- Cutscenes and Ending 2k 60fps. It's a bit different than previous titles. This one plays more like Starcraft 2 with pretty chaotic unit management. I had to teach myself camera movement to avoid the obsolete sensor array which hasn't improved since the original HW. However, scenario design is superb with new additions of overpowered turrets.
Really hope they will turn the next co-op mode into global events like in Helldivers 2, instead of fighting meaningless waves.

Due to the weight of the situation, the fleet command's communications should always be calm, clear and consise. Even in those "emotional" moments, HW1 and 2 provided good examples:
"Khark is consumed by a firestorm. All orbital facilities destroyed. Receiving no communications from anywhere in the system."
"The Bentusi is collapsing their quantum wave field to consume the Keepers in its blast. They will not survive. Hyperspace initiated."
Those calm dialogs creates even more shocking to the audiences' mind.
While in HW3:
"You foolish girl. You VICOUS GIRL! YOU RUINED EVERYTHING!!!"
They made the story from a space saga straight into a Hollywood B movie. For someone who can lead a faction, posessing the power to destroy the entire galaxy, their leader shouldn't look like that.
There was an original quote that took the lessons learned from Karack battle to hyperspace core, and the beast incident. "Sunrise on Karak" protocol was initiated as both refrence and to state that they could return to higgara destroyed because of their actions due to what originally happened in hw1. The changes were from modules and the addition of reusing designs from hw1 and hw2.
You are so right. One of HW distinct features was that you never saw people, except for very few silhouettes. You saw the fleet, and listened to the comms.
Cataclysm had phenomenal voice acting and transmitted their feelings without ever showing a single face. "At least the Beast doesn't pretend to be righteous!" was made even better when the cutscene just showed the ships in space, and you didn't know if the cutscene would end and you'd have to fight the Bentusi again.
I never liked the story and the absurd focus about hyperspace cores they started in HW2, it contradicted the world building HW1 and Cataclysm set up. This just keeps going down the drain. After such a long wait, a disappointment.
Game looks like any other crap media today with girlpower full of emotions. Sigh. Reminds me of Star Trek Discovery lol.
@@ettan5812 Karen in HW1 and HW2 is the real girlpower. That crazy bt1ch "queen" in HW3? Nah
HW3 is like the StarWars sequel. It's more beautiful than the original, but somehow lost the soul
speaking of cool and collected - when Fleet Command noticed Kharak is in ruins, you can sorta hear the guy's voice crack just a smidge. It is one of those brief glimmers into the character going from that stoic voice to a human being. To me that shows the gravity of the situation vs just screaming how upset you are into the mic...
We really let Gearbox tank a prestigious legacy over 20 years.... for this. We can't settle for this one guys.
"Haha, know that this ship and its crew will back you up, fleet command!" said Intel with gritted teeth after being led around like a puppy for the last 3 hours and stranded in the middle of literal deep space nowhere surrounded by suspect ships that could turn on them at any second
yeah, I see some future DLC conflict there.
Feels this budget focused on visuals than anything
Poorly filmed visuals.
@@SkyHandOneTen Some of these animations look older than last gen console in regards to the rigging and movement. Facial animation is just awful. They should have matched the original sketch style art. The voice acting isn't bad...even if the story is.
Thanks for saving me a lot of time, I'd have been so frustrated had I bought the game.
The first 5 or so cutscenes solidified my doubts about the story.
I wanted "The Expanse", and got "Star Wars" instead.
aye , since the original game state the core was just a replica all the 'chosen one of many aint new' just kills the ambiance , contrived 'ancient' stuff is not cool its just 'get on with it'' :/
personally i'd would just have spun the story of the original game and combined it with the 'beast' aka 'flood foe entity/swarm' expansion why the trans galaxy network was offline and the trans galacitc travle ship was in pieces aka , supposed to go establish new gate to new galaxy but bad luck encountered a 'beast' spore in deep space thought it hade it under control started set up a gate to dial to the nearest hub and say they beaten the beast to a new galaxy but where in a dire state
only for the beast/flood to surge up exposing its intent to leet them call home and give it a backdoor to a tactical asset thus forcing the giant ark/dreadnought ship to self destruct and leave the gate un-activated so any forced activation at least have the hub military forces not get blind sided by subverted id codes
and the infested progenitor ship itself in the 'beast expansion' being a 'life boat' the creature infested that where jeted at deep space and drifted in
it would allow to keep all the hard 'fact' details of the first game and the expansion ,and the 'big' one of hw2 even making the strangely eager to accept orders from strangers dormant progenitor hardware the 'bad guys' used in it partly excused for it due to being locked in basic ''purge'' mode after command network self destroying
while still allowing for hw3 to have something to fight , such as take the start of it but instead of any 'oh no current bad guys' its the day of first probe sent through the trans galatic gate recording savage battle on the other side with multiple super structure wreckage of progenitor design and disturbing massive amounts of half dead infestation things constantly eating chunks of disabled progenitor hardware or itself to reform into new combat forms
ergho , cue player being rushed to deploy with armed forces to aid progenitor forces be it A.I controlled or actual progenitor command on site as a 'sign of good intentions' while the home galaxy more or lees is put into rapid production to establish more mothership supported fleets and scour all its edges to ensure no 'beast' remnants or worse.. new silent 'seeding' spore from another galaxy started eating its edges while sending all spare ships to reinforce the player or fortify the gate entrance further as the savage battle to deny the 'beast' access to the hubs other locked down gates and the potential multiple galaxies worth of resources in them
story still leet the player have a 'impact' and crap but it avoid the obnoxious 'chosen ones' and fix the massive plothole the idiots created when they started the whole 'special cores' crap :(
And that is a bad thing. How?
@@Hellfox777 because the strength of the first game was its scale and that it lacked the 'scifi opera railroad' syndrome , now its buried under those things , not to mention the giant plothole the story become as they keep harping the 'chosen one of many aint new'' crap over and over agen despite how the first game almost was a showcase of how to tell a story without that

