as beautiful as this is, my favorite will always be third mission of the 1st game: Having to pick up your remaining cryo trays while Adagio for Strings plays in the background... chills
That scene was one of the first games ever that brought tears to my eyes....
Karak is burning …
😢
The atmosphere is just like HW1 and 2. Immediately pulls me in, the music is awesome as always, that constant anticipation of something attacking any moment... Wonderful. Can't wait to play this.
Didn’t expect them to still be using the same baserunner’s from their time on Karrack
If it ain't broke don't fix it
@@KillerOrca It's ridiculous. Our private companies design new cars annually, but the Hiigaran military industrial complex still uses the same baserunners over a century after Landfall...? As far as easter eggs go, this one was a miss.
I enjoyed your commentary 😊. Looking forward to Part 2!
2:01:59 is so badass
Been looking forward to this, but after watching this I'm having even more of a harder time waiting
Got to save some money up, but oh yes it shall be mine
Don't send out probes until you have collected all recourses in the immediate area and built all you can for as strong a combat fleet. Sending out probes always activates the enemy assault forces.
Will there be a part 2? I enjoyed commentary!
Your situational awareness is not great, don’t repeat don’t push the map let it come to you mixed formations give more flexibility, send security forces with the resource collectors to guard them ,saves you having to micromanage so much. Focus on resource collection as a priority before engaging. I played HW2 a lot and could play the whole campaign without losing a single unit along with capturing every enemy ship possible. Fun time
It took me a while to come around, after the channel switched ownership, but I like this new Arekkz.
Very Entertaining to watch, Thank you! I'd love to see a part two on your channel. Will you be streaming part two?
I havent seen the credits yet to confirm, but from the sound I was so happy that it appears they got the original VA for Karan's dialogue. Feels so nostalgic hearing her in that role again if that is the case 🤗
Is there a Pilot View in this game? I think there was in cataclysm.
The sheer size of that shipyard...
If there is Corvette, it should be universal middle point between Strike Crafts and Frigates.
An anti-capital Corvette? I call it a bullshit!
@@TheRezroI was really disappointed with the corvette too. Incarnate have a bunch of good ones though so I might have to play them more
@@krjal3038 Purely on logic. When strike crafts are specialized to deal with specific threats. Corvette should be bit costlier multi purpose unit, what is not as cost efficient as other solutions. But for example would work as escort of resource collectors (when you do not know what pop up) or fast response unit, at point when there is no much point in having much of specialized strike crafts.
They hook up the Command to the Mothership because there is no man-made computer that is capable of processing the information as is the human brain. That's why Karan was integrated into the Mothership in HW1 and 2.
Mixing bomber with fighter units is messing up each units ability to engage targets
so im curious. What exactly is this game? Ive never played the first two. If I play this is this a game I should play the first two or?
Dock your ships when the action slows to repair your ships.
Damn so the guns on the Mothership and Carriers actually have some bite to them against strike craft.
You should keep all fighters on evasive, it really saves you from building more and more to replace loses. Stop grouping different types of fighters together, it messes with their efficiency.
Did you get the same issue with the game as most do regarding the major drop in fps when a large action starts? Running the game on 200fps ( settings high/epic ), when there is a medium fight going on it instantly drops to 100fps and if the fight is large even under 30fps. This is only on 1v1 or campaign.
Dude when you mix ships they use the slowest ship mobilty to keep formation cohesion. So preferably do not mix them in a formation
Why does this guys voice shound so familiar from another channel. He sounds a like like the same guy from Bannorlords I think he goes by Artem. Can anyone here confirm?
Why did you bother to research cloak for bombers if your not going to use it?
He needs to shut up and build his defenses
I feel like if you dident move the mothership all the way up and out of the dustfield where they dident see it you could have saved your strikecraft
All games have the one eyed symbol in them. I wonder why? Daijal is represented by the one eye.
Ohh look Pleidian ships.
My only nitpick is that they didn't adopt pseudo-realistic ship movement.
