palette again and find out the formula has changed. Earthshine and Mr. Sandman in my palette almost feel like super shocks because they are so creamy and still wet feeling.

That is a great intro. I am doing my project pan this year a bit different. Some products in it I want to use up, some have usage goals or until I hit pan. I really need you to make me a journal like that 😂 mine is all over the place half of it is on my phone in my notes….
@@erintaylorwrites it would make sense to me to have a that well organised panning planner. However I got a 2 year old who loves to draw so I would have to hide that planner and the pencils/markers that go with it. And then I simply would not write it down in the mornings when I apply my makeup cause he is there a lot of the times to play with one of my brushes. I give it another 3 years then hopefully both of them have outgrown the stage of let’s do this even though mommy says no, let’s do it with a smile.
Wow I’m shocked, I’d never guess your age 😅 But I totally relate, I’m 35 years old and although people say I look much younger my skin has its own opinion lol I decided to start a panning journal this year, I have most of my information on spreadsheets but I’m finding easier lately to register my makeup usage on a notebook. As my current focus is on numbers of uses instead of completion, let’s see how it goes
I totally get the skin thing! Being 39 and still getting acne is so annoying! Not to mention the dark hair that starts to pop up everywhere! 😂 Tracking number of uses is so much easier in a journal and I hope showing my set up has been helpful. ☺️
I wish I would have worn sunscreen more I my 20s, but I also didn't go out in the sun much. For the longest time I wanted a nose job, but I'm beyond that now with all the healing. I think I would only get a little filler in my lips and maybe smile lines. Nothing unnatural looking, but I will have lots of conversations with my doctor prior to doing anything!! I also have to have it in the budget and with inflation 😅 who knows if that will happen. Thank you for the support!!
Who freaking knows!? I think back on high school and am like, yep that was 6 years ago right? I mean….I don’t want to go back and repeat my 20s, but man, time flies. I will say, with age, I would rather be home than out. My favorite place is in my bed on my heating pad with my dogs. By 9pm I’m ready for bed. And I complain about kids playing music too loud (but I will blast some Ace of Base) 😂
LOL! When the young kid working at the grocery store calls me ma’am and I look around for someone old but then realize that I’m old enough to be his mom. 😅🤦🏻♀️ No one prepared me for this!

I would say that track in a way that makes sense to you. My first journal was all over the place too. Almost too embarrassed to show it. 😂

I'm 54. Don't get fillers. Sunscreen, moisturizer, and love yourself. Botox, to each their own.