@@protato911 Sometimes less is more
@@protato911 Yeah, I actually kind of liked the Gaalsien. A "cult" of people who had turned into religious zealots as their method to preserve the true history of their people and the ultimate, dire warning that they could NOT as a people, leave the planet ever. At risk of bringing down exterminating fires down...you know, like exactly what happened. Twisted sure, but I thought it was a good twist linking back to the story the Bentusi told us in HW1.
This mess? Unrecognizable IMO as a homeworld story...just a story with homeworld words and names.
The fucking turanic raiders wouldve been a better villain. Actually, are they even in this?
Such ham-fisted story. Religious zealotry was done in HW2 and in Deserts of Kharak and now we are again faced with a sat morning cartoon villain with dreams of godhood based on the three space-magic macguffins.
Yeah, they're missing out on what made the original so great.
No protagonist, no first person cutscenes, Homeworld 1 and Cataclysm was the peak. At least the visuals and sound design is nice.
Wasn’t that’s the point of all the major villains on the original game and HW2.
In the OG HW your world gets glasses by an emperor who thinks they can controls life and death. (Like a god) who can with a single word destroy worlds.
In HW2 we are faced with another one who think getting an all 3 Hyper Drive Cores of the ancients they can unlock a godly super weapon. Ie the dreadnaught.
And in this it happens again. A new foe who thinks that because they hold an important site and old knowledge they can act like a god.
@@spaceengineeringempire4086 1 actually was the taidan upholding a treaty that prevented the kushans from space travel. There was no god, it was simply business
The 3 cores were always macguffins. They just dragged amazing stories behind them in HW1 and 2.
For me, in the earlier HWs, I always felt like just another crew member experiencing this huge tragedy and genocide. That is what made it feel so grand and personal at the same time.
@@taiidaniblues7792 yeah i get that they are mucmuffins, but in HW3 then suddenly were able to make clones of the cores even though you dont need the cores to hyperspace, so why even bring that up?

Thank you for creating this video, good editing job! Had enough gameplay to make it interesting and not too much to make it boring. I enjoyed watching it and thanks for adding the end credits kudos to you :)

My i7-5500U finally cooked itself in January (after someone damaged a lot of stuff in my apartment). The replacement i7-6500U board was meant to come with a GT940M (I know that's old and "weak" but better than integrated). The "New old stock" board was refurbished and a scam... no GPU. The second board was sent to the wrong address, I recieved the other customer's chromebook board.
The last board available on the internet is finally on the way, but still not here 5 months later. I was excited and mentally ready to play this 3 days ago... This was what I needed to just relax mid exams, enjoy some nostalgia and the story.

