Theo is so bright, people underestimate his brilliance. Great memory, Attention to detail, Recall of faces and names, Memories. Never a bad thing to say about others to make himself " look or feel" better. Im in the Theo rabbit hole ....deep. Almost through 200 podcasts, love this guy!

I recently heard Rogan make a comment about Theo’s stories. Said he didn’t know how many are true but they’re funny as hell. It had never even occurred to me that the stories might not be completely accurate memories he was sharing of a colorful childhood. I realized, oh, right. He’s a comedian. He embellishes his tales to make them funny. Duh!

It’s insane how one single woman, just sitting, had an impact on at least two comedians on stage. Out of all the people there, they each noticed and disliked her bc she didn’t laugh. I think that’s so interesting. They want people to like them and there were so many people there who did, but finding one person who didn’t threw them off and stuck with them. Definitely heck out his podcast but yeah I've been a fan of Shane before he even had the snl thing happen. He was on legion of skanks a lot. He's one of the funniest people in the world. And he is way way better off without snl.

I didn't even know who Shane Gillis was until they tried to cancel him and every podcast on Earth started having him on 😂
Because before he was canceled he was not famous and poor he got snl as the first thing he got in comedy or acting at all besides basically open mics and a couple CZcams sketches with like 10-20k. Views, got canceled before he was even close to fame lol
Other than his own, I think he only went on 2-3 podcasts directly after the snl thing and has only done a handful of others since then.
@@galonzo1842 Hopefully, since there’s so much positivity towards Shane in the comments section of this episode, by Theo giving him some credibility, as well as Rogan has recently done, maybe he’s moving towards being less of a risk to have on as a guest. The more of this type of content, the more other podcasts will take a chance to have him on. As an added bonus, it’s another example of how cancel culture run amok, in instances like this, is just to capitalize financially, rather than being done for the greater good of our society. At least they just tried to destroy his career, before it ever happened. He doesn’t have a wife & kids to support, so I guess it was ok to take him out before that might’ve happened. It’s kinda perverse, which is ironic to do to a guy that writes potentially offensive jokes, which are often the best.

@American Underground I think it's more of the contrast between Shane and the other people Theo has had on. You can't deny that some of his guests just completely miss jokes. I'm sure most people with some humor have gotten something similar before, you have friends that get your jokes, then when you try them on other people it just goes over their head.
@American Underground it’s more about podcasting than people: when guests are there, they’re focused on having stuff to say, not on Theo’s jokes. Shane naturally has stuff to say AND catches Theo’s jokes.

Riley is utterly worthless and has no substance. Literally brings nothing to the table. It was kind of funny at first but he needs to go. Theo needs an assistant that can bring character to the podcast. At least someone who can provide some input.

I don’t like the dialogue with him either but mostly because he’s clearly uncomfortable, and I feel like Theo resorts to using him as a prop for laughs. That makes me uncomfortable because I’m not in middle school anymore. So if Theo wants someone to have back and forths with, I agree he should hire someone else.
