I've had a porn addiction since I was first exposed to it at 12. For years now I've been trying to quit, knowing the harm it brings both to myself, and especially to others. It's hard. But videos like these help me bring it back into perspective and remind me of why it's vital that I need to get over this.

I am not affiliated with any type of religion. However, I do work with victims of sexual abuse, and everything this guy said is absolutely true. I couldn't have said it better myself.
Suggesting that it is in any way typical for pornstars to be recruited by being "drugged and raped" is exactly as untrue as suggesting that Catholic priests are typically pedophiles.

The gradual erosion of inhibitions and lessening of sensitivity to abuse is not only personal but also familial and societal. Exposure to pornography, especially at a young age, ( I believe in the US the average age of first exposure to pornography is 11) is a form of grooming to aid the acceptance of sexual exploitation and abuse. The grooming doesn't just apply to those who participate in making pornography but also to those who participate in it through viewing it or exposing others, including childtrn, to it.

About your second point where you speak about morality, what is morality from a strictly secular point of view? From a secular point of view, from what I know, it's man made and it's ever changing, for example if you ask a liberal about his values today and compare them with the views of a liberal from a century ago you'd find out it's pretty different, even today not all atheists believe for the lack of a better term in the same values.
I agree that we must put a stop to this together, god knows we've been trying for years but this industry is so powerful, has infinite resources and backed by powerful people with huge influence on media platforms. I think that in this honorable fight we must come to a common ground, I think more studies should be made about the negative effects of porn on the human brain and body, if these studies hit the mainstrean media I'm sure it's gonna be a huge blow to the porn industry and more and more people will be aware of its dangers.

And on your point on women objectification, it probably is true that there is a surreal and incomplete scenario depicted. But that can be "fought" with some preventive actions. But for that we need to start speaking openly about sexuality, and all its wonderful facets.

Then put on your clothes no lotion or anything and go outside with the anointing oil. You need seven bottles of anointing oil or small glass bottles of extra virgin oil, go outside to seven different areas around your house at night time and pray to God about freeing you from bondage and him coming into your life and then smash it on the floor for those seven days after the coconut cleanse. And then read quotations from your bible that can help in that area of enemies and demonic spirits before bed and pray, from then on start reading the Bible in general and ask God to come into your life and that you want to know him with your entire being and when you finish the fast, see the difference.

Roberto Murillo the problem in catholicism is that you depend on priests who can only take your sins but in reality Jesus is the one and only mediator between men and God and he is only one prayer from the bottom of your heart away from you. I am also ex catholic but I gave my life to Christ, layed my sins down to him and he made me a new creation and washed me from all sin.
It's horrific. Deeply unethical. I was addicted to visiting porn websites for years, I'm a girl so the shame was worse. I haven't watched porn for 2 years after really seeing how unethical porn is, I would never, ever, ever enter a porn website again. I thank god everyday for getting me away from such horrible material, but the shame never really leaves me for some reason.
You just don't have to hold on to the shame if you've really stopped watching.

Thanks for the kind words and support, yes I am very happy I was able to shift from a state where I was watching porn to escape and not realising it's unethical nature. I am thankful, but yes I still struggle with feeling of immorality and feeling like a sinner, or immoral, or even outside of a religious context, just a bad person. I do my best to shake it off, maybe it will be something I carry for a life time, I don't know. Most people tell me I am not a bad person, that I am an even better person than most for realising it's unethical and stopping when most people don't seem to care. But still can't seem to shake it. Thank you Father for calling it this silent cancer. This isn't easy to say but I hope it will help others. I'm 58, when I was 11, I was molested by an older boy who introduced me to pornography and masturbation. Prior to that, I was so innocent that I thought genitals were only used for going to the bathroom. He stole my innocence and lead me down a path of pornography that took decades to fight. I was suicidal by 13 and at 48 after becoming alcoholic tried to kill myself. By God's grace and the 12 steps, I just celebrated 9 years sober. My relationship to Jesus and my Catholic faith are more important to me now than ever in my life. The 12 steps work IF and ONLY it I work them 100 percent. They are all about my relationship to God and to others. There is a way out. I can't tell you how many times I have said to myself if could only change one day in my life, it would be the day I was 11. God worked out for good what someone else meant for evil but this has become such an easily available and pervasive blight on society that we must call it out for what it is and fight it. This is truly spiritual warfare. I hope this helps someone else trapped in this.