Its a good thing that the Higarians didnt have access to a Progenitor Dreadnaught or Sajuuk to deal with the these new enemies. hmmmm

How it could have been made IMMEDIATELY better. Scrap the Incarnate Queen entirely (not losing much) and replace her with a Karen corrupted by the United Hyper Cores. Tadaa. Just like that I have better sense than an entire writing board. (Not much of an accomplishment)
I'd say an ancient, genocidal AI, could've taken her place without any issue as well (despite its prevalence in media lately). Something left by a non-human biological intelligence, long before the Progenitors entered this galaxy, but also something lacking its own hyperspace technology.
Establishing the Gate Network allowed it to move about, explaining why the Progenitors have shut down the Gates, and left the galaxy altogether, after scattering all the Network keys across it.
Or we could've gotten a faction related to HW2 Planet Killers, and solve their mystery. Maybe the T-Mat that was planned so long ago, instead of wasting the faction's name on such an antagonist now.
Use the Anomaly to finally canonize Cataclysm or something like that
"Vertical orientation" when there is no down in space makes zero sense
Wow Awesome! Thanks for uploading this excellent game play 👍💯
The beginning was fine. It was when the queen was introduced that it started to go down, I thought the queen would be Karen since she had united the cores and it was established in Homeworld 2 that possessing the cores can cause you to mad with power. It happened to us and in HW2 and Karen had all 3.
I don't think even begining was good. In previous games we haven't been shown any people in cutscenes, everything was on the shoulders of great voice actors. It should have stayed that way.
And they never explained whatever happened to Sajuuk. You know, the monster of a Progenitor warship that decimated Makaan's hail mary destruction of Hiigera from the grave. Yeah. No explaination as what happened to that.
The beginning was just as ludicrous.
The background: A spacial anomaly or unknown enemy emerges, causing trade ships to disappear around certain Gates.
What does Hiigaran Command do? They send the national hero Karan S'jet (with 200 years of experience as Fleet Command) in a brand new class of Mothership and an ESCORT FLEET to investigate.
Looking good so far. The Hiigarans are a galactic superpower and the only polity with access to Long Jumps. Fair enough to imagine the rest of the galaxy expects them to act in a time of crisis.
Except... they put all three friggin Hyperspace Cores in Khar-Sajuuk. All the eggs in one basket, despite the Three was needed together only to activate the Eye for the first time (since other vessels are using the Gates on their own now). Next -- apparently -- they did nothing. They didn't mobilize their entire sand-cursed navy to search for the Cores (to hell with the ships and staff) -- the very devices Hiigara's influence depended on. Well, this actually makes sense, since they no longer had ANY Cores. The entire galaxy was left with Short Jumps (just a few light years of range). And you can't search the Outer Rim on Short Jumps, because stars can be too far apart for them! Hence why the Outer Rim Trade Routes were established by the Bentusi AFTER they found the First Core.
20 years later, Imogen Sue designs three synthetic cores. What does Hiigaran Command do?
They put all the three cores in one basket again... And send them into the anomaly, with Imogen Sue as Fleet Command (0 experience this time). IN THE SAME Mothership class. Oh, but there's a difference! Khar-Kushan has no escort fleet this time... Only a handful of fighters. Martyrs of Kharak, the brains on those dozen writers!
Someone might think Long Jumps could be helpful in evacuating the systems affected by the anomaly. Heck, Homeworld defense strategy should incorporate their use. But nah.
That's just the bare beginning, excluding the idiotic fact a Hiigaran Navy station, holding vital production module for the Mothership had no defensive garrison to even fend off some pirate fighters.
So tell me, how is this "fine"?
@@riesstiu2khunning Probably not the smartest thing. Command probably thought about ending the threat rather than evacuating everybody though you wouldn't need all 3 cores. Karen did fine during most of HW2 with one core so others could have been given to military vessels or a smaller version of a mother ship created.
Sands and sinners has to be the worst frustrated catchphrase ever made for a video game LOL
HW1 was about Hiigarans reclaiming their place in the stars. HW2 was about defending their victory from the Taidans regrouped under a religious fanatic. HW3 should have been about the final resolution and why it all happened in the first place, and the opponent should have been truly staggering, like a rogue AI or Progenitors coming back to "restore order" and absolutely destroying all Hiigarans have built with ease but Hiigarans coming back like "no, we've earned this peace with blood"
Yeah this enemy was definitely not as strongas what karen mentioned
Thank you for saving me having to buy this enshitified dross myself.

