- Tempers flared at the end of the second day of Jennifer Crumbley’s trial, as the defense and prosecutors got into a shouting match about jokes in the courtroom and the “parading” of evidence.
Judge has lost control of the courtroom because defense attorney is a constant temper tantrum
Judge is way too passive.
She keeps making excuses for the defense attorney and allows her to yell and interrupt, the only person that is being emotionally inappropriate is the defense attorney.
ABSOLUTELY! Judge saying Whoa……should’ve happened on issue one day one. Just like a two year old, if you dont straighten them out on the #1st tantrum of the day- you will deal with the tantrums all day long. A parenting example has NO PLACE in a courtroom! My Gosh! “I’m gonna kill myself” is despicable in a trial where someone lost their life, needless to say several people lost their lives with the very weapon the defendant is on trial for. The Defense Attorney then whines to the judge about this like she’s been wronged by the prosecution. How can the judge tolerate this when there’s a room full of victims.

She should've apologized immediately when she realized what she said. It was shocking to say the least. Whining about being only one person how is it the state's problem?! It's painful to hear all the whining...you can tell she's trying her hardest but the slip by saying "I wanna kill myself" should've been objected or struck immediately!!

This defense attorney is a joke. Waving and claiming that she didn’t watch the videos is a disrespect to the families of the victims. She thinks she owns the courtroom and this judge is allowing it. Her soft voice is showing, but that’s my opinion she has no control.

This defence attorney is crap. Not objecting when it matters. I’m surprised the shooting victims were allowed to testify. It makes it very hard for jurors to distinguish between the real murderer and the parents. Two different crimes committed here. Save the victim statements for HIS trial.. and prosecute the parents on the merits , not emotional reactions to the shooting event… just my opinion but the defence attorney should have pushed that narrative and objected to those witnesses
@@chelsey4188I agree. Yes, the prosecution has to prove there was a school shooting, but that’s easily provable with just a couple witnesses. The mass shooter already pled guilty and, as you stated, that isn’t the basis of this trial.
This defense attorney is funny. Every day, she basically says "the prosecutor is only presenting evidence that makes our client look guilty, and I think they should be required to introduce evidence that makes her look less guilty so I don't have to do anything".

Sometimes judges seem like they are favoring or acquiescing more than necessary for the defense, to prevent possible excuses/grounds for an appeal. I think the judge is playing CYA except when she joked at 7:30 .

I’m pretty sure she printed out all those papers to make it look like more work than it actually is. Don’t get me wrong it definitely is a lot of work to be a defense attorney but they gave her a flash drive with all the evidence. Bizarre! At around the 10 min mark. Défense says she needs the prosecutors to redact something. Says if they give it to her, she can redact it tonight (even though she needs to sleep). Prosecutors say they gave it to her months ago. Défense says, "it's buried in a pile of evidence. Fine! I'll dig it out and they can redact it". Prosecutors say "We gave it on a thumb drive!". Défense, "They handed it to me today, during and 8 hour trial day". ????? wtf?? Why are we having this stressful argument?

If the defense attorney doesn't have the time to look through the "stacks" of evidence and is only one person, she shouldn't have taken the case. She's had quite a while to go through the evidence and do her thing to organize it in a manner that works for her. Having the man (who only extracted deleted messages from text messages and social media) on the stand, re-reading every single line of a text message and asking him question after question for hours was a huge waste of time. She's not doing herself any favors by her behavior in court.

This judge might be worse than the defense attorney! She has no control and seems so biased to the defense. Both of them need to start acting much more professional and just do their jobs!

Wow, defense attorney isn't doing her client any favors, she actually complains about doing her job, working 8hrs a day ! I know people who 12-14hr days, I'm sure some people work longer than that. Did she think this career SHE CHOSE would only be to work 8hr days?

The judge has lost control. The defense is unequipped. And I still don’t understand fully how the mother who wasn’t physically there and had no direct prior knowledge was even charged with manslaughter but the school was not implicated. Total mess

The worst person in that room is the judge. She is so focused on being liked by the defense that she forgets her role as an IMPARTIAL JUDGE. How she handled the prosecutors request to stop the defense from making comments about killing herself (in a room with people that lost their children) was very disrespectful “I understand…” …do you, Judge?! Because it seems like all you’ve been doing is making excuses for the petulant defense “attorney” that just whines about having to do the job she was hired to do. She could go hire someone to help her but noooo it is easier to cry and whine that the prosecutors are being unfair to her when she had two years to prepare for trial and she didn’t. What a mess of a courtroom.

If I were Jennifer I would fire this lawyer immediately. I have watched SO many cases and this is one of the worst defense lawyers I've ever seen.

The judge has ZEEERO control of her court. Everyone interrupts everyone, and the judge looks like a tired mommy begging the defense to have a brain. "I've been here 8 hours today" Whaaaaaaat a horrible attorney.
