Here are some things I do on the track to get better
1: When I'm on the track I like to warmup by cruising around and finding my lines
2: If I'm on my best laps I like to see how far I can push myself with endurance and speed
3: If there are no other minis on the track I'll challenge myself and chase a higher cc bike
4: I like to hit the lines that are the most beat up so I can get use to hard conditions
5: At the end of the day I just try to hit all my marks and take a few breath laps to cool down
    My five tips

    Hi Kris,
What’s the chance of getting some footage of what not to do when riding, I’m sure you could use Steve as the what not to do person if you can get him riding?? Great video!!

Love using the Polar H7 for training and the track. Chest strap heart rate monitor. Have somebody on your phone to collect the data from the transponder on you during your laps, then end the session when you get back to the truck. Time, heart rates, zones, tables, distance, calories, etc. all right there.

Good tips, I would like to be able to ride “the dirt bike” a lot more, as I only get out about every three or four weeks, and, like this past Saturday, usually leave with some sort of injury, wheelied over ending in road rash and very sore ribs, did I mention that I’m 60...😏

  • @kellienicolebrooksschettin6598

Yes I think that is probably the best advice ,hell yes work on conditioning for starters, that is pretty much the thing that separates the men from the boys,or the pros from the beginners,u every wonder why novice races are only four laps, conditioning, ams are 6 pros are 8 or more, because besides speed pros can go much longer because of there physical fitness and mainly they have learn the technique of riding and not fighting the bike because they use their legs and not the arms, but it requires using new muscle so train them...thanks Kris good von Hans..

Record ur laps, when I went road racing for the first time my friend who was pro, came by said u should record ur laps, its the first step to knowing where u are if u can and u know when u make an improvement..good stuff.very important,I would say a whole lot if u really want to get good ,and your new get a couple if old tires two and practice getting around them as fast as u can in both directions lefts and right s,u will learn your motorcycle very fast and work on improving, try body position s.and mainly u will get good at using your controls, once u master your controls then u can focus on new things,safely...Having a plan that is not too important I was able to borrow a national riders 250cc and I got a holeshot on it because I useally do,but it was a Suzuki and I had never thrown a Suzuki into a corner at full tilt I had to relent because I did not want to crash a borrowed brand new RM 250,I had the holeshot by twenty feet,it was the worst feeling I ever had...sorry I'm getting misty...piece.
