  • I know I use the word 'HAPPY' too much and I do ramble.
I sew in new 40 gauge, double polished vinyl in to our old dodger.

Hi Phil, thanks for your video, i think you've done a great job. I wouldn't be too worried about the stitching after saving that much money. Its getting someone to do the job as well as they are so busy.
Im about to replace the glass in my dodger which came with my Ronautica RO260 when I bought it 6 years ago. From memory i think the stitching around my glass is zigzag, so not too sure how to proceed, appart from scoring the old glass and stitching the new glass over the top. This of course will leave a thin strip of the old glass behind the fabric.
Anyway, thanks for sharing your video. Rob from the UK.

$100 is incredible. Iverson dodgers are the best I've seen, very expensive, in San Francisco. I don't know how they get them so drum tight but yours is terrific

I like your method too. I don't like to leave scab plastic on the dodger or side curtains when I replace windows. It doesn't look professional, but I've seen plenty of professionals that have left it there. I guess that's just because it's faster (one step instead of three). Thanks for the video.

Well done! I think it looks good. I'm just in the finishing stages of making a new dodger and cockpit "house" for my brother. Hugh job but a lot of money saved.

Thanks so much for the video! I am considering replacing the forward isinglass on my Sea Ray and appreciate the tips and techniques you used. I’m curious on the sewing machine that was used, as well as what type needle on the machine. Thanks for any info. Nice job!

Good first attempt. Sewing is not that hard, but it does take refined hand eye skills. I can show you how, you must teach yourself.
There are pattern makers, and there are pattern followers. Nice edit. -EZ

Phil, where do you order that Isinglas from? I'm in Ontario and got a dodger frame for my C&C 27. Wondering if there's any place local that has it. I'm up in Bruce County.