For a 60$ it is a incredible short game, black and white cutscenes from the original games were somewhat iconic to Homeworld franchise, now with this colourful animations it looks like just another star wars game, huge let down for me. Main antagonist is just a joke.
the weaponized hyperspace felt like the answer to the plot holes from Deserts of Kharak where random ships just hyperspace into Kharak underground.
edit: then again im just speculating
i think the DoK explaination of the "hyperspace core causing a anomaly" is sufficient enough for it to not be a plothole
@@rawrmcsaurs6052 that's a poor explanation too. It felt like the easiest answer the writers could come up with: it's all because of ✨Space Magic✨
@@toastergaming7783 yeah the HW3 hyper space magic is insanely "pulled out of ass"-ish, especially when there was no history of moving objects being hyperspaced
Not at all if you remember those ships got teleported inside of the planet and didn't add any momentum of any kind remember hyperspace does not impart any momentum into real space and does this idea of weaponizing hyperspace as a sort of projectile attack is nonsense
The only theoretically unique ways and weaponize hyperspace is by turning off the gravitational Fail-Safe sensor to allow you to get past gravitational well generators
i dont understand how in the year 2000 with cataclysm, they managed to make a compelling immersive story with emotional fleet command and fleet intel, and at the same time sound so human and so relatable compared to this BS tantrums and dialogue that made me roll my eyes backwards from the cringe multiple times throughout the story and the story itself being entirely reliant on absurd amounts of chance and randomness to happen..... this is stupid....
thanks for this video, you saved me 70$.... i owe you this much
what is the background music at the start of the video?
Adagio for Strings - Platoon. This is not in current HW3 OST but can be found in prior HW OSTs.
There's no... stakes. To be more exact: there's no personal/emotional investment in what is happening. Events and situations and "oh no the galaxy is at stake or something" is just thrown on your lap. I think they're expecting people to be invested in these character PURELY by merit from playing the previous games, which just does not work at all.
It is incredibly ironic how this game is way more character focused/driven than the previous ones, but fails to get you invested whereas the previous ones did this really well.
It's me or they leave the door open for campaign dlc, in some of the cutscenes they mention about the taiiidan vassal state, that's means than the taiidan imperialist it's still there, would be good idea than since khar kushan fleet is unable to return, hiigara is being attacked by a renovated taiidan empire than have an opportunity to attack an enemy without a major defenses, and if we take in count what happen with hwm, vaygr still there just without a leader (Son of makaan lives so he can take the command of the far reaches warriors), Incarnate units works like a hive mind, they with do again with a new leader. since hiigarans as lost their advantage than offered the progenitors drives and no major race have a far jumper anymore, there chances than if the devs and a good will add an renovated taiidan and vaygr would be a good addition for the game. everything it's possible if the devs want it.
There is a video where one guy is ranting about “do not buy homeworld 3”. He mentioned there was going to be no campaign dlcs for reasons I can’t readily recall. Search his video and watch it and maybe that will help you.
Just the fact that we ended up stranded in the Nimbus galaxy alone opens up the door to many possibilities. I feel like this story was made just to give us an excuse to go to the nimbus galaxy to find Karan then go from there. There's still multiple empires from Homeworld mobile they can bring in
Damn, I speak for myself, but I didn't enjoy the story. It lacked the grandeur and mystic of HWII that I grew to love, having played the campaign a few times over. And, it seemed like there were fewer ships also, but it was hard to tell cause we weren't able to get a close look at them. They didn't seem interesting. Ah, well. I was waiting to buy this on GoG and not Steam cause of the Kernel level anti cheat that's in it. Might not buy it all-together now. Thank you for the upload, sir.
imo, it started out strong, but took a weird mystical turn. The sidelining of Karen for this new character is a bit of an odd choice as well. Almost feels like a self insert, which takes away from the story.
It just got woke tainted all over. Start from Galactic crisis and end up as a rejected woman being lonely? This is not Home World.
Is it me or is the voice acting poorer than the previous HW's. HW3's use of 3D character models seems to have resulted in the scripts and VA's phoning in a performance.
Even Deserts of Kharak had that oil paint filter that messed up the visuals enough that when you do see a character model, they are not emoting but rather focused on their work.
... And now when I see this new S'Jet I cannot unsee the horse face they modelled for what I presume to be a women... Grud I hope the new S'Jet isn't based on someone who allowed their likeness to be used and then had her avatar altered to avoid having to pay her residuals.