WOW NICE I DIED LIKE 5 TIME S IN THE ASTROY STAGE BTW HOW DID YOU GET YOUR SHIP TO SHOOT THEM
IS IT AUTO ?
Yours probably were in passive
YEA U RIGHT I FIGURED IT OUT 1 THING WISH WE CAN BE BAD SIDE IN THIS GAME
@MGS41967 do you know how to turn of caps lock? Hahaha
Do you know the hot keys?
Rotate the mothership she works better vertical
I do later on! Very cool
Nah, it was designed horizontal and looks more fitting that way.
@@riesstiu2khunning It was designed to work both ways.
More F key pls 😅
You have been sitting on 6600 units forever, start building support units already.
I feel that you're ignoring the tactical benefit of using different stances as the situation changes. 55:21 here especially. Sure brute force gets results but you're using up resources replacing units that could have been kept alive if you had utilized passive and neutral stances on the approach and switched to aggressive once the flanking action was complete. Staying aggressive all the time lacks finesse. And please tell me you stop sending resource units into unknown territory without a fighter escort! Send probes ahead to lure out enemies. Thats what they're made for.
The story's written like a young adult novel and some of the lines are truly cringe, but I mean, Homeworld 2 already turned this universe into the land of space wizards and women embodying starships becoming saviours of the galaxy so I'm not really fussed.
Why are hunters so big? It gives me the impression that the pirate carrier is really small and can only carry 6 fighters max. There is a problem of consistency with the different sizes of the units, its buggy eyes and logic.
There's a gameplay visual feature that makes smaller units, like strike craft, scale up in size as the camera moves further away. You can disable this feature in the setting at any time if you prefer ships to have logical and consistent scale.
Do the cutscenes use AI rendering? Something about the expressions seems.... off. Like they're overly expressive.
Stop watching the fighting and start building. You are several steps behind.
Could you please talk less during cutscene and ingame dialogs? It literally ruins the whole atmosphere
Same I understand he’s streaming but it’s a bloody story game we’re here to listen and learn the story and game not you.
Just guy game yourself and play peasants
@@voidwalker9223 no
Buy and play it yourself then
@@benisvoy9367 not really the point.
am i the only one getting an ad every 5 freaking min ??
Publisher is sponsing , yeah thats not going to be worth watch.
Atleast its marked as an ad (for now)
meh, progenitor / monthership trope again... Cataclysm was the last time anything really new came out of the series. Karen looks like she just came out of the salon- da fuq. Gorgeous environments, tho.
... Karan.
There is no homeworld without mothership. There is a in-lore reason for that, as smaller ships use jump drive of the big mama. But if ship selection would be interesting, is separate issue.
@@TheRezro It wouldn't be so bad to start the story with only a Kiith S'jet carrier and small escorts, tasked with researching the Progenitor megaliths. Imogen serves on it as chief scientist -- playing a similar advisor role Rachel did in DoK
Past one or two tutorial missions, where we merely scan things, and deal with some pirates, the fleet is called back to Hiigara, revealing all contact was lost with Karan's flagship.
Numerous carrier groups are sent on a search-and-rescue, and it is Imogen's ship that finds the Khar-Kushan (the only one new Mothership of this class produced).
It's then revealed Karan took one Gate too many. She learned why the Progenitors locked down the Gate Network, threw away the keys (Sajuuk and the Cores), and left the galaxy. Karan sacrificed herself and her crew to crash Khar-Kushan into the fancy ice shelf, so the "enemy" cannot find the cores, but our expedition fleet actually leads them to the Three. They seize the Cores and wipe the icy surface with our Hiigaran ships.
After a one-sided battle, Imogen, being one of Karan's neuroscientist protegees is forced to take her place as Fleet Command. Only now the player repairs and takes control of the Mothership. It launches the same fancy way as in the original game, giving us access to super capital ship production.
@@riesstiu2khunning Ok. I actually agree with your idea here.
Why are you talking during the game dialogues?? Your vioice is making it difficult to listen to the game dialogue. Don't you understand that?
Yeh. General rule of thumb is to not talk during cut scenes.
Please stop talking