Yes. I’m entrapped in it too. The first time I got into this was when I was around 9-11 yrs old. A naughty popular classmate of mine in a Carholic school introduced me into almost taking advantage over me inside a classroom after class and good thing the guard checked ok us because my older sister was looking for me to pick me up, and then on another side, I love to discover things in my house and tinker with them when I was a kid and then I discovered a cd kept in these stack of cds made to be burned like you know the burn cds. Until now i dont know how they work but my mom worked as an I.T. And in it were some separately or randomly placed bold CDs and I got into it with a few hesitations at first until I gave in whenever I feel upset from my mom who which misunderstood me or beats me up or shouts at me for no reason including my older sisters. (In my culture, but in my house I never have any sisters only one brother, but because in my culture, since we always have like maids or house keepers from another family, they are considered as part of the family to take care of the kids of the parents who has to work day and night shift so they had to leave us with these house-maids or house-keepers and they stay with us for a very long time and they would watch me grow up until their family in their home province needs them or if they’re ready to go or if they choose to leave the family.)
But As I said, my mother used to keep these cds and I would hesitate on it until i grew more curious to watch it alone locked inside a room whenever I find the opportunity to do so. And I felt guilty doing it. One time I got caught by my older sister and she left the room immediately. I didnt feel guilt because I was so into it while I was doing it, but after that It was short pleasure and I felt instant guilt right away that knowing there was no turning point.
These things I kept fighting for years and failed to do so until I almost raped a child and good Lord my consciousness kicked in and said to my prepubescent teenage self to stop. I was also a victim do not do it to others too.
Until now Ive never molested any child just two in the past but I have never successfully did it anyway. One was almost, good thing I held back and the other was the child knows what I was doing and I felt that I needed to stop because I was already feeling guilty while I was doing it and then something happened like the child knows what my heart is telling to me to stop and then the child helped my heart to tell my brain and my body to stop even though I felt like i was still going on like its normal.
After years went by, I finally conquered this lust. My streak was like 2-3months with no masturbation, pornography, or fantasy. Anything that comes to my mind, I pray the 10 hail mary or pray any Anything in the rosary I know and what my grandmother taught me. And it works!
Until Whenever Im peaceful with my self, the opposite happens. When I was in my physiotheraphy, (this is a long story so ill cut it short), Since I got my strength back because of the benefits from being chastise for 3 months, I attracted a lot of women without any clue and one of them is my second physiotherapist whom I dont encounter that much, and then this happens. It was 6 pm, I was the last client, I was on the hydraulic stiff bed with the hole for the face to breathe but I was laying down my head on the opposite foot of the bed. I was relaxing, doing my stretches out from working my stiffness, the last person to go out was the receptionist and she said her goodbyes as she went home when she gave me a nervous look like something bad is going to happen so I just shrugged it off but I still kept my pace and relaxed, and then all of a sudden I heard a click on the front door but I also feel this weird feeling like im in a thai massage which I just prayed spiritually 10 hail Mary’s and I felt my body tingling . I felt something spiritual going on and I didnt made an inch if a move. I hope this isnt what I was thinking, I have made my way longer here 3 months with no indulgence and im not going to move to another level to lose my virginity I said to myself. And So i kept praying and didnt made any inch of a move. It was so hard that I have to keep remind to myself be still land let God sort it out.
So after that My therapist well she checked my out and ask to raise my hands to check any pain until she gestured her butt which she replies “the glutted” being all professional, she didnt think I was too keen to notice what she was coding to me subconsciously but I was able to intercept that, I said okay and yes Im fine and hurried myself to finish and pack things up and then the coincidence happened. She said all of a sudden that she locked the door Accidentally when the receptionist went out and she will just unlock it for me. And lo and behold I was able to escape with gladness and happiness that I was still able to wait until I wasnt in the view of the building in order to skippidy hoppity in success while going home that which I didnt concur to the event but I still managed to escape the trap that the invisible devil has made.
Until now, I am still fighting. I moved to another house and its another challenge. So many stories to be told but this is what I can offer right now.

maybe it would be too much to ask the world to stamp out evil forces completely because perhaps we as people need to delve into the darkness to a degree in order to truly know the light, to know the righteous and the path that leads us to a clear conscience, I don't know.

I am an atheist and love this channel (I was raised a Catholic but stopped believing c. age 10) - even though I very much disagree with many of the positions of the Catholic Church, it is refreshing to see such a young, sincere, intelligent and articulate advocate for the faith (NO surprise he is a Franciscan). I was around 6 to 8 years old. I couldn't stop thinking about it. It ruined my childhood. Access was so easy. Even today, all you have to do to access it is accept that you are 18+. The consensual warning is a joke. A child could easily lie and access it. My parents were new to technology. They didn't know much back in the day. Filters don't do much, and there are easy ways to turn them off.