It answers such questions, as how the Emperor knew Karan's name, and attacked Karan in hyperspace to Higara in the first game, why the Bentusi were terrified of the Beast in Emergence, and how Karan knew Makaan had a Dreadnought in the 2nd Homeworld.
This concept of mental scape is a cool way to show how Navigators are capable of real destruction if they are not trained to handle it all.
It is quite cool, actually. Considering Tia Maa, that is a really great hint at Tiamat. The Sumerian dragon goddess that was a real danger in myth.
@@shauntempley9757 Good points. I was kinda confused during the island cutscenes when imogen was communicating via the Hyperspace Dimension. I merely forgot that from the previous games lol. It was portayed in an odd way in this game
@@shauntempley9757 Except it doesn't answer those questions.
The Emperor's attack was physical in nature, blasting the machinery linking Karan to the Mothership. Nothing of such scope was shown in HW3. Karan and Imogen remained unaffected during the final battle. Instead, the queen can stabilize quantum wave fronts to make them act like gates. That's all.
Bentusi feared the Beast because they've encountered it before (probably during tests on the First Core in the First Time era), and they knew getting infected would make them "slaves within their own bodies; eternally".
In Cataclysm, Bentusi have also described what it means to be Unbound: "The solar winds blow across our skin. Hyperspace sings in our ears. The Universe unfolds around our thoughts.”
Neither them nor Fleet Command experiences these things through hyperspace, but as described in the original manual, through the neural interface connecting to ship systems. The ships are their bodies. Karan was said to lose all sensory connection to her own body. Hyperspace is clearly not a medium through which Unbound "see" things. It's the ship sensor arrays that give them new senses.
And Tiaa'ma is likely just another easter egg pointing to T-Mat, as Planet Killers were in HW2. Just another loose end in the saga's story. The T-Mat race name was surely inspired by Tiamat, but now nothing remains of its grand concept.
i waited 20 years for a continuation and all i got was just another female power fantasy. thanks for nothing.

I instantly hate idea of long free floating hair inside a tank. It's awful, unpractical, potentially dangerous to singular person fleet command.
That would be true if she wasn't floating in a vat of hair gel... Because her hair never moves.
Looking at the early gameplay first look trailer they changed the character model as well from clearly feminine to 'not so much'
@@davfree9732be happy we got anything, they could have given us another cancer patient

If floating is the problem, what do you say about the connecting sequence in the intro? The cable goes into the head socket THROUGH HAIR. Ludicrous. She should've been assisted in connecting by some medical officers, and enter zero-g after they leave.
The story looks like shit but I am happy they made the game modder friendly, because it is truly stunning. I wish this game as much success as possible because it would be awesome if they remastered Deserts of Kharak with full mod support (and some extra SP content).
I think that with the mod support the community might be able to craft a proper story within this framework
Wait, is the queen of the incarnate from dessert of Kharak if so damn! How did she live? The planet burned?

По этой игре можно неплохой фильм снять.
What was that? They really screwed the story. I really like the story of HW1, HWC, and DoK. Heck even the weak HW2 story is more interesting than this. I'll only buy this one on discount.

Weakest story in the franchise which is really easy to take but this is just shit. Years of us waiting for it, to only end in literally nothing beneficial for the overall story arc. @@brokengamer9675 Oh no, I agree with you. To clarify... it seems between what they started to make and what they actually made... designs were altered and imho look worse.
Based on the stories and common threads between adapting games to 'The modern audience' it seems the story was a victim of appealing to the stakeholder audience.
Many of those designs appear in the credits background and Imogen looks to have taken the brunt of it by having her face slapped with an clothes iron.
@@davfree9732 Agree. There are some videos there that are showing "leeks" of entirely different cinematic's and story line, which were scraped afterwards by one person tending to, as you say, shareholders... worldview. Btw; it also looks like that person has self inserted as Imogen.
@@rohenthar8449it's not just shareholders, it's investment firms like black rock gearbox gonna get more money through increasing their ESG score even if the game fails in the process.
The cinematics are great, I just want to pinpoint something regarding the very first image. These people are an interplanetary empire, why would they build a ship so incredibly big on the surface? Its would be so freaking energy expensive the lift off, if we not consider that gravity would very likely shred it to pieces.

Cinematics are amazing and the storyline is pretty good, if not a bit vague at times in regards to the world-building, I chalk it down to the campaign format. I liked the setting of Homeworld 2 but the story was a bit mid, this is much better, the characters have presence and background like in DoK. It's funny to think that if Karan had any more presence in the other 2 games, that some players would have had a fit of rage because apparently it's too much to have a woman, let alone a handful of them have personality and emotion in a story.
No, it's because this new nav and honestly this whole story feels too generic. It basically looked at all the ominous mystical elements of the previous games, and tossed it aside. Plus, homeworld has NEVER been a very character driven story. "characters" are usually stand ins for their whole species. It evelates the story tenfold because when someone like the kith somtaaw captain, or the beast, or the vaygr, or the garden of Kadesh speak, they represent their whole species, their culture, their entire existence. You can infure so much just from how two ships interactiing. In this, there's none of that. The incarnate are just mindless, pointless thralls. There's nothing else out in the unknown region. It's just a slap feast featuring Mr.Military and the floating giantess stand in as they fight lady space hitler. It's so drab.
What bullshit is this ? First time in Milenia another navigator appeared ? Da fuq ? And Bentusi were what ? Flies ? Karen didnt exist ?

There's a monster in every one of us, but that's not their narrative.
The cherry on top was the cutscene after finding Karan, however. Isaac Paktu, the Fleet Intelligence officer saying "I assume you two geniouses have a plan." Geez. Not that it's your job, man. Those are supposed to be neuroscientists, not military strategists. Their purpose on the Motherships has always been to maintain control over its systems. But girls can do anything, and men just have to listen, right?
I understand, that you are just some dude that posted this on youtube and has nothing to do with the development of this game, but I'm still gonna dislike this video because of how offensively bad this story is compared to homeworld, cataclysm, or even homeworld 2.

I think that this would have worked if they actually put in some effort, the whole we have to convince her is logical if you think of the power she holds
Used to make maps or alter existing ones in HW 1 and 1.5 on C++. I had open Homeworld back in the nineties and early 2000's. Time to get rid of the f'minism and fefail leadership, men are no longer interested in Boss f3minists leadership. Men now find f3male leaders absolutely revolting, especially in games. Was fine back in 99 and 2000 but not anymore. 😊 Should have gone with a strong male lead. A man to protect his family, the way it always has been. Males buy and play these games. Females nag us and tell us they could never understand something like HW. The makers don't understand their audience. It is males, our offspring remember us playing. Our sons want to play their long lost father that mom ran off. Figure it out already.😊

Girl power? My friend this isn't girl power. It's laziness. They're basically trying to gradialized the concept of a "navigator" to the status of something like a jedi or super saiyan. The story's writing is less "woke" (whatever that even means) and more shobby. Hell, there's barely anything actually *new* in this game compared to even HW2 or DOK. Just a fault of having 14 writers and working for the grease man randy pitchford.

So much complaining in the comments. It's so nice to have a peaceful ending at last, and a resolution to the story of the cores. Insanity from being left alone too long is very much a thing, as is the truth that absolute power corrupts absolutely.
What seems to me to me the biggest complaints though, are the lack of white men for the basement dwellers to identify with. The Hiigarans escaped a desert world, they'll mostly be darker skinned. Karen S'jet was the first Fleet Command, a woman. A role where empathy and exploration would needed to guide the lost Hiigarans... Home. Imogen is the same. She makes the connections to find the solution to save her people.
As for pacing, the pressure is always there, even if it isn't always, in your face. The decimation of the entire galaxy is at stake.
Religious zealotry? Ah yes. Thats been in every game, underpinning each villain.

For real. These reviews and opinions make no fucking sense at times lol. What I got from this is yes the queen is a threat but we are also trying to explore the nimbus galaxy so of course the story is gonna have a different vibe then going back to Hiigara, or fighting the beast, or living through the events of DOK before building the first mothership. The first game blew everyones minds back then so thats why we always compare it to other hw games but over the years games have out with great stories as well so now HW has more competition and even more comparisons. In general, this game does feel HW, although slightly faster paced. Ending I did not expect but approve. Story to me was "good enough" to keep the story moving while I enjoyed "ships shooting each other in space" 7/10 for me
@@Mazhura_13B "the queen is a threat" makes no sense considering "hyperspace is being weaponised" doesnt make sense. The old games were great because it was a story about survival of a race, and failure meant extinction. HW3 not only made hyperspace a joke, but also introduced probably the weakest villian in history with the protagonist almost being a crying sobbing mess because "my people die". That is no way to be a "fleet command". Otherwise there are also older and less known 3d space rts that play better than HW3.
